Good show. Fascinated that the doctors point out that you can tell a person’s lifestyle by looking at them. Years ago I sat at a food counter in a restaurant and the man next to me (who I did not know), was an MD. An ER doctor. We got to speaking of health. He said he could tell by looking at a patient how much they drink. I said ok, how much do I drink? He literally guessed the exact number of drinks I had a week. While it wasn’t excessive, it was routine. I had 3 small glasses of wine per week. Every week. I was shocked. I said ‘how do you know that??’ He said by looking at your skin and your eyes. I decided right then and there to quit my wine. To this day I’m still just blown away by his accuracy.

The French drink wine every day, it doesn't kill you in moderation, (just like everything else) did the good doctor tell you that NOT enjoying the little things in life can kill you more?....all of this advice is to be taken as something that may, or may not, pertain to you in your life. My advice, always get more than one opinion and absolutely do your own research! By the way, I heard absolutely nothing about vitamin C which is crucial in helping the human body create collagen.

the fact he brings up that story of a patient dying is applaudable for me, he runs the risk of people blaming it on him , and viewing him in a negative light, but for the purpose to get his message of realization across and tell it how it is, he tells that story anyway. and i think thats how it should be. so many times people hide certain facts for the fear of being unjustly judged, and it causes more damage than it does good

Actually, the woman died because of her years of poor lifestyle choices: bad food, poor nutrition and blocked arteries... Which is what the good doctor is trying to help prevent in society by educating us on good nutrition and good lifestyle choices. We need more doctors and scientists like him, because we cannot trust the lettered acronyms in gov to tell us the truth!😮 The Food Pyramid has been upside down to create profit for big corporations!!!🤬 That's why there's a huge epidemic of Type 2 Diabetes & Metabolic Syndrome with Non-alcoholic Fatty Liver Disease! 😢

This whole 'anti aging' message that is so common in our culture is so incredibly toxic and needs to end. Re: Toxic sunscreen. I have light Asian skin like you. At an outdoor summer wedding I sat next to my cousin who is very white complected. We sat in full sun, and I could not understand why my skin burned, but hers did not. I had been avoiding sunscreen because of the toxins. She wasn’t wearing sunscreen either. I was wearing sunglasses and she was not. A few months later, I ran across an article that explained how UV light enters the eye, telling the brain to produce melanin to protect the skin! That made sense to me, so I stopped wearing sunglasses which trick the brain into thinking ‘it’s safe, you don’t have to protect yourself! Whenever I was in the sun, which was a lot, gardening and outdoors all summer, I purposelessly would not wear sunglasses. Now, I get a beautiful, deep tan with zero burning! The only time I wear sunglasses is if I’m in driving, in the shade, or only for a moment if I’m trying to see something in bright sun. What an epiphany!

I definitely agree with the sugar thing. I have had a few periods in my life where I have managed to completely eradicate sugar (including 'white' carbs) from my diet and my skin has looked amazing. With me it can't be any other thing because I don't use make-up or creams (including sun tan lotion, I cover up instead, long sleeves, trousers and hats and don't go out in the midday sun) and never wash my face with soap, just water. Currently my skin looks terrible because I spent the last six months being cruel to myself, eating loads of sweets, cakes and other rubbish but that has finally stopped. Fortunately, at least I don't drink pop, only peppermint tea and water so that helps a bit. The intermittant fasing is also brilliant - best bit is how the excess fat falls off all the right parts of the body the ones that never seem to shift when doing regular calory counting diets. Thank you gentlemen for sharing such an informative video.

I'm 47 now and I have a lot of energy (I practice capoeira and walk around 10km a day), but my face has melted quite a lot - however my body and my décolletage still looks young. The problem with the face is that I smoked for over 20 years (started when I was 13) + sunbathing without sunscreen till my early 30s, alcohol, a lot of exposure to pollution, some drugs and 4 teeh extracted for braces which changed my face structure quite a lot. If anything, a plant based diet, based on whole foods mostly, probably is keeping me healthy, otherwise I'd have developed a lot of diseases by now

Proteins can only be utilized by the body in the form of amino acids. In other words, proteins such as collagen are broken down into amino acids and can only then pass through the intestinal wall. Additionally, ribosomes can only build proteins from individual amino acids. Another reason why collagen will not be absorbed as such is the immune response it would elicit as a foreign protein. The conclusion is that consumed collagen cannot be directly incorporated into the skin's collagen by the body. So collagen is of no use via the parenteral route and direct application to the skin is also of no use because the skin barrier prevents substances, especially whole protein molecules, from being reabsorbed.

Do you recommend taking vitamin C along with your collagen supplement? I read that collagen and vitamin C supplements work better together because vitamin C is a nutrient that can help boost your body's natural production of collagen. In other words, taking collagen and vitamin C together will likely boost your skin health more than taking either on their own.

120 pounds divided on 2.2 to get weight in Kg.Take 1 one gram of protein per one kg oh your body weight. As we get older we need 1-1.2 gm per kg is good. Too much protein change into sugars by liver cells. Protein are not stored as carb. And fat.Body uses old proteins and recycling it by autophagy with intermittent fasting and prolonged fasting. Healthy life styles keep skin healthy. Women do plastic surgery and sorry to say ugly is because of their brains are inflamed and see their bodies and faces. It is never ending story . They do nose , then another surgery on nose. Then on breast and so on. They are cow cash for medical industry.

