No issues during my testing. Everything numbers-wise seemed inline with expectations. I do plan to test it up again some other devices in the future.

Well, the good news is, there is no wrong choice there. Both awesome devices.

You probably need to consider the long term costs - the subscriptions on the BLP seem like a lot more than the EYE MINI to play GSPro from what I have been able to discern. To get the data points with the BLP, I beleive you need a Silver or Gold subscription. The thing is these subscription features & prices can change fast so when you find a deal there is not always a lot of time to act. I don't believe the Silver subscription is available or is now call PRO. Their site says you need a GOLD subscription ($699/yr) to do simulation but there may be ways around that as long as the unit will present the data. The big advantage Gabe didn't highlight in his final remarks is the EYE MINI is supported by GSPRO and Uneekor direct - no third party connectors which greatly simplifies using both compared to working with a third party connector.

Hi Pete, Generally my 9 iron is 145 and 8 iron is 155. Those swings with the 8iron on the range, were the first swings of the day so I wasn’t fully warmed up.

@@LetsPlayThru copy…that’s what I suspected…very cool device AND the data displays and ability to manipulate it look impressive…Currently using the SL4 since I have the PGA Tour Superstore to do more detailed work…I just use the SL4 at the range outdoors to see how my numbers are…

Let's look at the subscription justification for a minute. I guess it comes down to how much you want and how bad you want it. How many rounds of golf can you play for $450 and how much time does it take. When you come home after work is the course lit so you can play. If the weather is bad or there is snow on the ground, can you sneak in 9 holes somewhere? Time is the biggest expense and obstacle to playing more golf and even a DIY home sim gives you so much time back. The main thing the subscription pays for here is to have a supported connection at both ends (unlike the BLP where you have to pay to unlock data). So you should be able to expect it to work when either side gets updates and if it stops working, you have someone to connect with. Using the Eye Mini with GSPro seems to be so much simpler to use because of this, especially for those who want to play golf and not waste time playing with the tech to make it work. It is like buying a PC, you need software to make the investment worthwhile. At least with the Eye Mini and the BLP the unit itself provides a screen and data. The Eye Mini & View software - which is also free on both the PC or iPAD, adds real value as Gabe showed. If you want more it is going to cost you more. It hurts a little, but I figure I would only have to use it about once a week to play sim and I would quickly have a return on my investment, and the first year the connector is included.

I hate it too..But if you think of this as a 5-7 year purchase before technology advances to greater things, it’s still much cheaper than unlocking it for 2k upfront.

There aren’t any launch monitors that are to my knowledge. Most everything in this price range and up requires a gaming PC with a high powered graphics card.
