The problem is, we wanted "better genshin", and what we got is... well, a mainsteram fighting game which tries to mimic all the latest hoyo games. They got genshin-like open world, HSR-like interface, and combat from Honkai Impact (plus parry mechanic they REALLY want you to use). Intro/outro skills are good addition, but they actually existed before in other games, just in different form: for example, in Genshin there is TTDS which gives exactly the same effect as Sanhua outro skill. Or Lisa C6 applies 3 stacks of her Violet Arc to enemies when taking the field. The problem with all these skills is you can't use them when you want to, or rather, you can't save them until you want them to fire. Maybe that is the reason other games don't pay as much attention to these mechanics as WuWa. I mean they ARE there, but are optional to use and just nice addition.
same, i was a exploration + building characters for combat kind of player. I love the lore but the story telling was so bad i was actively avoiding it. But Wuwa has much MUCH better exploration...
You're so real for the "people who hates GI used to love it" because I was one. I dolphin-ed. I still adore Zhongli. I feel you. Thank you for this video.
This is my opinion. I’m AR56 in genshin and I’m not to far in WW (abt Level 16 ish) and so far, I definitely prefer WW. Early game, both are really good and I personally love genshin impact when ur experiencing Mondstat and Liyue. Idk it just feels really nostalgic. But then later it starts to get kinda boring except for the archon quests. However, from what I’ve experienced, WW is much more generous with gifts so if your much more interested in the characters and playing them, WW is better. But story wise, in my opinion, genshin is better. Pls don’t batter me this is just my opinion. Ty if you read all this and have a good rest ur day.
To be fair, the Waves' story just started, hahaha. I personally prefer Waves' (I played GI for 700 days + AR60 + a dolphin) but I might try to find out how GI ends. Might. I haven't looked back, honestly.
i know none asked for my opinion but personally speaking i feel like most of genshins story is filler or meaningless. i cant stand genshins story i just like wuthering waves story much more + the characters move more and feel more alive in dialogue/cutscenes aswell im not sure if this is an personal bias of mine but i like for once actually having an skip option. i will stick to wuthering waves just because it has an skip option. its just so much better for when i just wanna rush through the story since if im interested i can just watch an youtube video for the story. genshin cant hold me over if i have to sit through so much dialogue that feels like nothing gets said or actually done in said dialogue as its just used to extend the run time of the game
@@Starmarine1892 that is true and I respect ur opinion. I think ur right too. I have played more of WuWa and it is honestly better. Like u said, they move and they show actual emotion. Plus, they have the skip button like u said which I love because WuWa respects that some people don’t really care about the story. However, with genshin you have to tap a bunch if you don’t want to go through the quest.
@@MagisterialVoyager u are right and I’m sorry I didn’t take that into account but thank you for letting me know. The story did just start when I made the comment. Right now, I personally loved early game but the Fontaine archon quest is honestly the best. However, I have played more WuWa and the story is honestly really good and it actually makes me want to listen to the dialogue bc it actually interests me.
I played around sumerus(?) first release and left shortly after for genshin. I personally hated how slow it was and how boring as a new player, I didn't even get to union level 20 before deciding it wasn't for me. Of course , I thought about returning because I felt something was incomplete and the characters such as furina looked awesome. Then when wuthering waves released, the empty hole was complete and it felt amazing, the progress was much faster and it's just what I've been hoping to see from Genshin. Of course, it's probably because it's new but I like to think that it's just faster and the story was more interesting compared to genshins first few moments. Whenever I see clips of Genshin it just looks like a knock off. Also, I'm pretty sure a lot of Gacha games are generous and it's just Genshin that under gives, unless it's just the Gacha games that I've been playing that are extremely generous (ex. Nikke, they gave over 100+ pulls JUST for a half anniversary.) and/or listens to the community and tries to improve.
I respect your opinion, but I think you're jaded when it comes to genshin bc you spent so much time playing it, and thus, you have an artificial disdain for the game. Wuthering waves may seem better in your opinion because you haven't burnt out of it yet, not because it's superior. They are both fine games, but I can't fathom how sprinting in genshin is "clunky" opposed to wuthering waves. They are basically the same mechanic. Genshin has more basic mechanics, but they are not clunky, except for maybe wallclimbing certain terrain. I've run into more clunkiness in Wuthering waves, than in Genshin. For instance, on Calcharo, i need to buffer my e2 because using it immediately after e1 causes the enemies to not take dmg. I think wuthering waves is superior in: Boss fights (gameplay wise) and story pacing. I could see why someone might generally prefer the combat of WuWa, but other than that, I think you'd need to be dishonest to say WuWa is a superior game.
