Turning the conversation to your own experience (as a way to relate) is actually a trait of low self-esteem. I used to do this. Instead, when someone is telling you a story that makes you think of your own story and you want to relate, ask them QUESTIONS about the story they just told. Relating to someone through being interested in what they're saying is one amazing way to get yourself out of that loop.

My ADHD is the EXACT same! I need to say everything out loud to get it out of my head, so I am constantly thinking out loud and talking to myself. Whenever I am talking to people I start making up words because my mouth goes faster than my brain and I can't remember the right conjugation for a word so I just say whatever form of the word comes to mind. After I see a lot of people like at a party or gathering, I will spend hours that night just going over every single interaction that I had and usually cringing at something I said. I can stare someone dead in the eyes when they are speaking, but the second that I start speaking I cannot make eye contact to save my life.

Seriously having a baby is crazy! I was always tiny and healthy but never weighed over 100 pounds. I gained 60 pounds haven’t lost it and now I’m on multiple blood pressure meds and am pre diabetic. I’m constantly sick from all my meds, but I’d do it a thousand times over to have my daughter after two miscarriages prior to her. She’s everything I’ve ever wanted❤ I had to be induced early due to dangerous high blood pressure while I was pregnant, she was in the nicu for 6 weeks and it was horrible. Your videos of the twins being in the nicu helped me be prepared for the emotional journey, thank you! I’m so glad you are back making videos. You are the person I watch for comfort when I’m anxious.

Stop stressing!! You are the person that saves me at a party. I can never fit in because of not being able to think of what to say. You walk in fill the air and give me unlimited topics to talk about. I would love you at any party.

Speaking out before thinking is such an ADHD thing. I do it too. I had a conversation with my friend. Idk if it helps. Your friends love you. Think to any of your ADHD friends. I have ADHD and autism and I feel like when I am with other people and really having to pay attention to whats going on, I am in a constant state of confusion. This is party why school was so traumatic for me; It wrecked my self-esteem to feel like I was the only person in the room who did not understand what was going on, or who needed clarification on instructions. There is a saline gel called ayr. You can get it a Any pharmacy . You can put some on a q-tip and put it on the inside of you nose before bed and in the morning. It moisturizes your nose in the best ways and dramatically decreases bloody noses and isn’t slimy ❤Lisa.

One of the weird things that changed for me after having kids is my equilibrium is off. I used to love roller coasters and rides, now I can barely swing without getting dizzy.

My friend just told me about something that sounds like what you're talking about at the end of your video: Rejection Sensitive Dysphoria. I am not a doc or any professional on this but when I read about it I was like, "Wow that's me". And I just want to say that I releate to exactly what you're talking about. It actually wasn't until my 30s that I realized I have a form of ADD or ADHD and am so glad that there's an explanation for why my brain works the way it does. Thanks for being candid and real; I've been watching you daily since the pandemic (and before that too) and I'm so happy you're here again. 💕

Girl, the after pregnancy body struggles...I totally know how you feel. I've had two pregnancies, and each time I swear, the body changes so much. I had to have surgery for pregnancy caused hernias (twice!) And had to have my diastasis recti pulled and stitched back together. Pregnancy really just wrecked my body haha

YES to the ADHD brain! My husband is that way. I always tell him he has to talk in order to process while I need to journal in order to process. Also, losing hair postpartum is my struggle😭

I sometimes think of situations that happens years and years ago that was embarrassing (in my mind) or I had a little to much to drink and said or did something that I thought the next day and had my heart palpitations ''omg why did I say that!? '' ''why did i do that!?'' , that i still have randomly pop in my head to this day .. & the people involved in those situations probably dont even remember, or found to be embarrassing .. over thinking is the worst ..

I love you talking about the changes to your body after pregnancy. I love cracking open the geodes, I mean watching you do it. And I completely am the same way with trying to find relatible stories And then other people think that I'm making it all about me, When I'm just trying to relate so I can help them. My husband and I are different like that and its quite a struggle.

WHEN I TELL YOU that I leave social situations and feel like im crashing bc I gave it every ounce of my energy.. I say to my husband everytime "was I too much" or "did I overshare too much" he always laughs, bc he knows & loves me. But MY GOD.. the reality that hits me when I leave and reflect😅😅😂 i can NEVER stop my mouth when Im in social situations omg. Its like im floating above myself watching myself but im helpless to stop it😅😅😅 Anywho, I totally do the "storytime" (we call it) too, and tell people every frickin detail about my life, sometimes bc i want them to know/ like me.. sometimes to connect. So I 100% get that! The overstim sometimes sets me off hard. Adhd is wild 😂 If anyone ever had/has an issue w it, I just say those arent my ppl. And move along. You are def my people Colleen. I use to have bad B.O. but I started using salt sticks because they created very salty conditions where the bacteria that cause body odour can't grow. I am currently using Wild as that seems to work well for me as well.

Please stop overthinking that you're talking too much or that you're embarrassing when speaking. As an overthinker myself I deal with the same racing thoughts except I'm opposite with the talking. I tend to just stay quiet but I still have those thoughts about everybody must think I'm ridiculous and such. You're human and it's ok to just be you, you're rocking it Colleen, keep doing you.. and tell that doubting, nagging voice in your head to take a hike. 😊

My son gets nose bleeds quite often at certain times of year always seems to be when the seasons change especially going into spring summer and the warmer months and the again as it changes back to winter!

Colleen I’m the same! I’m currently waiting to be diagnosed with ADHD and I’ve lost so many friends because people think I’m self centred when I’m just trying to show relatability and support :( a few years ago I had to drop out of 6th form (it’s a UK education thing from 16-18) because I lost all my friends suddenly. I’d been struggling at home and they didn’t like how much I would talk about it (I was looking for someone to relate to subconsciously I think). I hate it when people call me selfish (it’s happened too much). I don’t tend to struggle socially but I can sometimes seem insensitive when I don’t mean to be and it SUCKS. I’m glad I’m not the only one lol it feels nice that there’s other people who have the same thing :)
