We stayed in Playa del Carmen past March 2023, and we loved eating on local restaurants. I would like to let you know 3 places we loved the most to eat: For lunch, the Grilled Chicken at "Asadero el pollo" (calle 2 and 20th ave) and the Tacos at "Tacos el Compa", outside the Soriana MEGA (calle 14 & 30th Ave); here ask for the "Quesibirria". At night, you must try the "Choripan" (located in 10th Ave and Calle 8); it was great! All those places are near the area, and you can arrive just walking a few blocks. Congrats Guys! Regards from Monterrey, México!
*Hola Ricardo* 🙌 This is so cool! Did you have a good time in PDC? We also love Asadero El Pollo. In fact, we featured them in our first PDC video. If you haven't watched it, check it out here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-_HnqaLiwwwY.html We tried tacos at Mega, but I don't think we've tried Tacos el Compa yet. Regarding Choripan, we haven't tried the one you mentioned, but there's another food truck that sets up across Mega at 7pm, right outside the Las Quekas branch we showcased in this video. We wanted to feature them, but when we went, they set up later and we had a tight schedule. Thank you so much, amigo, for watching and commenting. We will check out the Quesabirria place. We really appreciate your recommendation. 🙏🤩 Saludos hasta MTY! 🫶🥰
@@ForTheRoadTravels I've been following your food lists and love all your recommendations - your videos have influenced my trip so much. Sending both of you lots of love 8 )
This is so helpful…only 2.5 months to go and we will be there. I have saved all your videos and we will be stealing (borrowing)your itinerary. So excited you uploaded another video.❤️
Awww, thank you so much *Margaret* 🙏 You must be so excited and marking down the days in the calendar 🤩. Thank you for your support by watching and commenting on our videos this really helps us so much to reach more eyes on RU-vid 🙌. Sending you a big hug amiga 🇲🇽 🤗
Awesome, you will love it here amiga. OMG, the food is *incredible* there, we're dying to get back. Aw, thank you so much, we always thought that our food vlogs are our weakest type of content 🤭 but we love you are enjoying them 🤩🙏. Saludos amiga
Thank you so much *amiga*, we really appreciate it, we always want to share our authentic selves on our videos, because we want to share these experiences and help everyone travelling or moving to PDC &/or Mexico 🌴 🇲🇽 Thanks for your lovely comment and support to our channel 🙏 🥰 🙌
I mean no mention of the fact that they wrote LOVE and put a heart on the paneer. That was such a cute touch ❤ I’m drooling for Indian food now. I prefer our South African samoosas vs these bigger ball samosas.
*Definitely* they put that extra touch that makes people be returning guests! The food was delicious and we want to come back for another meal there 🫢. I asked Simone and she told me the samosas in SA are way smaller 🤤😋
*Hola Chris* 🙌 Awesome, we're so happy you found those places interesting, make sure you watch the first PDC food tour for more _delicious_ ideas 🫢 🌮 🤤 Watch it here 👉 ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-_HnqaLiwwwY.html
Wonderful food options. Looking forward to adding a few new places with our next trip. I think I'll have to try the cake. Thank you so much for providing the locations. It is so very helpful.
*Hola Julie* 🫶 Awww, thank you we are glad you like the new options. That cake is so delicious, we actually bought another slice the day we were finishing this video 🫢. Thank you we thought was going to be helpful, thank you for watching and commenting 🙏🤗🥰
if there is any place i would add on this list that would be “Lali Pasteles”. the Lavander coffee and conyitos is die for. even the vegan chocolate tart is delicious. i can’t wait to come back!!!!
Hola amigo, we have never heard about this but we will definitely check it out, we just checked her page and the cakes *look* delicious. Thank you for sharing we truly appreciate it 🤩 🤗
I just found your channel and love to see Playa, one of my fave places. The last thing I did before heading back to Canada for the summer was hit the taco stands beside the Mega Soriana, had to get my birria fix to last me until I return 😋
*Thank you so much* for watching our video amig@ 🙏 Awesome, we have not tried the Birria there, but it's been recommended by another subscriber, so we will try it soon. Do they sell only tacos or offer the stew too? We have a Birria stand in our neighborhood and it's so tasty 🫢😍
Thank you so much! I'm happy I found your channel. So much valuable information here. Also you're both adorable people. Looking forward to my adventures there next year.