IIRC you didn't need to collect all of those aranana but some chests were locked behind those quests. So if you want to 100% you're forced to find all.
i dont think ill ever go back. I was a lvl 57, and i think the only reason i stayed for a whole year was because my irl friend and I played it together. Other than that i have nothing to do in the game other than going into co-op and yapping to random ppl.
I introduced genshin to an IRL friend when it released. i played till AR55 and stopped around that because we had a falling out. Safe to say Im peacefully playing PGR and Wuwa and never touching Genshin due to sentimental memories being severed there.
Sounds like you enjoy games for their social aspects. So it isn't a Genshin problem, it's that you need to find games that allow you to more easily find and play with other players.
Wuwa for dailies, combat, and communication of Kuro to players. Genshin for story, music and smoother performance overall. Both have awesome character designs and map visuals.
Problem is some(not all) genshin players just can't take opinions and devs also just can't take opinions from it's players and after 4 years of genshin's development it will be doing things just the old ways they are the way the game did in it's launch, exploration, story phasing, everything feels old after playing a game like Wuthering Waves.
As someone with 2 main accounts level 58 and 56, the game is now a walking minigame simulator, I can't even bring myself to finish Sumeru, wish I could get a refund on all I spent
As a dolphin, I really feel the refund comment, LOL. Though I'm doing surprisingly OK with a Wuthering Waves' dolphin since the weapon Convene is guaranteed. I love it so much, mwah. 😘
I quit GI two days before the Waves’ release. At that point, I was burnt out for the umpteenth time of the game. How Kuro being kind to its fanbase with PGR is really interesting and, needless to say, I never look back. And now with Natlan characters (and everything, really) being such a joke to me, I'm happy to have a good distance with the game and its company.
I'll bfr, I think the teapot in genshin HAD potential. The whole making a little home for your characters and getting a ton of resources from it was really nice, but why in the FUCK is it that there's a limit of like idk 13 objects in it?? Like if you want your braindead 13 year old "I stole my dad's credit card to get Ganyu" ass fans to be creative then MAKE IT ABLE TO BE CREATIVE.😭it would've been so nice to just have some sort of thing to do when you're bored in the game but they literally ruined it bro smh. And don't get me STARTED on how compared to wuthering waves, the characters in genshin look like literal wuwa NPCs. I used to not mind it when I played genshin because it wasn't too bad but now I legitimately can't unsee it bro oh my GOD.. there's a video of Changli vs Yae Miko side by side comparison... One more thing, I get SO SO annoyed by how when you open the character screen in genshin, the character just.. stands there.. like sure they may do a little animation sometimes but it's overall literally nothing.. wuwa has A LOT of animations in their character screens/galleries and it never looks plain.😞
What I hate to this day is when you want to change teams, you have to WAIT. Like, WHY? Just instaload it bro, like Wuwa and HSR does? Does Unity have such crap coding that I have to wait every single time I want to change my party members?
@Sergmanny46 LITERALLY OMG, I thought I was the only mf who couldn't handle the seconds of waiting because like nobody's talking about it. But literally... why..
Nah cause I see some people complaining that WuWa characters look like npcs in their world like it’s a bad thing. Like idk if I’m fcking crazy or something but if your characters look like they fit in with their world then that’s a good thing? I remember going to different regions and walking around and feeling like I didn’t belong there in genshin but in WuWa I felt like I stood out but not like I was in the wrong world bro. The best analogy is a Teutonic knight walking around ancient Japan💀
@@Bronan2920 exactly bro i don’t understand how they say WuWa designs are bland and copy paste when all genshin designs are based off colors and belts💀.
The only thing I love about Genshin is the music but everything else is, and I'm positively sure, purposefully designed to frustrate veterans in the game. exploring the world for chests was never meant to be a thing because it breeds burnout, it could have been better if the Aranara quest gave something like a unique, versatile and powerful weapon like the catch and 70% less effort. The lack of a skip button for every interaction is bizarre and again purposefully designed to frustrate veterans.
I didnt need to play WuWa to feel this way about all this in Genshin since day 1. Been calling the combat shit. The navigation/movement a slogfest, greedy on the currency/pulls/gifts etc. etc. I think for me, it's cuz I already have played so many awesome games and also many other gachas that are way more generous. It's interesting how one's perspective is influenced based on what their norm is, IMO.
