In this episode we pack up the Jayco Swan camper trailer and head 3.5 hours North to the beautiful Hat Head Holiday Park. This secluded sea side village is located between South West Rocks and Crescent Head on the picturesque Macleay Valley coast.
We only had 3 days but boy did we pack a lot into that time. While the weather was not fantastic we enjoyed some great beach swimming, kayaking in the creek and exploring the headland.
This time we stayed at an unpowered camping site which backs onto the creek and wow what a location! Huge camping sites with a large grassed bank area to relax with a few beverages and watch the kids play, ride bikes and have a go at fishing.

Yes, its a beautiful place. So many nice coastal spots in the area, its hard to pick one favourite.

It's a beautiful spot, in fact there are many up the coast. We are supposed to be back for a full week in September however it looks very unlikely now unfortunately due to lockdowns etc.

Getting our jayco hawk set up to head off up that way as soon as we get out of lock down. Nice part of nsw around that area. Surprisingly not many families there being school holiday period. Did you fit the fiamma awning to your van yourself. ? Just ordered one today to fit myself. Are the leg brackets on the van only screwed into the fibre glass? Watched some of your other videos, doing the bed fly conversion as soon as parts from superpeg turn up. Great video,.

Hi Lloyd, we were due to be up there again this September school holidays but had to cancel due to lock down. We were at the end of the park which is a lot more spacious. There are a lot more families etc. more towards the beach side. Such a beautiful place. The Fiamma we did not fit as it was already on the van but its incredibly easy to do. Michael from A Peachy Adventure has a full DIY on his recent install. The wall brackets I am pretty sure just fixed to the fibreglass. I have a few videos about to come out, one the fridge fan mod and the other a full setup and pack down including some tips and tricks. The next big project will be installing a 12v pump then hopefully we can finally get out and about again!! Glad you are enjoying the videos!

@@WorkLivePlay We didn't know but our site is in an area colloquially known as "windy hill" by those in the know - and for good reason! Despite that we had a great time thank you and we are booked in again next (this) year. Have a great time come September.
