Another tip is to ask your neigbours what they would recommend. Often you can get an "feel free between x and x since I am away during that time anyway or even a flat out "don't worry, just don't play too late".
This 100%. I think the most important thing is just being aware of your environment. I’ve lived in places where I can BLAST my amp and my neighbors didn’t care, and I’ve lived in places where I would get knocks on my door from just having the news on (at a completely reasonable volume) I think it’s great that so many of you have come here to look for solutions and offer ones I missed, half the battle is just caring about your neighbors and roommates. Thanks for this comment!
I've moved now but my last place was a crappy apartment with neighbours either side of me and thin walls. The dude on one side was like ultra sensitive to any noise (I found out later he was a classical music teacher lol!) even when I was using the 1w setting on my amp and with the volume less than 2, whereas the couple on the other side said they couldn't even hear my amp when I asked them lmao, so it's luck of the draw what your neighbours will be like
Great video! Apartment life goes like this: drunken assholes screaming at two in the morning- ok. Kids running around all hours of the day- ok. Dogs barking- ok. Dude playing a guitar- “imma call the cops”.
Haha! So true! The worst is when you are playing guitar at like 2pm on a Saturday. Oh that’s a problem? But your kid making a blood curtailing scream at 4am is fine. Okay. Fine. I also hate how non direct people are about it. I.e. banging on the walls, or calling in a noise complaint. Like just come knock on my door and ask me, kindly and calmly, to keep it down. I’m a guitar player not an axe murderer lol.
This exactly, had my old neighbour f*cking dog barking all day long and that was "normal", "Dogs barks you know", me playing an electronic battery for 5min...loud banging on the walls for me to stop 😅😅👌👌
I have a 2 \12 . Lately I've been using an overdrive pedal . My amp has a good sweet spot at 8 . With my overdrive it sounds really nice . The overdrive let's me control a good bedroom volume .
Interesting stuff. I live on a farm, but only a small apartment in that farmhouse, so downstairs lives a family, and I have five more neighbours up here. Since it's an old farmhouse, it has wooden floors and paperthin walls. I have a Vox Pathfinder 10, which is OK, but not great. I'm using it with some dirt pedals and an EQ pedal already. Your tips on the decibelmeter helped me think of something else. I'm going to play some stuff on my looperpedal, and let it play over the amp, and walk around the house here to check how loud I can play my amp!
Thank you! I will be getting back into making videos soon! My day job turned into a day/night/weekend job the past two months. Let me know any topics you’d like to see me talk about and I’ll see if I can throw it into the rotation!
This is also about right choice of the amp. Some amps have problem with achieving proper tone under some level of volume, and you need use power brake with these. Some amps are constructed with posibility of play a great tone in wide range of volumes, and don´t need any power soak for this. I bought Marshall JVM 215C combo, and I'm happy with this, it can produce great cleans, crunches and leads with proper sustain and tone even on low volume. But, this amp is slightly compressed, and due this compression are JVMs suitable for some players, and for some other not ...
Great video! I got the Tone King Ironman ii Mini attenuator for my 30w Headstrong amp. I'm mostly a home player, and it was for real the first time I've ever been able to dime it out in my Brooklyn apartment and actually hear what the tubes can do. Game changer.
#1. Use your tv listening volume level as your amp volume level for not using headphones , Bugera attenuator @ $100 will reduce your wattage power by half as you turn on your amp alone , example 20w amp will be lowered to 10watts with your amp settings set for 20watts setting at lower volume level. Then I use my tv volume to work with guitar volume and not 1 complaint since I purchased this Bugera attenuator 👍
Helps to know/find out your locations noise ordinance. I find Closed back faced away from windows and cab off the floor, like on a chair or stand work best. If the speakers face you at a slant the better. I normally run thru a 1x12 at home with a smaller wattage amp.
Great ideas. I use a DV meter on my phone and my amp, which sits on a stand, has a built-in reactive attenuator, which is partially why I bought it. Also, my amp is only 5w. The Tom Scholz Power Soak sounds as good as the Ironman II mini. I recently bought the D Kowalski Dark Gene 0.5w tube amp.
Very helpful. I have started a photography studio in a downtown building on the 22nd floor and I intend playing a 1 watt and 20 watt tube amps depending on what I can get away with, without any complaints.
I feel that, buddy. I'm researching the topic now. I have a Blue Voodoo 60w on loan with the option to buy. I'm trying to dial it in and save my marriage at the same time!
