Blademaster spec seems really awesome. And making Blademaster strike a cast time gives it the feel of playing a slam build, which I do enjoy. - Skeleton
Hey man it was a pleasure being on your team in that shitty bg, even though I got crushed the whole time by the starcaller. You can have my axe any time!
I think you really underestimate the burning charge talent. They can kite melee with burning charge as well as close gaps with it. Which really helps against ranged matchups. They really only lack strong self healing
Blademaster kinda reminds me of Samurai in Final Fantasy 14. Where it has one move that has a cast time but its a powerful strike. I do think Blademaster Strike should be the thing you get for being a Blademaster and not in the class tree
I like Blademaster, but I wish there was one on Classless Ascension. I really want a spec that basically empowers your next Mortal Strike with a magic effect of different types, likely through using spells of that school, and then does something like cannot gain Combo Points normally, only Mortal Strike and finishing moves are modified into Mirror Image, Mini Bladestorm, etc.
I’m sure you know some lore but Nobbel87 is like the VaatiVidya of the wow universe. It’d be sick if you guys could somehow collaborate with him for further ideas.
So no dual wield. Sounds disappointing to me. I'm just looking for a class/spec that looks like frost dk in WOTLK. To be honest, most of the previous CoA classes that I've seen in these videos look a bit over complicated, too many different and unique stuff, abilities, talents etc. I'm not a noob in WoW, but imho some classes have too many strange abilities or mechanics that won't be really friendly to new players. But still I'm waiting for CoA release more than any other WoW projects, gonna check the classes by myself, maybe there will be few easy or even stupid "one button" specs that are fun to play (yeah melee only, casters are boring for me xD).
This was my favorite spec for sure, I do miss the holy rune system, but I can get used to the new playstyle. It just feels like a jump, and kind of out of nowhere. Definitely feels like the followup buff should last longer. Love the videos, keep it up buddy, been following you for ages, first comment though.
Fist fighting in rpg's are my favorite. Good job man. RamRock, just in case....I think I'm leaving Ascension until I can access COA, I'll be around though
This looks fun but I definitely think the design is still somewhat backwards. Wouldn't it make more sense for Blademaster Strike to be instant and for the breakers to have a cast time (obviously excluding Blade Tempest)? The affected breakers should also have their damage tuned to be more impactful. It just feels weird to be stoked to get a 2min CD that makes the class play the way it should from the jump, you know? Either way, great work on the video and thanks for the showcase :)
Blademaster was my favorite Warcraft 3 hero, and Grom my favorite character in the WC3 story (even though apparently he's a warrior now?). Haven't been entering the giveaways because I already have CoA but now that you're out I'm hoping to win something else (I'd even take EXP aura/pots on CoA since leveling without them is soooooo slow). IGN Venaru on Archimonde/Area 52 and Mavros on Thrall. Or Xyfos on Rexxar.
What 500 likes lol,Mcdouble do you know, you are doing dream job we all wanted ,all of your followers or at least 98% of us...plust you do Ascension 🎩👏👊
I believe that the bloat caused by on-use talents in the talent trees is excessively high. In my opinion, a more effective approach would be to limit the total number of such talents to six, between both the specialization tree and the class tree. To maintain simplicity and streamline the system, a majority of talents should be passive buffs or abilities that enhance existing skills.
For pray I think it'd be cool if It didn't heal but instead was a dispel that if you successfully dispelled your target they gain a heal or sprint. Make it more skill based. Keep the CD on it
Great vids dude just allow me to ask a dump question 😂 how do can u move ur action bars casue am brand new to the game and I made an option key setup but didn't work on action bars how is that
Hey dude i was the guy u were hanging out with outside org at lvl 29.... is it true what u told me or were u joking dude? The story kinda got me a bit sad...
I am not sure I understand why Blademaster is a spec of Monk. I haven't played it so I might be off but it feels like it is two different class fantasies clashing Blademaster in my head makes more sense as a spec of Knight of Xoroth given all the fire and orc thematic. Or Barbarian, even Guardian or Pyromancer. Ubirajara, Archimonde
I've played monk on retail, but seeing this... It is a way better, even basic abilities. Wants me to try anew even normal ascesion realm. Eh if they only could add SL customizations for chars.
Because the monk class of retail it's a shitty mix of pandaren lore. The real monks of warcraft are this (just look some mobs of old scarlet crusade dungeons). The only sense in retail it's the tank spec brewmaster (hero playable on warcraft 3)
I wana set up a WA that plays "Taste mah Blade" audio clip when I spin or something xD. Loving the strong theme here man. Might be worth delving deeper into the healer or add some nuance to the spec. Blade master is on point from what I can see, as well as the combat one. But heal monk looked like it wasnt living up to it's thematic identity really. I'd love to try and make a chest piece for the blade master that has those beeds, would the CoA devs ever want to, or even be able to, make a community work shop like warframe has where we can make consept skins that can be implemented into the game based off of votes but with a strong emphesis on wow theme to try and keep the troll designs out of the game. I think that would be absolutely sick for the comunity if its even a possibilty. Coding isn't exactly easy. I gave up on that stuff a long time ago. Loving the vids man and hope ur enjoying the Dev sruff with the team! Also your name backwards got me hahaha
The key feature of a Blademaster was the mirror images and being able to swap positions with them. That's the main reason Wind Walk would work, you pop clone images, Wind Walk, and then swap position to one of the clones, be it for damage or to escape. Feels like if there is no mirror images, wind walk is just a crappy stealth. At least that's what I remember playing in WC3 and Heroes of the Storm with Samuro. Blademaster was never a straightforward warrior type, but more of an elusive assassin who micromanages clones to create confusion and chaos.
I honestly think that if you're going more orc blademaster, having an ability named after a titan isnt the best maybe Kargaths Claw or move it into the monk side, if you're going for a titan worshiper. But I love the vids as always!
what level does blade master get a follow up? cause last iteration you literally couldnt play them until you got a follow up cause they cant use the "fighting skills"
I had it changed so you get Blademaster strike at 11 and a chain to use it with next, you can also use sweeping kick for the first level after you get BMS
@@Mcdoubles so you cant use blademaster when you hit 10 and get your spec? also i noticed you still get chastise at lv 2 which means you have to use jab to level 3 so chastise is completely useless for that level 2 =/
Seems less like Monastery and more like D&D. Better spec names could be Brawler, Order, and Mastery. (Or keep Blademaster) I generally prefer more generic design to allow players to make their own identity. Not a fan of the no weapons spec, would be better if it was just for stats like WoW Monk. - Oak
IDK what you're talking about at 37:04 it comes to wind walk it doesn't need to be a improved stealth. The WC3 Blade master's wind walk wasn't a stealth ability. It was a evasion ability that made the Blade Master harder to hit like the rogues evasion.
@@Mcdoubles Yeah you're right my bad but still it should be an evasion ability instead. Personally I think that is more important then a stealth for the survival of the Blade master.
