I love this song, too! Check out my analysis and a performance by the wonderful Nancy Anderson. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-laarwBR7xkc.html
OMG Do Me! Best Version EVER! holy cow, what a total FOX as they used to say in my day...hot, hot, hot (wearing a wedding ring) crap, lucky women grrrr
Yes, he sings it nicely, nice voice and a kind of simple sincerity that belies his good looks--though he's looking a bit haggard here. I love the intro & he does it credit! Both La Judy and Nat Cole do great versions of this song. Note the lyrics never recycle themselves except for "...what'll I do"! Very effective and very brilliant. Berlin was a total natural.
Sorry MY BAD...gay, still, who cares, lucky husband! He's still gorgeous, I remember him from United Flight 93 - as hard as that movie was to watch, I did notice him and those eyes. I always wanted to see him again, weird lol. Still best version of this tune, people usually sing it corny old fashioned style, he makes it modern.
Yes, he sings it nicely, nice voice and a kind of simple sincerity that belies his good looks--though he's looking a bit haggard here. But to call other versions "corny" is a bit ignorant--or the judgment of a very young girl--considering the great singers who've sung this in the past. I'm reminded of something that happened in a recent Inde movie, "Tangerine," where a naive an at least ostensibly well-intentioned young girl says, simply, about a friend's (all transgender prostitutes in this funny and poignant film) song sung in her fiasco of a nightclub act that it's "kind old"! Very funny and stupid--not you, but in the movie.
