WLR really deserves more credit. It delivered the vampire aesthetic pretty well without having a corny approach to it. Songs like No Sl33p and On That Time can really paint a vivid picture of what is going on in Carti’s brain. The melodies were really synth-like and had a punk feel to it. The drums were insanely hard without being rugged and distorted. He gave a few songs that had that Die Lit feel and still fit the WLR aesthetic. And with red being the color of anger, this album helps exert a lot of anger and emotion. Every song gives a different prospective of intense emotion. Whether he’s rappin bout being a rockstar or being a thug or just being the best at what he is. His vocals inflections really helped deliver that punk sound. Not to mention, this album inspired a lot of artwork. I’ve seen so many amazing paintings inspired by this album and it just shows that this album will continue to grow in an artistic standpoint. Classic album🧛🏾
