Luckily fire ants (the ant that they are) are able to swim by grabbing onto each other and making a raft so that everyone survives, *this is why Zane and peirce can swim, they probably didn't know that but its still cool that some facts can go into this*

Once the first ants have hatched out of their eggs {Nanitics} the queen could just take it easy because now there is someone to do the work for her. Also, once the queen runs out of her supply of food to feed to her ants, they will start to venture outside to find some prey, but no matter what, the queen must not leave the nest. There will also be many ants to guard her, and most ants are female, and to see which ones are males you just have to look at them. Male ants get their wings before female ants, and once it's time for their nuptial flight all of them fly out of the nest and mate. But unfertilized queen ants will either not lose their wings, or only produce male ants which would be bad because female ants do all of the work while male ants, on the other hand, will sit around and do nothing. Just eat, sleep, and wait until the time for the nuptial flight comes. Also, the ants will use pheromones to talk to each other. Just gonna share some ant facts with you- Incase you do more videos like this: Ant queens don't usually fight, but they do sometimes examine the ant hill. soldier ants protect the worker ants while they "work", at least that's how it is with the leaf cutter ants. ALL OF THE WORKERS and the soldiers are female. The drones; which is the males, don't do anything. They just eat and rest and that's it. Your videos are still amazing, and I wish you would make more like this! :3

Yay this video is more scientifically accurate compared to the bee videos! Male and queen ants do have wings and the baby ants were larvae. The larvae are the number one priority to a colony like you showed in the video.
