plave are so underrated, their talent and music goes so hard. when i got into them i really thought to myself , ah good music is back

in early days, they did hire producers and choreographers for their debut but they weren't satisfied and theyre not taking seriously by people. they also received a lot of rejections so they step up and told their CEO that theyll produce and choreograph themselves, all their music are made by them by scratch to tuning and directing and they team up with VENDORS who polishes the rest of their song, the fact that they did all that makes it more even special thats why fans appreciate them more and the fact that you find them bangerz goes to show theyre really good. all of their MV is telling their story/lore from backgrounds, movements to the tiniest details, thats what makes them unique and exciting, its up to your imagination how you interprete them and connect them. the MV Way 4 Luv is heavily mocap, you are right about that, it took them 5days to film the entire scene. thanks for being open minded about it, i love that you taking your time and their efforts were appreciated that way, i would say they work twice or thrice hard than average kpop group since they do everything from music producing to choreographs and wearing mocap suit/sensors is challenging and not easy to move in, just imagining them behind the scene dancing and entertaining with all those suits. hoping for more PLAVE content in the future

With their virtual identity they produce music for Plave only. Right! You can really feel their sincerity to become a singer. As the other comment said, actually before their debut they asked some producer and paid some choreographer to make their debut song and choreo but ended up with rejection and disappointed choreo that looked like for kids. That's why they choose to self produce all of it. I really recommend you to check out their Asterum 134-1 Highlight live stream. That was yejun in the sixth summer! It's 2 people rapping in wait for you. It was hamin before switching to eunho. The high note was bamby! Yes, it was a different member in way 4 luv. It was eunho at first, before switching to yejun. The one who sang the way 4 luv at the end was noah. They might be exploring music wise in their next comeback because they've mentioned that way 4 luv concludes the asterum trilogy. They don't have someone stand in for a member. The mocap tech is configured according to each member so it'll most likely glitch out. The member would just go on hiatus.

I'm glad you like Plave's music. Hopefully, after you have listened to all their songs, you will also listen to their cover songs. I'm sure there will be many covers you like (like how cover songs in concert attract you 🥰). All covers on the official channel are in 2 playlists: "From. PLAVE" and "PLAVE Cover". For your information, all cover songs (including covers in concert) are made/mixed by the members.

They don't have anyone replace a member for mocap stuff, each member only plays as themself but they have had stunt doubles like in their concert they had one for an enemy that Hamin faught (he knows taekwondo). Also Plave Livestreams on RU-vid twice a week all in their mocap and everything. Eunho just had his birthday stream.

I second the comments about checking out their covers ( Maybe we can see your surprise at the all rounded members singing and rapping) as well as their comeback live performance. The merry pllimas MV (Yejun going from low to high and also highnote from someone unexpected). And maybe their en-en-encore livestream where they sang some of their songs live too. If you enjoy musical, they have a highlight of their musical livestream. Noah and Eunho's livesteam cover of Don't Cry by The cross is legendary too. I don't think they will release stereo recorded versions of the covers they did on their fan concert, but there are a few videos with good audios on here of their solo stages ( just the audio versions).

6th summer feels so Given 🥹. I really love that song, actually all their songs are lit! My fave is Virtual Idol and Our Movie.... Plus it feels so 3rd gen 👀, as a 3rd gen fan their songs really captured my heart.

You approached them with an open mind, did some research, and also took the time to understand the virtual concept(which is unfamiliar and difficult to some people). In a lot of other reaction videos, Plave and Vlast(their company)‘s work often get dismissed as AI-generated content so I was very glad that you knew it wasn’t that. Also another thing that seems to happen a lot are MV reactors immediately wants to doxx the real life people behind Plave. We should respect their privacy and identity. So your video was a very fresh reaction. Anyway, I love that at the end of the day, you recognize their music and also the amount of work and credit their team/staff deserve too.

