Play detailed how he got into rapping and how there was originally a third member of Kid ’N Play, and he also spoke about coming up with Salt-N-Pepa and Martin Lawrence, and Salt-N-Pepa blowing up before Kid ’N Play. He then detailed the rise of the group, including the “House Party” movies, and he also addressed his marriage to Shari Headley. I've heard he was actually a deadbeat dad to his son (wasn't involved in his life), with Shari Headley (Lisa from Coming to America). And didn't pay child support. So, let's not over praise these people, they're regular people who just happen to be famous. Hopefully he's changed.

And the child support case is available easily by searching online. But, you're right... I was lucky to get out to forge a decent, quiet life; but so many good Brothers lost their lives to the streets being caught up in the game of survival. I'm 52, grew up in the advent of rap. Hip Hop was much more cultural, it was the graffiti art, clothing shell toe Adidas sneakers, gaberdine pants, break dancing, MC's, DJ'ing, 'turntabalism' cutting and scratching, mixing, local rappers rocking the mic. We had parties every weekend at clubs or house parties etc.. Nowadays, the kids today are way too violent to have events as big rap concerts or house parties. The DJ turntabalism went commercial. So you don' t hear of any kids aspiring to be DJ's as compared to rappers. And Play is right, your whole level was measured by how well you did with the ladies.