Genshin's FOMO tactics actually made me to prefer missing out instead of coming back kekw. Been stopping for playing in 2023, and not a single moment everytime i see Genshin do my mind think "damn, i miss this game i should get back to it". Taking a hiatus for the game you religiously played is a good solution to bring back the excitement to play again when you're bored, that's what most Minecraft players do anyway, but Genshin is literally not the same case 💀
God they always had a chance to give us a skip button for the stories but y'know what they decide was better? A LOG TO SEE WHWT WAS SAID PREVIOUSLY well I'll be hoyo what a nice feature oh but I think you forgot something WE ALREADY HAVE A FEATURE LIKE THAT IN THE MENU WTF
i already have 2 characters with beautiful echoes in wuwa, meanwhile 1 year and 2 month in genshin make me give up farming artifact for nahida and yae 👌
I agree dude genshin artifacts are scam. In 2 weeks my Jian has 85% crit rate and 255% Cdm Its more broken than any other character in genshin i have. Echo leveling system maybe bad but atleast u can build ur charas faster!!
This video basically sums up everything the community has been frustrated with for the last 2 years. I noticed you also quit after almost maxing Sumeru and I did the same thing 😭😂I just couldn't stand the bullshit anymore after that abysmally long prison mission which I should have mashed the skip button with. But one thing I would criticise you on is the music in Genshin Impact being just okay. The music in this game was fucking amazing. I would play the boss music and some overworld music endlessly regardless to what I was doing.I still think the Raiden and Scara boss fights are goated. THE MOVEMENT IN THIS GAME IS ABYSMAL! IT'S SO FUCKING BAD. I remember creating the same team to travel the overworld with and using all my materials (after 3.5 years of farming) to create dishes that boost stamina, AND IT WAS STILL UNPLAYABLE! Good video overall though. I am perplexed by Mihoyo and how they are letting their golden child die with each patch as I remember seeing recently that Genshin has been lossing more players than they are getting and making less and less money each patch. The whales are absolutely starting to leave this game because you can't C6 your way out of clunky mechanics and boring experiences.
Exactly. Where's my C6R5 character that can run on walls, use a grappling hook or fly in any direction other than horizontally? The closest thing we got to that was Xianyun, and even then it still doesn't come close to how smooth and fast Wuwa's movements feel. Not to mention only like 5% of the community has her because the other character on the banner was Nahida.
The frustrating part is the fact that they are not playing into the potential of the game... We hate the fact that mihoyo doesn't love the game as much as we do.
Long comment incoming lol bc I agree and I want to rant about this so bad!! I started playing genshin like a year after its release, got to ar57 I believe, and at first it was fun, especially the first two regions. Mondstadt and Liyue (especially Liyue) are so nostalgic and def my favorite, but after that it just went downhill real fast imo ... And personally, as someone that plays to have fun exploring and get the characters I like, genshin is absolute ASS for both of those things and I'm only just realizing now playing WuWa (and HSR might i add). Like the rewards are so terrible you'd need to spend money in the game or grind for so many hours daily like a crazy person with no life to actually have the possibility of getting the characters you like, which was frankly the biggest appeal in the game for me, so having to wait ages to get a five star I want was AWFUL and turned me off the game a lot once I realized it didn't have to be like that (it was actually Honkai Star Rail that made me realize this, I've only been playing since Boothill's release and I got him and Argenti already pretty easily which I'm very happy about). When I saw the banners in Wuwa where you get a five star for basically free, then another one where it's about 50 pulls (that the game basically gives you so fast too) to get another five star, I was dumbfounded at how generous the game was! And we're going to get a new 5 star for free soon too!? And about the exploration of the world, it's also just awful in genshin. Everything is sooo damn slow to the point where it becomes annoying to explore which shouldn't be a thing in an open world game - what's the point of making a whole world it if you're gonna make traveling through it excruciatingly boring to the point where there's a whole bunch of waypoints everywhere???? why are we going so slow as base speeed and also have stamina that not only runs out fast, but also takes ages to recharge???? why do we have to spend 10 minutes climbing up a mountain and then do it all over again if we fall or run out of stamina?????? And don't get me started on the awful side quests that are SO boring it feels like hours of unskippable dialogue about some random npc's life story and having to go to the opposite side of the region, then back to them, then back to somewhere else, then having to speak to another npc for a long ass time, then do a puzzle... and after all of that you get like. 10 primogems out of it. it drives me up a wall!! Let me tell you the relief I felt when I saw every dialogue was skippable in WuWa was so big LMAO Anyway my comment is long enough now but I really had to let it out and this video felt like the perfect excuse. new sub btw