@victorycall
@victorycall 8 месяцев назад
I strive to get at least 100 grams of protein every day (age 51, 130 lbs) and it's effortless with my animal based way of eating. One pound of ground beef = 100 grams of protein, done. If I'm eating OMAD (one meal a day) I can easily eat a pound of ground beef in one sitting, but it could be broken into 3 meals if preferred and it really doesn't feel like eating the whole cow. A day without beef for me might be 6 eggs, a half pound of cheese, and a can of sardines, again approximately 100 grams of protein. Obviously I'm willing to take the gamble on high dietary cholesterol and saturated fat, and for what it's worth I feel great and look good too. I eat nuts and veg too.
@helenstella2226
@helenstella2226 8 месяцев назад
Unfortunately you need more protein as you age, not less, because your protein absorption decreases with age. I would take 100g as a bare minimum. Vegetable protein is not absorbed as well as that from animals. Eggs are great, from a protein and heathy fat perspective, and like the previous poster said, a pound of meat per day. That can be hamburger patties (avocado mayo and mustard, no bun), sausage patties, chicken thighs, lamb. Be careful with protein powders because a lot of them have sugars and starches. Good luck!

I've never tried it, but I've tried something similar from the grocery store (Lao Gan Ma Spicy Chili Crisp sauce)....not on my sardines but I think I'll try it. HINT: I get the ones WITH bones & skin because they're great for calcium intake. I would recommend against it. I had a relative who was vegan for about 3 years and was definitely the "do it right" type, with a very diversified and "healthy" plant-based diet. The regular battery of tests that they do for checkups will present that you are healthy. I watched a lot of RU-vid videos about the proper type of testing to show deeper issues. Though it was very difficult, I finally convinced my relative to get these tests and went with them to the doctor. Both they and the doctor chuckled about how these tests were not necessary, but when the results came back, the doctor did an about face and my relative (thankfully) stopped being vegan that day.

What were the issues? All the science/research on the net claim that a well balanced plant based diet is the healthiest protocol for healthy aging and longevity.
@SoniaSL-RD19
@SoniaSL-RD19 2 месяца назад
@@BradStelmach I don't remember everything, because we had a whole battery of tests done .. but these are the main issues that I remember.. Low methylmalonic acid (which you need to live) he even had this after I convinced him to start taking methylcobalamin supplements. A regular B12 test will not show the accurate methylmalonic acid level. Low testosterone, even though he didn't look like it. Very low cholesterol, which is actually not a good thing. This is after I had convinced him to eat one egg a day and it had to be a particular brand that he was okay with. Low cholesterol makes you more likely to have a stroke. Low cholesterol is not the problem with heart disease. High sugar, high carb and diabetes are more linked to heart disease. When you eat a lot of sugar and carbs, you get insulin surges which causes lesions in your arteries. The cholesterol Is coming in to try to patch those lesions and can then build up. It's like blaming the firefighter for the damage to your house when they're trying to put out a fire. Women's cholesterol is typically higher than men's and women live longer. There is a correlation between amount of cholesterol and longevity. Vitamin D, if your cholesterol levels are too low, you cannot make vitamin D, no matter how much sun you get. Same goes for people on statins. There is also an agenda.. an actual agenda, called Agenda 2030. If you've never heard of it, it's not exactly in our favor and it's plans include transitioning all of us to plant-based diets. Dig deeper.. a lot of those studies about vegetarianism and veganism are coming out of Loma Linda, which is a Seventh-Day Adventist University with a bias toward that because of their religious beliefs (although their "prophet" who wanted them to follow that type of diet, was known to have been caught cheating by eating oysters and meat, by her personal assistant) and big pharma, who's not exactly looking out for our best interests. If a person is eating a diet void of processed foods, it's going to be better for them. Also a lot of studies that they run don't cover the gamut of what those people do with the rest of their lives, like smoking, drinking ect besides their diet. They haven't done studies comparing people who eat organic grass-fed meat and organic vegetables and low carb (ideally) against someone who just eats vegetables and carbs. I recommend Dr. Natasha Campbell McBride (who says that being vegan is fine for about 2 months at the most, for a cleanse, but then you need to begin nourishing yourself again. It can be cleansing, but not nourishing) Dr. Ken Berry although I disagree with him on the issue of microbiome and not worrying about meet being grass-fed), Dr. Eric Berg (who promotes cleaner keto eating) and Dr. Jason Fung (intermittent fasting). There are also a host of former vegan videos where they tell the things that happened to them after being on it for a while. You have a certain amount of stores in your body and depending on how athletic you are, is how soon you will burn through them. There was a gentleman in one of the videos who was extremely athletic, a cyclist. And he talked about how he was eating some oatmeal type thing one day and something crunchy was in there and he pulled it out and it was one of his teeth. He did some digging and realized that the veganism was causing this. I think he said it had something to do with the bone breaking down in his body because of the lack of vitamin D. By the time he got his health back on track he had lost nine teeth. Another video featured a woman who was a vegan activist and is now no longer vegan. She had deterioration of the bone in her spine. Then there's also the crazy banana lady.. There's a lot more to all of this than people realize because there's so much propaganda. Best to you and take care...🙂
