The Nextplay "Glitz & Glitter" NP400BG boombox has nothing to do with the lost media song "Everyone Knows That / Ulterior Motives", but nevertheless it has become the icon for the song ever since one of the first people to post the snippet of the song on RU-vid used a photo of this radio as the thumbnail, and now most people heavily associate it with the song. I am sure many people who have been searching for the song for a long time have become tired of seeing the radio, but I suppose I am still in the early stages of discovering this whole thing and I thought it would be a fun little video to make. I bought this boombox through a very lucky facebook marketplace find two weeks ago, and the quality honestly doesn't sound that bad!

I had this boombox as a kid, and it's actually most of the reason I got involved with the search for EKT, the boombox thumbnail caught me by surprise and the mystery behind the song was just very intriguing. The song is called Everyone Knows That by the old Canadian band by the name of ulterior motives. They recorded the song but the lead singer got into it with a band member. So they never released it :(

Yeah, I thought the description said the image was made by AI. I didn't know it was apparently just a photo of a real object. I was always impressed by how good it looked, especially the coherent and relevant text. We've been lied to this whole time.
