I love Bruno, but what was that tackle?... I no longer believe that our demise is down to the players downing tools, well not completely. The tactics, the general mood of the players, the ambition of the players is 90% down to the manager. Mourinho and Van Gaal were too arrogant and Ole was too soft and tactically naive. Erik tenHag is too stubborn, trying to get the team to play football they’re not capable of playing. Until a manager plays to the strengths of this squad or until he brings in players capable of playing his preferred style, we will struggle badly.

Maybe it's better to choose a temp. manager until the end of the season, not Ruud, someone with no previous connection to the club who can then go in and say to the players "right lads, I'm here to sort you lot out and I'm only here short-term so I've nothing to lose- no point downing tools because you'll only be exposing yourself"... Maybe someone like Neil Warnock or Ally McCoist who doesn't take any ** from players and are renowned for playing players at their own game. I don't think the board are getting the truth from EtH, I think he deludes & gaslights them just as much as fans.

Personally, I'd just ride out the season with the same coach without caring about results. In that chaos leaders will rise. At the end boot the manager if the season ends in a disaster and remove all the players who didn't help in performance and bring in a new manager.

Ten Haag went into United too militant imo. That's fine whilst your winning. However with bad eggs you have to use them whilst you need them then when it's least expected to you get them out your club. Fergie did that many times. He used players but never forgot when they crossed him...Ince, Beckham, Stam. You don't make enemies of them because they have influence over other group members/team mates that you don't have yet. Enough momentum builds and you can struggle to win back that dressing room. His whole attitude going in was wrong imo. Fergie was a hard man but he knew when to bend a little bit with C.Ronaldo, Cantona etc. Ten Haag is proving he's not a man manager.

Chelsea have been in the sacking the manager cycle for ages. I think by buying a silly amount of players they've ensured that any manager can come in and have a squad they can use. If we get rid of EtH, we risk the cycle of having to get rid of players that the new manager doesn't like and replacing them with expensive signings. If EtH goes, we need someone who is known for man management and developing a style of play without needing to recruit.
