I used my GoPro Hero 10 to film my village cricket match against Dubai Wanderers Cricket Club. This match was played on the hottest day recorded in UK history - 40 degrees Celsius! Thank you to the Dubai Wanderers for a great match played in a fantastic spirit. Also, I bowled for the first time this season!

I watch you every morning before my match to get me in the mood and to get my confidence up. Ironic you should be playing Dubai Wanderers on a day when Woodhall Spa looks like Dubai! I have to admit to disappearing to lovely Cornwall to escape the heat with my partner! Keep up the top work. 🤣 played cricket as a teenager and into my late 30’s at a reasonably high level in Australia. I wouldn’t say 40+ degree days were the norm but you definitely play in a few every year. That’s Australia though and that outfield is quite lush compared to many rural ground in Australia in the middle of summer

So, that was a regular day for any Perth summer. For three months it gets awful here but gorgeous for the rest of the year. Not your best game Gareth, agree with you there Mate, but that's what cricket is all about, ups and downs. There's always next week, next innings, next game. Still a great video. Agree with the umpire, give the guys a break, respect the decision and move on.

Looked like that game was being played in Australia. I remember bowling 22 overs one day it was 42C and both my hamstrings cramped at the same time in the rooms after the game. I took a cracking catch at leg slip that day I reckon because I didn't want to run and get the ball if I missed it. I think these days they call the game off at 38C

Gareth, I beg to differ. Rule number one... If it doesnt bounce, it can't spin..... Other than that, the nuts that hit the pitch spun, quite sharply. Some so much they became a leg side wide. Don't give up. Line. length and you're an all rounder. Fess.
