In this video I play my first round on GS Pro with the Uneekor Eye Mini! And wow what a course to do it.. STREAMSONG BLUE!! #benq #golf #simulatorgolf #gspro #uneekor
Yeah I have to say I'm in love hahaha really happy with it so far.. I'm sure they are going to refine the software a bit. I think the ball speeds might be reading slightly low at the moment or the club speeds a bit high. I can't wait to compare it against my MLM2PRO and R10.
Keep the video's coming with the Mini... I think I'm sold on it once my build is finished, unless something new comes out thats superior within the next yr or so.
Good luck with the build mate. And yes I can highly recommend the Uneekor Eye Mini. I'm sure with software updates they'll keep improving things and it'll get better and better. It's only just been released!
Eye Mini looks awesome, and definitely playing that course ASAP cause it looks amazing! Also, I went ahead and got a cheap ipad so I can use my phone as a hotspot for the ipad and MLM 2 pro, and had zero disconnects. Completely flawless. So it's clear that the MLM issues are with connecting to routers. Which is kind of nice cause at least I know I can use it this way, but would love for them to fix that issue still.
Honestly streamsong blue and red are AMAZING!! check them both out. Thanks for getting back to me!! So weird both of us it works flawlessly with the hotspot... like I said when I use it I have never had a disconnect. I might feed that back to Justin to see if it helps them with their troubleshooting.
I think you definitely should. They might already know, but it could help them to know that this thing just really hates wifi routers apparently lol@@JLagGOLF
Thanks Brett! I'll try get more rounds in for sure. They take a while for me to edit and the views aren't generally big numbers. However I do enjoy doing them! Any suggestions on what would make them better / more engaging? Honest feedback is appreciated 👍
I just got my mini to use with gspro coming from a mevo plus. Does the mini always have to be hard wired to your computer or router with an Ethernet cord? Or can you connect it via wifi like the mevo?
Hey mate you can connect to the unit with wifi however it then takes your computers wifi and so your PC won't be connected to the internet. You can buy a second wifi receiver for your PC I believe but I didnt do this.. I currently have mine set up where it's plugged into a wifi extender that I put in my garage just so then I have an ethernet port. Cheers
Thank you! Yes I figured it out! It was operator error 🤦 So I needed to open the actual view software and run it that way instead of just using the 3rd party connector. Cheers
Hi Joe. Great to see the Eye mini up and running. I just purchased one and I am still learning the nuances of set up. Can you tell me, is it possible to connect to Gspro wirelessly? I’ve tried but have not been able to figure it out. I have an appointment with a Uneekor tech next week, but I am itching to get going as you can probably understand😊
I'd love to hear what they say! So I've connected my unit via ethernet to a wifi extender that I have in my garage. From there it is able to connect to my laptop through my network that's using the dynamic mode. I can also hardwire it ethernet to my laptop and get it working but you need to change it to the static mode on the unit itself. You can connect via wifi direct to your laptop or iPad but doing this with my laptop then takes the wifi connection so I can't connect my laptop to the internet. I bought another wifi dongle to put in my laptop but it was a cheap one and it wouldn't install the drivers so I just didn't bother and went with just plugging it in to my wifi extender. This way the Uneekor is connected to the internet so it can do updates and my laptop is connected to the internet...
@@JLagGOLF I thought about the Wi-Fi dongle also, but after reading a little bit, I think it may be doing a load sharing routine with the two Wi-Fi access points, which might mean only one signal at a time. I was thinking that would probably screw with the connection. I remember seeing a pop-up that the Uneekor launcher needs a consistent Internet connection to operate. Either way, after my support session on Tuesday, I will report back any thing significant that I learn. Thanks for the reply!
Hi Joe. I mentioned to you in an earlier post that I had a support session with Uneekor scheduled for today. The main topic was connecting my eye mini wirelessly, eliminating the need for an ethernet cord. Unfortunately, I can’t begin to tell you what settings exactly need to happen, but what I can report back is that my session session with the tech, Charles Brodeur, was exceptional. Not only did he allow me to ditch the ethernet cord, he went through my whole system and optimized it to work with not only the Uneekor software, but also Gspro. I learned quite a bit. I highly recommend setting an appointment online, allowing them to connect with your computer and spending 30 minutes on the phone and making sure all your settings are correct. he was very thorough.
I have played A LOT on Trackman simulator and have a Flightscope X2 at have with GS Pro at home. I am really close to your numbers Joe. On my X2 I am always between 163-173 and on Trackman I am more 158-168. So if Trackman is correct I think the Eye Mini is REALLY close to those numbers. I think I am sold to the Eye Mini 🙂
It's a fantastic unit that's for sure! I'm definitely interested to see how they go with updates. At the moment right now my gut feeling is club speed sometimes reads a little high and ball speed a little low. In saying that I really don't think it's too far off the mark and it's very consistent so that's the main thing! I'll definitely have to do more testing though.
@@JLagGOLF It would be really cool to see how it compares to Trackman. I think ball speed is spot on. I agree it reads clubhead speed a little high. Just like the GC Quad/GC3 is know for reading clubspeed 3-4 mph high 🙂
I think you have the answer to the higher clubhead speed in this video from Martin Borgmeier (cheatcode 3). It's actually quite logical when you think about where the dot is located on the club head!!! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-FOfjijHfZkU.html
@@kennethj4984Yeah I would love to test it against trackman! That might be possible... club head speeds I get why they read higher on GC quad being a camera based unit vs the radar unit in trackman.
Hey Mark so I had to open and use the view software concurrently with GS Pro and then all the data comes through. For some reason the 3rd party connector app doesn't give me club data.
Hard to say as I'm not using my normal putter but I did hit a few of them quite hard! I'll be comparing it to my ExPutt and also my GC2 head to head so we will see what it reports! Cheers
