I have an instant pot at home and thought about making it in it. How long do you cook the soup once you put the sausage, potato and dill in it. Also my grandma makes it with old fashioned buttermilk and heavy cream
@@DietscheMejal1 Noodles in Sommer barcht is so good. Only add it at the table otherwise it will get soggy. Yes do a video of the restaurant soup. Would love to see if you make it the same way :-)
oh man. i love this channel !! my co-worker Ernesto Peters said you looked so familiar in your vids and then realized he went to school with you and your brother he said.
Wow that’s so interesting! Can he remember how far apart we were? I can’t seem to recall the name but if I was a photo I would. I have a photographic memory so names are not easy to remember

"Halle Flint"! Love Sommaborscht! Na sie eck warktlich soo motijch, ooda es et laut, hungat mi too soaja, ooda ha eck too fael soon TeeHaCee/CeeBeeDee krut fat enjenomen? One of my favorite Mennonite soups, "noodle sup" comes close. If you want to make that kind off soup and you live in Canada (Alberta) you can buy a good quality smoked ham at your local grocery store and use that. We usually make it with either smoked ham or sausage usually not both (Meat here is freakishly expensive). In Canada (Alberta) you can buy the sausage at IGA (Sobeys) or Coop or basically any local grocery store. For you that frequent Butcher shops most will sell you the sausage. Or buy it from "Dietsche Sturn" For your info here in Southern Alberta the pork sausage is called and sold as Mennonite Sausage it tastes different than the Farmer Sausage. Make sure you spend the extra money and buy the expensive kind the others are to dry (made by Mennonites with to much stingy Dutch blood). Relax relax I also have tons of dutch blood plus I'm surrounded by Catholic and Reformed Dutch so I've earned a right to say that ;). Cheers! to a good Sommaborscht with pie (for me its creamed topped chocolate pudding pie, pudding made from scratch mind you).
Saludos
