Whenever people say cEDH players are so much smarter than casual players I hope a loop of Cameron laughing during that last play just plays in the back of my mind. You guys are great. Favorite cedh channel by far.
@17:15 The Trait Doctoring that targets the Sakashima will only trigger off the original Orvar and not Sakashima himself....so only one trigger to copy the Sakashima, not two. Good game nonetheless
Hey, Just incase i am missing something but at 10:55 its a chromatic sphere getting sacrificed, not a star which means there is no priority to cast hullbreaches as it is considered a mana ability! Just a minor thing and even with it its a great video and game/s thanks!
@@velocevisrin5060 No, it does not. The draw trigger resolves as part of activating the mana ability. Chromatic *star* goes on the stack, because it's a trigger.
Love the channel and the games, and I love to finally see an Orvar deck not just sit there. However, I do gotta point out (as an Orvar player myself) that targeting an Orvar clone only makes one clone the first time because his text says "one or more other permanents", meaning the clone doesn't trigger on itself.
Yes you are right! At that point everything seemed to be doubling up, and Baal got carried away somehow. It would only get 1 extra Orvar. However, hopefully, it didn't change the outcome of the game! :)
@@SplitSecond yeah I'm pretty sure it didn't actually end up making a difference, and I totally get getting carried away. I personally love storming off with Orvar and it's definitely very easy to get sucked into all the different ways of trying to go infinite and win.
just a small note, Orvar triggers on other permanents you control. So copying a Sakashima would only gain Baal one more when he trait doctored. Love your guys' content.
Lovely content. Have a optimized-casual Orvar and Kenrith deck. I was so sad to see WoV fall into the yard, happy to see it come back with mSanctuary, and even sadder to see it get exiled.
Haven’t watched the whole game yet, but I love that Dylan and Cam are both like I was just listening to into the north about feeding the fish, and I’m over here like ME TOO!
Probably doesnt get seen but unless i missed something Cam couldve gone semi infinite with Dockside/Yawgmoth and his Kenrith. Reanimation only costs 3 and he gets 4-5 mana. Easier way to clear the Orvar threat than FoW and FoN :)
At this point I'm not sure if I'm coming here more for the gameplay, the commentary/editing, or the increasingly horrifying "BEGIN" at the start of each game
So, when you go for the witherbloom combo, why not make another copy and target someone else at the end just to hit their hand? Edit: also cam was a jerk this game too baal worked so hard and you messed that turn up so royally afterwards.
At Cam and all other mtg players in the world: The the one and only (and probably oldest) wisdom in the game - reading the card explains the card. What an awesome game!
I think when you target a Sakashima copying Orvar, you only get one additional copy, because Orvar specifically says "if it targets one or more OTHER permanents you control...".
great episode, Cameron with the last minute bloopers haha. It shows how cedh isn't just try harding, you can laugh at your own mistakes and it just wants to use the most powerful available cards.
lets go e wit for land. next you need to play ephemerate on the e wit and you never struggle with your land drop again. also what is better birgi or her horn better. having insane free card draw in the command zone is amazing but having cost reduction that works with 0 cmc cards is also really good. the question is if having a lot of card draw with a bit of ramp or a lot of ramp with a bit of card draw better. red is the wheel color so it has some of the most cost effective card draw but also rituals.
