Nature -Wild Life - Insect Life . Platycnemis Pennipes is about 32 millimetres long. Mine exemplar is bigger, 5 cm I estimate it.
The female can be seen here • Platycnemis Pennipes (...
The male has a blue abdomen that is often pale and usually has a greenish thorax. The female is a very pale yellow-green colour with black markings.
The habitat of this being is in unpolluted and well-vegetated, slow-moving rivers and streams; occasionally in lakes and ponds.
Is a predator, eating other insects. Can be seen in my pictures, is feeding with a small insect.