Great tips. I will try some of these. I live in a small apartment in Singapore and volume is an issue. Even volume 2 on a 0.5w amp setting is loud. I have the JHS little black box and it is great. Thanks.
You should have continued putting videos.. I liked that video alot I went to your channel there are only 3 videos.. Man you have good potential for good channel.
For sure! That little box is the best (if you are handy with a soldering iron you can build one for $10-$20, it’s just just two 1/4 jacks, four wires and a potentiometers)
Roland Micro Cube is the best amp for apartments, when you can only play at TV volumes. It has Jazz Chorus DNA so it sounds great for a solid state amp.
I use the JHS Little Black Amp Box even for my 1W Marshall DSL1CR, haha. Even playing that amp at 0.1 watts, it's too loud on its own. Just a reminder to everyone who hasn't had one at home yet: ALL tube amps are loud. That being said, I do manage to make mine usable in my apartment.
Thank you! What I love about the JHS Little Black Box is it creates a cap on your max volume, but in doing so you get more sensitivity between zero and that cap. So instead of doing the the not so fun dance of “where between 1 and 2 makes sound but isn’t ear splitting” you can really dial in the exact volume you want.
Hi Brett, I'm looking at buying a Little Black Box. How much tonal drop off would you say there is? Do you find your guitar sounds significantly different?
I've had to resort to using my plugins while my Orange head just sits in a corner. I'll be sure to use these tips! There's nothing like feeling it coming from a good cab (although don't get me wrong, plugins are awesome these days)
my tip would be try to get an amp that has a master volume so you can still push the gain towards overdrive levels but keep the volume low by turning the master down to 1 or 2. doesnt sound as good as a cranked tube amp but it still does the job for practice
Added carpet to the carpet, a rug folded 4 times under a yoga mat (cut into a half and 2 quarters) which reaches to the wall behind the amp, place a 1 and half inch shelf on that, a bit more yoga foam, another shelf then yoga foam, ad a shelf behind on that foam, then placed carpet cuts behind and on top of wood shelves and 3 inch professional acoustic pads. amp sits nice and low not too close the floor, like a mini shrine ; infront of an internal wall facing a wall cabinet filled with cushions (also placed cushions around the skirting boards in the room below the acoustic pad patchwork walls, which are covered with hanging fabric. triple curtained windows, extra seals on the internal door and eternal window door. At night I unplug all power cables...When I finally got it tight, neighbours below and next to had moved out. I miss the acoustic bliss of that once sparse room, should be snug this winter though. I know its guesswork but I felt the changing multiple textures should help diffuse noise leaks whatever frequencies they are.
Absolutely the best/cheapest option! And honestly if you have even the slightest skill in soldering/drilling you can build one for like $20. It’s just a Pot, 4 wires and two 1/4” jacks
I've been building amps for a year. I'm in an apartment, and it's a struggle to play without driving tbr neighbors nuts. I don't like pedals and prefer to get tone from my amp. I've built Lpad attenuators and fried most of them , so BEWARE. LOW HEAD ROOM youtube has a good design if you want to try one. Currently I'm building a trainwreck/dr z attenuator which is MUCH safer . I've built amps from 60 watts down to 5 watts. And they're all too loud for an apartment. I think the best success I've had were amps with these : -Cascaded gain stage, these help you attain preamp od early in tbe signal chain ( think jcm800 vs plexi) -ppimv master vol ( and sometimes pre.phase vol in same amp, works very well , especially with a cascaded stage - also needless to say, low wattage amps are great. I plan to build some marshalls and trainwreck amps at 1 watt or 3 watt with master volumes. I feel like my quest is near completion!
Thanks for the great video. I pulled my 100 watt Marshall out of storage and bought a Bugera attenuator, I like the JHS black box idea but am unsure about whether my effects loop is a series or parallel. Guess I'll buy one to see.
Thanks for the tips, I was wondering why my crush 35RT I recently aquired is so bassy, it is in the corner of my room, lol, now I moved it and it sounds more balanced!
Pro tip - If you can't afford a really low wattage one, you don't need one at home. There's tons of cheap digital stuff to practice with. If you have a tube amp that needs to be cranked to sound good, and you only have that to practice with. Get an Attenuator.
Great tips, really well delivered, thank you! I use the JHS black box with amps that have an effect loop, as you say it works great. What would you recommend for amps that have no effects loop AND hardwired speaker jack (meaning no attenuator possible unless you mod the amp)? I would love to tame my Vox ACs...
