Or let you spawn on carrier but in that case, watch players letting dumb carrier players live on purpose to farm plane kills as they sail their carriers close enough to get kill with their canons.
I could imagine this being a legit mechanic. You get RP and SL for people successfully landing and taking off from your carrier, which would incentivize the player to remain close to the battlefield so people want to use it.
On 0:12 is USS Saratoga CV-3 (Late War Model) and 0:50 isn't USS Enterprise but it's USS Lexington CV-2 (Early War Model) They both also same class but using diffrence gun. The Lexington still using early war model gun and Saratoga already got the late war model gun.
@ORZpasserAtw Enterprise didn't have any large caliber gun on the deck, and with the new carrier model USS Lexington don't have the " LEX" on the deck
This is just flat out wrong, none of these ships are conversions, all of them were purpose-built as aircraft carriers. Edit: Except the Lexington/Saratoga
@@Green__Ghost Like Lexington, which is Saratoga in this Video?^^ Not to mention that the "Enterprise!" is actually another Lexington, just in pre war configuration :D
@@NashmanNash I ended up on the wrong wiki page(too many Lexingtons), Lady Lex was indeed a conversion like her sister Saratoga. Original comment is still woefully wrong though.
The only converted Battleships were Kaga, Shinano and HMS Eagle(1918) Akagi, Lexington, Saratoga, Furious, Glorious and Courageous are all converted from Battlecruisers. And by the way.....Kaga(1938) Please. I want to see her and play her in War Thunder. If she's a 100 dollar Premium, I'm gonna buy her anyways.
@@hellothere9167 they could let the aircraft carrier player change into a plane that's on board and control that, like the drones in tank combat limit it to like 4 planes with somewhat balanced bomb loads and it could be a really fun and unique playstyle, the mothership
It's been a while, but last I checked that's not the main issue: it's that you can't launch formations of planes at once. Even an AI formation would be pretty scary with dive bombers or torpedo bombers. Individual planes get shot down too easily That said, I think a lot of people enjoy naval specifically to escape the ground pounding of ground rb. It's been a while though, I moved on to Enlisted because I prefer Axis vs Allies setups. Probably been about 6 months or so since I touched WT.
@@crad5476 Looks like you were trying to look smart, but that didn't work. For your information, most of the vowel sounds in Japanese (such as "o" and "u", for example) are elongated by adding the "u" letter, which, by reducing its own sound to almost completely not pronunciating, makes the previous vowel longer. Therefore, the letter ō and the diphthong (not really a correct terminology, though) are identical in terms of the resulting sound, and thus, your correction does not make sense because of no difference between your variant of writing a word and mine. Moreover, the "ou" is used a lot more commonly, for example, in textbooks and something like news, because neither they have a special ō letter on their keyboard, nor will a normal person understand what that long ō stands for. And don't evenget me started talking about cases, where the "o" can be elongated by adding not the "u", but an additional "o" sound, where it can be read either as a long "o" or like two separate "o"s. So, no offence, but your correction wasn't necessary. I can't say that it was wrong, though, because both ways of writing this word are correct, but you've got the point. If we want to be clear, in hiragana there will obviously be the "ou" variant -- しょうかく, where the "ょう" make this "ou" sound.
@@dovacin23 tl;dr. The first sentence was enough to prove that you are just another ignorant asshole wandering the internet. Please, research on how it is actually written. An easy example would be to just google it's name, and then you will see that your spelling is absolutely not correct. Not only is it spelled "Shōkaku" on wikipedia and literally any other website, but it is also spelled like that in military documents from the 60's. Oh, and apparently it is ok for you to correct people, but when you get corrected its not ok? That INSTANT aggressiveness also proves that you really, REALLY dont like being in the wrong, and therefore, corrected. So, bro, please do your research because I did that too before posting that comment...unless you want to stand there like a full-out moron, then it's okay, I guess ;) Either way I know where this is going, so there is no reason to give someone like you any more attention by reading nor replying to you, so I guess blocking you would be the only option. At least you know how it is spelled properly now. Wish you many successful learning sessions in the future! Edit: I just found out you live in russia, so that MAY explain things too.
Look like we made something great about carriers mission !. I really hope they will make something interesting about carriers. My "dream" is they make carriers playable into enduring confrontation as Flagships and be a moving spawn for ships and planes. Beeing a commander for strategic could be great. I dont care if i'm not able to spawn AI squads on my deck. I prefer spawn players I think, if you want to have carriers in game, upvote missions like thoses
@@auraytb3602 unrealistic? plane sunked the yamato, the bismark, the scharnost. plane where the most crutial part of the pacific theater. for the OP part, that what the AA is for!
@@Clemdauphin as I know 1 p47 couldn t sink 2 boats in an armada. Also they were on beaches bombed by heavy bombers. And when it was not the case. It was needed at least 10 planes, if they gone alone they would be deaf
Depending on the quality of the models, Gaijin may add these. A lot of user created content gets added by them depending on the quality of the job done.
yeah those ship models are already in use for years now like on the Normandy map tanks can actually shoot at the carriers there and the damage model would appear along with the x-ray lol
If they were never included most people wouldn't care, to be perfectly honest. It's primarily the Japanese and Americans that matter for Carriers, you silly, Limey twat.
I don't understand. Are there any aircraft? Or is this just gonna be a useless half of a cool feature like when they added depth charges without any submarines?
I shouldn't get mad about this but I just need to say it he called the saratoga lexington and lexington the enterprise Saratoga and Lexington are in the same class and the enterprise is not even in that class. So it kind of triggers me the whole fact that he mistakened uss lexington cv2 for uss enterprise cv6
I think you got the Enterprise data wrong, those numbers are for CVN-65, launched in 1960, while you are looking for CV-6, a Yorktown class. They were actually smaller than the Lexington class
Pre-Refit Lexington (the ship you called Enterprise) would be broken. Having aircraft launch and recovery capabilities, above average radar systems, above average AA defenses, AND 8" guns. Seems like a better aviation cruiser to me than Tone
If Gaijin Added the carrier: Hmm i don't think the carriers do.... Ahh💡 What if the Aircraft carriers are players and the players are planes that wanted to be landed instead... Oh also the AAA, secondary Batteries.... Am smart dev 🤓🤓
The naval game is crippled because War Thunder wants to treat the Russian surface fleet like a prime power. There's a reason hey haven't pushed out more battleships and have focused on cruisers. The cruiser focus keeps the Russian stuff relevant. Now guess who's always had a tiny carrier arm?
The 5 inch gun version is the Saratoga I belive and the 8 inch one is in the game just that the person who posted the video called it the Enterprise for some reason.
guys when i play the user mission it jsut says "mission failed" as soon as it loads in, i put the content folder and user mission in the War thunder folder, did i do it right?
Munitions I think you screwed up the naming for that ship at 0:59 See that's the USS Lexington (CV-2), not the Enterprise. You can tell from the dual 8-inch 50-calibre guns on the deck So what's the ship at 0:22? That my friend is also the Lexington! Difference was the 0:22 one was the modernised 1940's one and the 0:59 one was the older 1920's one
One big ass naval update . U boats /submarines. Carriers . And special battle ships where id 1 one player has enough sp they can spawn in tripitz,Bismarck, yamato, and battleship texas.
This gives me an idea where you have to defend your aircraft carrier with your lad (you as the aircraft carrier must 1. Repair the plane that only you can do 2. Repair the ship that is beside you and 3. Take the objective the other people goal KILL)
Ok, cool, but also I have no idea how they'd implement them. It would be neat if having an aircraft carrier in both teams could nab people in queue for air and put them in the naval match, but admittedly that'd be broken and weird