*Hola Wendy* 🙌 We're so happy to read your comment, thank you so much, we are so glad you found our content informative, and also for your kind words about us ☺️ 🫢. Awesome, we will be sharing more content on the Riviera Maya and all of Mexico 🤩🫶

We loved the La Cochi Loca stores, cochinita pibil was excellent in any form, if anyone like us can’t easily get out to the highway they are an excellent option in the touristy area.
We heard about it, but still, we wanted to show a *"very"* local establishment I used to go to when I (Geo) was younger, but definitely, we will give it a try to la Cochi Loka. Thank you for the recommendation amigo 🙏🤩
@@ForTheRoadTravels you’re welcome :) also for us, Celine was meh. Long waits, abysmal service, we got served yesterday’s pain au chocolat for breakfast. When we complained, they brought a fresh one though. Choux Choux was good at food, service made us feel unwelcome. We loved La Cueva del Chango for breakfast though! Great ambience!
@@tonajki We loved Chez Celine for their pastries, and we have always had good experiences with them in terms of pastries. However, the service has drastically declined, and it seems like the management doesn't care about it. We had a similar experience once with Coux Choux, but we decided to give it another chance, and that day we had a very good server. I (Geo) tried La Cueva del Chango many years ago, but it has been a while since then. We will definitely add it to our list and check it out soon. Thank you, amigo, for your comment. We really appreciate it. This way, we can double-check next time and update our recommendations in our lists. Saludos!
It was fun seeing you visit some of our faves. We frequented that same Last Quekas after our Mega visits. So cool that you guys also included Indianos and we 100% agree it is FANTASTIC!! One Cocina Economica we loved to visit was Cocina Economica La Veracruzana on 30th near 2nd. Big hugs to you both! ❤
*Really?* That's awesome, did you happen to try another branch? We went at almost closing times and weren't the best sopes &/or quesadillas we have tried but that could be the reason. Indianos is so tasty we loved it. We will have to try that place next time, thank you amigos for the recommendation 🙌🙏
Good morning Guys, I am currently with my son having breakfast as per your recommendation at chez Celine we just wanted to know what the taxi app is called that you have recommended. Thanks guys
Hola Laurence, thank you for *watching* and commenting. That's amazing how was Chez Celine, did you enjoy it? The Taxi app is called Radio Taxi PDC ;) Saludos, and we hope you guys are enjoying your vacations 🫶🙏🤩
@@ForTheRoadTravels It’s just out on the table. I actually went to don sirloin more than el fogon bc i enjoyed that piña salsa so much👌 A different place you should try is tropical tacos. I like their spin on a traditional taco with sprouts, diff fillings + mango salsa. Still affordable too.
This is interesting, we did not know about this place but we're definitely trying it next time. Gracias amigo *Anthony*, for the recommendation, as well as for watching and commenting on our video 🤩🫶. Saludos
Cool to see, I live in Playa, little difficult understanding the South African accent when you talk fast, which you mostly do, lol, please slow it down, otherwise it gets frustrating, for North American people !! Gracias
Glad you're tuning in from Playa 🌴 I’ll try to slow it down for you, but asking someone to change their accent because it’s 'frustrating' for you? A little rude and entitled, no? If anything, think of it as a fun way to practice your listening skills 👍
@@ForTheRoadTravels I never asked for anyone to Change Their Accent !!! So the Rude Comment is Rude !! I said when you talk as fast as you do, it’s hard to understand with your accent !! So the Ask was to slow it down, if you want Canadians and Americans to keep watching !! It’s your choice, I could have said nothing and just moved on …any ways I don’t need a controversy , it was said for your awareness, not to be a problem for me and called Rude !! That is a Wrong Move !!