That is a tough one. I have never used a hardwired combo tube amp in a bedroom setting. I unfortunately do not have much advice here. As I am sure you have found at super low volumes (meaning the volume knob is just above zero) tube amps sound crazy thin and typically not good. You hear people ranting all the time about the “sweet spot” on a tube amp, and it’s typically opened up. You could try some pedals in front, EQ, Boost or OD, to reshape some of the EQ going in and hitting the preamp tubes a little harder. Noodling with the eq on the amp itself might help too, Stage EQ and Low Volume Bedroom EQ can be vastly different, so you might want to thicken up your lows and highs more than you would normally. But it’s for sure gonna be a delicate dance to get a Vox AC to sound great super quiet. Great Amp tho. Sorry I couldn’t be more help.
@@apartmentguitars7974 thanks a lot for your detailed feedback! Actually, the gain knob on the AC10 is doing a great job to give you that low volume Vox tone, chime & all. The key is to keep the Master quite low, contrary to what you would do at higher volume where you want the amp to push the power section. And you’re right about the EQ l, I found it works great (for my taste at least) with mids pushed though, i.e. bass & treble backed off as the controls on this amp are very interactive. So it would be perfect if the Master know was not so sensitive in the very first part of the knob trajectory. As it’s a linear pot, you got basically 80% of the volume between 7 & 9 o’clock!! And it’s quite hard to set, as you can jump to no volume to already too loud for bedroom volume in a 1/10 of a turn of a knob! That’s why I’m still looking for ways to be able to put the Master say at 9 o’clock, for practicality mostly. Just bought JJ EL844 low power tubes to see if it makes a difference, I will give an update. Otherwise I’ll have it modded to be able to plug an attenuator in it. I would still definitely recommend this amp even for bedroom playing as the tone and responsiveness of the amp is incredible, worth some amps 3 or 4 times the price!
Why do people seem to prefer the load boxes over simple solutions like the JHS black box or a Dr. Z brakelite, etc.? Is it just for the headphones/IRs, etc. I have Master volume amps, but these still sound better when cranked up. I can get TV level sounds from my Mesa V:25 combo, but the tone is 100x better if you can keep the Master at 9 o'clock or above. My non-master volume amps don't have an FX loop, so ironically, I think an attenuator is my only choice there. Not in an apartment but I have an infant and a wife so I can't crank at all times.
Awesome channel! I'm really happy to see someone using some Orange tube amps at lower volumes. I've been debating between the Rocker 15 and OR15, and also what speakers to use with them. Any recommendations?
The Rocker 15 with a PPC112 is my favorite low volume Orange Tube amp, the ability to switch between 0.5, 1, 7, and 15 Watts makes it super versatile as far as volume goes. And the clean channel is a must for me. I would also recommend you get an EQ for the effects Loop to real dial in the tone you want.
My biggest frustration when trying to stay quiet is I can hear the acoustic sound of my electric guitar mixed with the amp sound. You seem to like Orange amps 🙂, do you think an Orange Crush 35RT will be okay for a small apartment?
Man, ive been wanting to get the Captor X but i assumed the attenuator sucked on it being that its a 2 way switch and not a dial... If im wrong, then im gonna pull the trigger on one immediately
Hey what's up love your channel. I have an Orange amp question. I don't have any Orange tune amps at this moment but I would like to get a lunch box orange amp anywhere from 15 to 30 watts. Would you recommend the Rocker or the OR series? I'm not much for the dark orange stuff I do have a micro dark terror that I use for practice. My desired tone would be blues, jazz, rock, classic rock anything but metal. Although I love chuggers. I too have to practice in a small studio keeping the volume down so my kids and wife can sleep. Take care all the best
I think the Rocker Terror 15 is the way to go for you, you can bring the wattage down from 15 to 0.5 which means it’s both gig able and bedroom friendly. It’s very versatile as far as tone goes, with a TS9 on the front end and an EQ pedal in the FX Loop, you can achieve a wide variety of tones. And the clean channel is a real nice addition. If you have some extra cash laying around a Two Notes Captor is an awesome option to safely play your amp in complete silence through headphones for late night practice if you can’t make any sounds.
is hard to market a low wattage amp, because people love big numbers, people hear their music with a 100W amp and use 15W of power, a 30W what of power would be enough for transients. No one understand how sound levels work, is algorithmic, you need 4 times of power just to double the perceived loudness, so a 100W sound twice louder as a 25w. you need double the power just to get a boost of 3 decibel, so a big 200W will need a 400W just for mere 3db. So the most gain of decibels is confined in the first watt, even a 1/2 watt is loud enough to cause ear damage. a 1/10 of a watt will be louder than a conversation (60db) and louder than your acoustic strumming. With a efficient speaker a 1/10 will give more around 70-85db, that is vacuum cleaner loud.
