Interested in seeing some of the other fish in the fish barn and other fish room I have visited. Check it this playlist: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-xf36b-cu0Eo.html
Those Variatus Cuacuilco are absolutely stunning! I’ve never seen them available. The wild type variatus with the red or yellow tails with bars or spotting are far and away my favorite fish in the hobby.
I bought a few Blue Mickey Mouse female Platys from my local big box pet store who were already pregnant. And a single male Yellow Mickey Mouse Platy. Within a month the females spawned some beautiful fry, some of which didn't make it, but thats ok because my tank is well planted and has many floating plants to hide them and the ones who made it through are now half grown and showing that wonderful blue color. I am hoping that the new female fry will breed with the yellow male and get a cross of color between the two once the fry reach breeding maturity. My question is is that possible to cross the colors, or will one color gene be dominant and just be a single color
@@FishTankBarn thanks dude. I was looking at some pics online and they look gorgeous. I'll email the videos to you once they start spawning. Might be a while because all the females are only half grown lol. Keep up the good videos though lol.
I do find the wild speices to pretty similar in personality. I have found the males to be a little more territorial (not bad) than the domesticated fish. They do definitely establish a heirarchy
Hey Mike, where do you get your platies? Im really wanting some high fin sunset variatus platies or even regular short fin. Ive been looking for months and havent found a source I believe I can trust. Ideally I would like to get them online.
