Man, you and Gordy Knutson have produced the most valuable and interesting drum vids here by FAR. Your videos are a real rarity here; complex concepts presented directly with no hammy RU-vid bullshit. (I'm looking at you, 80/20 drummer).
This is the drum sound that I miss. I have no idea why Louie changed them and went with a paperthin sound with the heads, miking and tuning he's currently using. He's an excellent drummer and I appreciate his talent.
Great lesson but at 1:15 , the sheet music threw me off a little. Shouldn't the sheet music show a tom on the second group of the first sextuplet? The notes are on the second space which is the snare and the snare isn't being played. No big deal but it is incorrect.
You're right. The floor tom is on the same line as the snare drum, which is a bit confusing. I'm sure you have it figured out by now because of the video, though ;)