@@apartmentguitars7974 i love that you keep telling people to build one. Everyone thinks its some kind of magic. Josh scott thought this is what they meant when they said pot was legalized
Attenuators suck. They rob your amp of great tone. Do the following for out right balls to the wall full tube sound at a managable volume: 1)Keep amp at full wattage/no attenuation 2)FX loop 1st pedal: a graphic EQ w/ overall volume control. Control your total volume with the EQ pedal. 3) FX loop 2nd pedal: a true compressor like the BOSS CP-1x NOT A SUSTAINER combo, those are junk. This will help with further squashing, and can simply be kicked off when you don't need it. I can play my Hughes and Kettner Grandmeister 40 (40 watts pure tube power) at full range out of a 4x12 with master volume >50% without waking my sleeping toddler the next floor up. And it sounds fantastic!
We were thinking of using a tad bit, when using too much on Fender Deluxe, it gets mushy. Marshall 50 Lead sounds great with attenuator on 2 and master volume at 2.
Good tips. I have an OR15 that I play at 7 watts and keep the master volume low. It’s still a pretty loud amp. I have thought about selling the amp and getting a rocker 15 for the bedroom setting. Or maybe getting the JHS black box to tame the volume. Any advice?
Any type of attenuator that can safely go between the amp and the cab, can help. I am not personally familiar with the Signal Pad, but I wouldn’t go cheap here. An Attenuator is going to soak up the actual electrical load coming from the amp, so it needs to be really well built. I use a Two Notes Captor in conjunction with the effects loop trick. But I will warn that an Attenuator alone isn’t going to bring a high watt amp down to bedroom levels with the volume cranked. You will still need to pull the master volume down, the Attenuator will just make it easier to find a bedroom friendly spot! Thanks for the watch and the comment!
Great video! Solid advice! One small nitpick about the video and not the info: I can tell you're looking down at a script to see what you're going to say. You could try putting the script closer to the camera, practicing more before shooting, cutting to more other shots of what you're talking about, and using voiceovers. Great stuff!
A very poorly placed (by me) teleprompter. My other vids took so many takes without notes I tried to streamline the process. It worked, but man my eyes are distracting to watch, and my delivery is dry. haha.
i took the time to measure the distance from golden co to the pyramids of Egypt. I then divided the quantum mechanics of the frequencies coming from my amp by the radius of the earth from the point of my bedroom to the tip of the big pyramid. I then called upon a wizard to cast a spell from the heavens down to earth to subdue all wild frequency ranges above 15 khz and below 35 hz. Then I got out my Ouiji board and asked if the moon is made out of cheese, which i thought might mute some of the sub frequencies leaving my guitar cabinet so as not to piss off the old lady who lives below me. and you know what??? none of it fucking worked. she still filed a noise complaint. Time for plan B. get a house!
I’ve been trying to find a good way to record this very concept. The problem is it’s kinda subjective, and the recording process changes the tone of of the amp. For example, I record with a Two Notes Cab M, which is a really nice Cabinet Simulator. So I set up my amp to what sounds good to my ears through the real 1x12, but once I plug it into the Cab M I have to tweak some of the settings to get it to sound good on the recording. The “live” sound of the amp and the “recorded” sound of the amp are totally different. Even if I mic’d up my amp the old school way just the position of the mic on the amp would change the sound of the recording. What I think I need to do is record with a small array of microphones, and blend them together to try to create an approximation of the “live” sound. But that presents another annoying problem; at bedroom volumes you can hear the twang of the strings over the volume of the amp. But that might not be a bother to you, so let me know if you want me to try it!
@@apartmentguitars7974 The best sound out of our 28 overdrives and distortion boxes, is the Hughes & Ketner Tubeman 1, set it to "funk" and turn gain all the way up, with master low. You'll get 95-99dB out of amp and it sounds full. Our problem is we're trying to get some overdrive too. The fullness changes when changing setting, or adding other pedals before or after. We're going to try Kaluna tube pedal soon. The Hudson Broadcast (full dist tone), EP Booster into OCD (full sound).
