Welcome to my climb to 1800 Elo! I'll be posting a game, win, lose, or draw, every day until I achieve my goal. It would mean a lot to me if you joined me on this journey :)

23:35 "Why put myself in a pin, when I don't need to" Proceeds to put himself in a pin that straight up loses a knight 😄

at 24 46 black played d5. If white responds kg1black takes the knight and is 3 pawns up.But the 3 extra pawns are trippled and isolated.

Also, it saddens me to see you apologize for not resigning. If you don't take it from me, take it from GothamChess - "Never resign!" Blunders happen all the time, all it took was one rook from the opponent like last game and your "absolutely zero chance of winning ever" would suddenly become favorite to win. Just keep on playing - treat it as an endgame / repetitional draw practice if you want - and who knows what will happen.

27:20 Instead of thinking about the game, you are once again talking how you are "dead lost" (based on being down just 2 points of material), and you start making quick bad moves without thinking about them, actually losing the game. I think you really need to stop constantly evaluating who is won or lost according to Stockfish and just play, you have lost so many games because of this. You are not the caster, you are the player, shift the focus from comparing the positions to what the best next moves are no matter who wins as if it's a puzzle rush or something.

The reason we watch is because he is playing the role of a caster, offering his personal insights and train of thought. If it was just some guy focusing on trying to play his best chess and win, it wouldn’t be entertaining to watch. Personally, I don’t think you should offer so many harsh sounding criticisms of the playing quality in a video that’s made for your entertainment, all these critical comments come off as a little much to me.

@@jmdodge in a sense yes, but there is a difference between a player commentating his game and a caster analyzing it, and I feel that he's leaning a bit too much into the second one (while not being great at it, as he keeps assuming all his games are dead lost once he's down a pawn)

@@jmdodge regarding my criticisms of the playing quality, my goal is to help him find and fix his mistakes faster, as I think that is one of the reasons he made this channel - to get better at chess. However I see that I might sound a bit harsh, I'll try to word myself better in the future
