This is a game that every time you play again you find out you can do something else better, or faster, or in a different way, or that is possible to fool your opponent by doing some weird moves that will put you in advantage someway. I'm almost 36 and loving to play this game even these days.

This is why I like button bashers as they were unpredictable and a lot more fun to play, sf2 experts always played the same style through out the game so you could easily predict thier next move, i like to loose the first round so I can see how my opponent plays.

And a little hint with E Honda? If that's spelled right.. His 1000 hand slaps. Work the same as Chun Li's 1000 leg kicks.. Before you land on the ground. Start quickly pressing that button can make it happen.. And it will.
@TheLizardskin
@TheLizardskin 5 лет назад
I'm from Brazil and here we used to call Honda like "Ed Honda", instead of Honda, and Chun Li was like Chu lin. But at that time most of my friends knew nothing about english and the thing was really weird (and funny) when it came to the characters sounds. For example, Spinning bird kick turned to "Mistarchin" here, and Shoryuken was like "Hóriúguer". Guile's Sonic Boom was like "Alecfú" and the most funny of it all was Sagat's Tiger Uppercut, which came in brazilian portuguese like "Tiger robocop" to our ears (LOL) because we all knew the translation of "Tigre" (Tiger) and Robocop was quite a famous character on TV at the time. A lot of mistakes, that were and are so memorable yet.

This game was like a plague, i’d walk into an arcade and instead of a nice selection of games, they would have 90% street fighter and a couple of others! In a way it killed of the traditional arcade.
@LyonsArcade
@LyonsArcade 4 года назад
That is true, I've heard a ton of people who feel that way, it made it even worse that a lot of the Street fighter games were kits that were put into older cabinets, so it literally killed the traditional games... that were in those older cabinets :)
@davidx4591
@davidx4591 3 года назад
@The Realist I’m not disputing that it was a good or even great game, but why was it, that the arcades were literally packed with the game, in my previous comment, I said that typically the arcades were 90% Street fighter, and that is no exaggeration. There must be a hidden agenda, probably money ie; the makers of Street fighter paid to pack the arcades out like that. It’s just not practical.
@jackcoleman1784
@jackcoleman1784 2 года назад
@@davidx4591 Honestly I know this may be hard for you to believe but Street Fighter 2 was seriously just that popular and revolutionary. I remember at six or seven years old in the summertime literally waking up, playing Street Fighter 2/SF II Turbo ALL day, going to sleep, waking up and doing it all over again. Arcades bought cabinets typically by how often they had to empty them out and SF II was a cash cow.

Me give me Chun-Li.. Her fire balls charge like Mileena siis? from Mortal Kombat 2. And can easily charged up as the first move of the match. Then the 1000 leg kick can be charged up before she hits the ground... And she can use the ends of that level true left or right all the way. And bounce off them like Vega.. But good game play never less..

@@memyopinionsche6610 Thing is that in SF2 Turbo/Hyper Fighting, Chun Li's kikoken is done as a half circle command from the direction Chun Li's back is all the way to the direction she's facing (i.e. left to right), but in SSF2, they simplified it to a charge from left to right command.

This is actually a useful strategy if you're Ryu or Ken and you're fighting Bison in campaign mode. What you do is find a way to goad Bison into the corner (i.e. block his head stomp and kick him when he bounces off the block with a strong kick) and then just spamming the strong hurricane kick as your ''killer loop'' strategy, and if one of the hurricane kicks don't connect at all, just bash the strong kick button to catch Bison and do your throw, and just resume spamming the hurricane kicks. And if you're lucky enough to do things right, you'll be able to get a perfect round 85% of the time.

@TheLizardskin
@TheLizardskin 5 лет назад
Actually in SF2CE the hurricane kick is where the biggest difference between them really is noticed. While Ken's hurricane kick can hit a lot of times in sequence, Ryu's hurricane kick will hit the oponent from the first time and take a harshful damage off of the opponent, and it will throw him away from Ryu. Also, the movements and strategies that each of them do when they're under CPU's control is how you can differ between them.