Honestly, it takes a lot more time than I though it would to make these. I work a full time job as an animator and it was more “work” for me than fun. I have some ideas for future videos and I will post again soon hopefully!
4:04 WRONG. I can even do this at full 1W with Marshall DSL1 & 2x12 v30. Not to mention 0.1W mode. You don't need any other external gear for that/. It obviously won't sound as good but you can still get the nastiest metal tones and still not get evicted/
Did some research and @1W (full power) ULTRA GAIN CHANNEL a little below 1/10 it gets +-85db = which isn't really that loud. The clean channel is a little bit more difficult to work with. at 0.5/10 of volume it can spike even to 90db+ = it's very sensitive to your picking/string attack. Something you don't really have when you play through studio monitors or headphones. All you get is compression or nasty clipping. Real stuff just gets louder/sounds better too lol. Get a 1x12 and an amp that can do 0.1 and you can play everywhere even in a very small apartment 25m2 without bothering anyone. If I had to record an album I would go for modellers/plugins as they are much easier to work with and sound much better recorded. For practice/fun... nothing beats the real thing, even when it doesn't sound as good as plugins and modellers, it's still more fun and joy to play/ Not to mention the real feel experience. It's just different and has to be experienced. For a small apartment I would go for 2x12 (haven't tested 4x12) because at 0.1W you can still keep it very quiet=whisper volume and the sound will be nicer/fuller/bassier through 2x12. I don't think I would go for 2x12 myself again/ It's way too heavy(+-28kg) for one person (167cm) and the 2nd speaker gives you +-3db so it's harder to control the volume @1W. To be honest... I can't or barely can notice any change in tone quality between 1w and 0.1. It's equally amazing but my mind is a fcking weird one and forces me to play @1W as the signal is untouched lol. Another thing I have noticed that my 1x12 was brighter (much much brighter) and tighter (jensen mod 12-50). Totally different speakers though so this is just a hunch. Actually I hated it so much that I have bought 2x12 v30 . It gave me almost exactly what I wanted but a little too loud and too loose with low end with tons of gain. It only applies to quiet
I have a question. I have a 1976 Twin reverb. I run a Line 6 Pod modeler and an MXR 6 band eq. My question: I f I want to shape the tone for low volume using the Line 6 and EQ what settings should i dial in for the tone controls on the amp itself? I know it's probably subjective but how about a good starting point? Anybody?
It is! One of the absolute best low watt Orange Amps you can get. It’s a tough little amp. This one survived an apartment fire last year (I did have it professionally cleaned afterwards) it’s only Second to the Rocker Terror because of the absence of a clean channel and no “bedroom/headroom” switch. But I still play it at least once a week.
Hello. I would like to ask for your help. I want to get the best possible tube sound without having to invest in a cab. I dont have the money nor the space. Is there something like a "preamplifier"? with no speaker output? something that i can use with headphones or plug it directly to my daw? i currently use gitar rig and it's not bad but i would like to try real tubes for once.
Not possible. I took my DSL5 back for refund, 0.5 watts set on volume level 1. The valve sound carried, my Boss Katana 50 set at 25 watts at level 2 is more reasonable. The issue for Marshal was the hum bucker setting on Fender Player HSS. The sound just resonated in a way the Katana didn’t. These tube amps sound good after level 4 it 5, you need the space and separation from neighbours and family members to do that.
Yeah you are inevitably going to loose quality at lower volumes, I find that when I am playing through a real cab, I have totally different amp and pedal settings then when I am doing silent recording through a loadbox with the amp cranked. I find that having an eq on the front end and and an eq in the loop and tweaking the frequencies till it sounds right, helps mitigate the tonal falloff of low volume playing.
i don´t know if something is wrong with my amp (blackstar ht club 40 mkll) but, in 4w mode when i put the channel volume on 5 and the master volume in 1 the readding are 73db, in 40w mode same settings 75db, I think it's too much, remeber every 10 decibels means 10 times more volume someone could help me by sharing, the power of your amplifier, volume settings and your decibel reading ? please
I’m really new to tube amps, (only ever played them in guitar stores) would you say that 20 watts (w/master volume) would be too loud? I’m looking at a 20 watt Marshall that I think I’d like, but I love in an apartment, any advice would be appreciated
I would say it depends on the Marshall. Some have selectable Wattage so you can bring it down. Some have FX Loops so you can put a volume pedal in the loop to tame it a bit. I wouldn’t say a 20 watt amp is too loud to play in a apartment, but without any Attenuation you’ll be struggling to keep it quiet and still sounding good. My recommendation; make sure it has an FX loop, and put an EQ pedal and a JHS Little Black Amp Box in the loop. And you won’t bother your neighbors too much.
