Hey naysy if you unplug your quest 2 will your mods be gone?

@@7bbar- Why should they be gone? The modded version of Beat Saber is installed on the quest and will stay until you uninstall it. You need the cable only for a short time to install BMBF as shown in the video.

I just wanted to thank you so much for making this video. I haven't been able to play custom songs for over 3 years now, (I switched from the Oculus Rift to the Quest 2). I've tried countless tutorials and none of them have worked, so, I gave up. I just kept playing the default songs, buying song packs, etc. Today I tried setting up custom songs again and with the help of this video, I was able to do it. The first song I played was Jacknife, my favorite song to play 3 years ago. I was only able to beat it on Expert back then but when I played it today I was able to beat it on Expert + after what was essentially three years. This gave me so much joy and I just wanted to thank you so so much for making this tutorial. You are the best!!!

My wonderful wife and I recently bought an Oculus, but the song selection in the official DLC for Beat Saber has disappointed us :( And since my wife likes to jump around sometimes while I'm occupying the TV, the modified mobile version and custom songs for it are perfect :) Thanks again! I dragged my quest 1 out of the closet (I haven't touched it for years) and I had to update it. Everything changed to drastically and couldn't figure out how to get BMBF back on because I had deleted it before it put it down for hibernation. The guide I was using before was so out dated but you walked me through everything so easily. Thank you so much!

Thank you for this video. I had tried adding custom songs once before but couldn't get it working from the guide I had followed previously. I did run into one issue that wasn't covered here which was that BMBF may not work if you have multiple profiles on your quest. I had to delete other profiles off my quest before BMBF would show up under unknown sources. Once I got past that hurdle I was able to keep following along and get it working though!

The simplest thing ever! Thank you! Can't wait to start branching out of the stock songs! As a previous phone modder (before Samsung Knox started buckling down) I knew to update the official app, then doing an apk backup (as well as suggested data backup) because things CAN go wrong and it is ALWAYS better to be safe and wait the 45 measly seconds for something to backup than be sorry in the end, but this tut worked FLAWLESSLY! I used a Nintendo Switch USB-A to USB-C cable, which, funny enough, I grabbed before I even heard you mention that one! 🤣 I know there's been some back-and-forth with random multiplayer... Personally, I like it because it helps me play songs I wouldn't usually pick, learn different techniques, and have fun waiving and dancing with people in the lobby. It's fun to clap for others when they win awards, etc. I'm sad to see it not able to be used, granted I can still play directly with friends (with mentioned mods). It's only a matter of time, though, as with any other modding, but then it won't be fun anymore because people will start cheating. 😥 Now with "metaverse" slowly becoming a household term, I have a feeling the Oculus...*ahem*... 🤮Meta🤮 Quest 2 will grow into something with more options\feeedom.

Hello, I 've followed all steps until 11:18 where when I click "Solo" game crashes immediately. I tried restarting quest and apps, and deinstalling and reinstalling the mods but the error still prevails. I believe the reason for this error is mismatch between mod and current beat saber versions. Any tips will be greatly appreciated. EDIT: I figured it out, all you have to do is downgrade to a earlier beat saber version, this youtuber also has video on that topic.

@@karol8032 I had to down grade first so I could download the core mods at all and once I downgraded then went back through the whole thing it let me sync at the last step and worked no issue. Hope that helps you

Edit: Everything is fixed, had to downgrade the version and restart and get rid of the other profile on the oculus. I'm having and issue when it gets to the installing. I hit install, it does its thing until it gets to a little over 3/4 of the way there, then it stops and gives me the wait or close option. I of course I hit wait. Then it goes back to the install screen, finishes. Then I either get an didn't install message then the warning that it's not a regulated game, or vice versa Edit: I redid all the steps and now it's downloaded, but now there are no core mods, so I can't play any custom songs. I wonder if my game is updated to high for bmbf. But isn't that what bmbf is for, to uninstall the current version and replace it with the one that works with it. If not please someone let me know

I have the most recent update for beat saber and have modded this game before using the 1.17 version. I tried it with the current version and everything went smoothly right until I launched the game and that special menu didn't pop up and neither did the song downloader. do you have any advice on how to fic this

@@LaceyLavenderr using the same Sidequest application, you download an apk file for an earlier version of beatsaber. Specifically for THIS tutorial, I used version 1.17. What I really recommend is lookup “how to downgrade beatsaber to 1.17” on RU-vid, because they’ll tell you how to do it better AND have a link in the description (most likely) to the file you need or will tell you the website to go to. Uninstall the BMBF file you downloaded and re-install it after you downgrade (if you still have the BMBF apk file saved then it’ll take like 10 seconds)

I got my Oculus Quest 2 about 3 weeks ago and beat saber was the first game I downloaded cause I saw all these RU-vidrs having a blast with it, and it was super fun to play. But I was really disappointed that the game didn't have a different variety of genres, and I couldn't figure out how all these RU-vidrs were playing songs that weren't in the game. Then I heard about how you can only download custom songs by downloading mods and going through all these rigorous steps, and I saw a few older videos on how to do it. Then I came across your video here. I have to say I was very intimidated by all the steps and things that had to be downloaded and especially since I know nothing about mods, but this video made it a whole lot easier. All the other people's videos I saw were too fast and didn't even go through all the steps or even show some of them. And I love how you mentioned different troubleshooting tips that people can do if they happen to run into any problems and loved how you explained things at a decent pace and in a way that beginners like me could understand. I have to say though I was super scared about losing my FB account or something like that, especially since we had to do the whole "developer" step lol. But once I did it and found everything worked, and when I got to play my first custom song I felt amazing. First download was "I don't Wanna Be Free" from A Heist With Markiplier 😁. Thank you so much for making this video, I certainly couldn't have done it without you, and now I know I'll be having a blast playing all the songs I love!

Why has NO ONE! mentioned that you MUST buy the Quest 2 version on the Quest, in THAT store, NOT IN THE OCCULUS STORE! There is no cross-buy, which while not great would at least be OK if the Oculus store bothered to mention that you will also have to buy the app to play it non-linked on your Q2. This is hugely frustrating and seems like something EVERYONE should have mentioned for newbies like myself when making these videos.