Thanks for checking out and reading up on them first! It's great that when they make a song, the producing team keeps in mind everyone's vocal strengths, and gives each member a chance to shine. The choreography team also puts a lot of meaning in the dance moves, such as doing callbacks to previous songs. There's a lot of fun tidbits like this, plus their personalities and dynamics are so fun, and of course their music is neat. As someone who never followed K-pop or idols before, I found it very easy to fall for them. Hope you eventually listen to the rest of their songs!

You should probably watch some of their music shows or dance practice bc then you can see which members sang which lines and see the whole choreography. They seriously have a no skip album as well imo so you can check on that too. If you were drawn from their covers, they make great cover songs on their youtube playlist! Certified bangers i swear. Also they don’t have anyone to substitute when it comes to the mocap equipment, each member does have their own avatar model and they do their part so it’s fun to see when they perform their songs.

Thank you for the reaction! I really enjoyed it. Also with regards to a member not being able to be there for a performance, so far we don't know how they will deal with it as this situation has not yet happened. I think it is very unlikely another member will take over the mocap as each person moves differently and they have different tendencies and habits, so i would assume that it would look pretty weird especially with the facial tracker. Usually when they are sick, they change who comes out for their live broadcasts so that the sick person can rest or they just let the sick person take it easy. I feel that what is more likely to happen for a performance is maybe they sit out and just sing, or they use a pre-recorded dance and sing over it in the case they are physically injured and not sick. A situation like this is bound to happen in the future so we will see how they decide to tackle it in the future.

The way or system of work PLAVE like the behind the scenes of the film Avatar released in 2009, their way of working is similar to that, although not 100% (because PLAVE members do not use dots on their faces lol😂😂) They use motion capture clothing (again, not as complete as in the movie Avatar, but able to track member movements), also equipped with a camera in front of their faces to track member expressions. That's why, I personally still very much tolerate if they are called 'avatar idols' because their work system is like the production of the Avatar film. Maybe a better reference if you see the way the vituber works, PLAVE can also be said as Vituber because of their virtual system. A small little ramble about PLAVE: Instead of saying animated or characters they prefer being called Virtual Idols; just like virtual youtubers they really are just people using avatars to do what every other person in their profession does which although has restrictions still gives them many different opportunities that most idols can't do i.e. hide their identity, do INSANE stages with special effects, and just give them more freedom. Also your wording in 27:10 makes sense but there are better ways to say it HAHA its just easier to separate it by saying 2D and 3D/mocap and you can call their "characters" as avatars because i saw you struggling a bit with your words hehe Unlike MAVE (the group they get compared to the most) they do everything themselves, song composing, choreographing, and live singing. They use motion capture to choreograph, mocap is gear that other virtual creators also use for their 3D streams except theirs is very very advanced. The reason the do everything themselves is because they actually tried to hire people but their work was rejected which is honestly really good for us because they are absolutely talented. Their company, VLAST, is truly just a tech company so they trust the members to actually just do all of the idol things and that leaves their stages to be exceptional. regarding 19:17 there are 2 different people rapping, the first one was hamin, their main dancer and rapper, and the second was Eunho, their main rapper and one of the main producers that also serves killer vocals. There are lines for PLAVE for what their specific specialty is. Dance line being Bamby and Hamin as the choreographers, and Prod line being Eunho, Yejun, and Noah who do most of the song's producing. There's no true vocal line since they are all vocalists but Noah is regarded by many as their Main Vocal. (bamby is doing the high note at 21:04 btw) if you fw them I suggest watching most of their covers, a few stream clips, and ofc listening to their b-sides. I hope you enjoy your stay here if you ever do become a plli and just know that most pllis have been in the kpop stan scene for very long so most of them are very nice meaning we don't engage in fan wars. I just like self produced groups because they know what songs fits their vocal tones. Currently G-idle, SKZ and Plave are the only idols I know who really do it well. Other idols, force themselves singing song that doesn't fit their vocal range and tone because company pick the song for themselves only for them to have trouble singing it live while dancing.