@@apartmentguitars7974 Its the dsl40, it is technically 40 watts but you can turn it to 20. It does have an FX loop so I guess I’m covered there. Thanks for the info, this was a great video.
Some say 1 watt amp for bedroom, but we use our vox and marshall with attenuator and master volumes. Fender Deluxe is a different story, Tubeman 1 works best so far to get the fullness. I think most people say a 5 watt amp is BEST FOR BEDROOM VOLUME!
"not on the floor..." and what if i buy orange ppc412 (I know it's not practical)) - it's heavy as hell and even without wheels.. on what surface should I put it ? Attach some wheels or put on two wooden blocks (or bench) ?
I have never tried using a 4x12 in a bedroom situation, but I think what you might want to try is something called an “acoustic isolation pad” I am not sure if they make them for 412s but it should do the job. And it will look better than wood blocks or wheels. But if you are on a budget, yes wheels or wood blocks would decouple the cabinet from the floor.
Hey, I'm moving into a college dorm sometime soon with enough space for my speaker and amp, but do you think it's possible to use a Marshall JCM800 2203 (100W) through a 1960A if paired with a Weber Mass 200 or something? I really like the power tube distortion but I like my ears and good standing more lol
Hey! I don’t know how your college rules are, but mine didn’t allow for amplified instruments. My recommendation would be the the Two Notes Captor X (for a JCM800 I think you’ll need the 16ohm version but check your speaker output on your amp) it’s a little expensive, ($600 USD) but you get up too a 38db cut when playing through the Attenuator. It doubles and triples as a load box and headphone tap (so you can play it silently), with the amazing Two Notes C.A.B. System built in. So you will be able to get customized speaker emulation. It’s brilliant and I can’t recommend it enough. Also I think some of the JCM800 2203 reissues have FX loops, so throw an EQ pedal in the loop along with the Captor X, you’ll be able to do two things, a) use the level control to tame the master volume when playing through a speaker, and b) reshape your eq for low volume playing or just in general. Personally I use the BOSS EQ-200 but really any 7 to 10 band guitar eq pedal will do.
Ah that’s is the joys of having a nice piece of vintage gear. No modern comforts, but I bet it sounds AMAZING. If you go with the Two Notes option, pick up the “Black and Gold” cabinet pack. Those are the Marshall Cabinet Sims. You’ll be able to dime your JCM800 and play completely silent through a cab that sounds pretty close to your 1960A. Good Luck!
I personally have never played on an Axe FX or a Kemper but I have heard so many good things about them from friends and colleagues. Couple of things to keep in mind with a tube amp, they have upkeep. Tubes need to be swapped, most of them need to be biased during a power tube swap, which can be very dangerous to do if you are inexperienced (the little 15 watt Orange Amps I play in my apartment don’t need to be biased, I asked Orange, twice) they are hard to tame, and are heavy. But they look and sound AMAZING. (Most of them anyway) The high end digital stuff like Kemper is way more versatile, lighter and easier to manage. I can’t speak to how they sound live, but the recorded stuff sounds great. They have very little in terms of upkeep. But in my opinion they don’t look cool. And I am huge “buy something that inspires you to play” kinda guy. Also if you are playing in an apartment, 120 Watts is gunna be a lot to handle. The Savage 120 has two FX Loops so you can put a JHS little black box there to help tame it, but I would also recommend a Two Notes Captor or some other high end Attenuator to clamp it down to a neighbor friendly volume. Hope this helps!
@@apartmentguitars7974 Thank you so much! Very helpful. I only need a kickass rythm tone. I played BIAS FX and some little tube amps, no one gave that i need. So im thinking to try some monster like the Savage o Peavey Triple XXX and some Digital Proccesor. I only play Thrash and some clean tones, i dont need a versatyle gear, just a good chuging tone. Sorry for my poor english i am from Argentina. Greetings and thanks buddy.
i just play through the knocking, they'll stop eventually. 😂😂 then i got a combo amp with a power attenuator, the EVH 5150 1x12 has 1-50w control and works pretty good but its gonna be loud at some point no matter what... and if i have to listen to that lil fucker jumping around all day long like its a fucking fun house up stairs, then i can make noise too.