I used to be that guy who clears the map 100%, but then sumeru dropped with all the forests and the big as fuck desert expansion that nobody asked for and it ruined everything for me the amount of oculus, chests, quests aranaras are fucking me up so i quit the game lol. Came back for Fontaine and it's a breath of fresh air then i lost like my 8th 50/50 in a row on Neuvilette so I quit again😂😂 now Natlan is on it's way and Capitano is coming so I'm returning again
I've been playing genshin for almost 3 years I'm AR 60 many 90 lvl well build characters and I must say that WW opened a new chapter for gatcha games. That game does sooooo many things better than genshin starting with exploration!!! I just love it and genshin is bullshit in comparison. The combat, the gatcha system, graphics...so many things done so well But...I still prefer the music in genshin and I don't know why but I don't like the walking and running animations in WW. Those girls walk and run like they were struggling :D like they were tired...hard to explain. Girls in genshin walk and run more gracefully but that's only my opinion :) I agree - genshin is more and more like a game for kids :( it's too simple, no challenge at all. Boring endgame. Stupid events with shooting balloons and other stuff omg :( and no combat system would be good now after experiencing that masterpiece from WuWa !! I hope this game will flourish and players will support it. I will for sure :) And one very important thing - I was soooo in shock when I saw that they give all that stuff like lootmaper, grappling hook and all those utilities in the beginning of the exploration when we need it the most...not like genshin when we got this in the end...who the fuck thought it would be a good idea :D
Kinda opposite for me, when I go back to genshin, it feels like nobody else does this stuff better thn hoyo. Like new simulanka is just so freaking good its just unreal
The worst part is when you get a character that from another region you can't ascension that character because of the materials you need because the materials belongs to the region and you need to go there to get it, ( literally you are starting a game and get Furina or other characters from far far region you will be cook💀 as fuck they will be useless as hell( I'm not hating genshin but i used to play if i was enjoying it but they are a lot of issues they need to fix 💀, i been playing genhsin 3 year and i got 3 5 star😆 even worst it's hard to grind because of the story, bro the story can create a anime adaptation because the long dialogue bro 💀 you will be died after completing it. meanwhile in wuthering waves they gave you a freedom to roam around they didn't bother to get a restrictions border to another region/place so we can travel around and get some materials in that place.
The aranara quest line is 8 hours long and thats only when you are skipping every bit of dialogue you can. I remember spending almost a full day skipping dialogue just because they wouldnt get to the point and I lost interest.
New sub. I’ve been waiting for this Furina rerun bc apparently she’s the best character in the game. I was considering spending money to buy primos, but then I had the epiphany “Fuck this game. This game and its developers don’t deserve my money.” The money will be better spent supporting Kuro and WuWa.
ive been playing a Year with Genshin i don't have Yelan, or the Wanderer, or Mona. I do have Sayu but even i don't play her. Because rolling on a 0.6% chance to win characters with REQUIRED functionality makes it impossible to beat certain stages or parts of the game.
I played Genshin since release and each year I was hoping that the game would improve but I kinda gave up on it on my 3rd year and already accept that this is everything that Genshin will ever be, nothing more or less Nowaday I still login to do weekly bosses, event and abyss but that's about it, roughly 30 minutes/week. I can't be bothered to do anything more than that, it is just not fun. I'm not going to invest time or money into the game anymore Wuwa might not kill Genshin but it definitely kill it for me
The Aranara quests, I find it really cool in appearance, what makes this quest rotten is the time we need to do for it, if Hoyo had divided the quest time in half, there would be almost no complaints.
Genshin developers needs to realize that we don't like farming especially when it's time gated and there's hardly enough resin for all the mats and artifacts.. at least in WuWa we get to farm echoes as we explore the map and weapons share the same materials as characters
I quit Grnshin after playing for a long time. Then i reinstalled to see if I can get back into it. Then Wuwa came out and i played that. I didnt even need to play Genshin again to know I wasn't going to be able to go back a third time lol
I was in ar56 after i saw the natlan characters i uninstalled ut of my tablet and then the scam of neuvillette and took the weight out of my playstation. Hoyoverse doesn't so i don't care either. Problem solved. After i played wuwa and i tried to see how genshin was the game loaded and my brain broke. I just didn't know what to do there was nothing. Just the event and the primogems. I lost 50/50 and i won my Jianxin so I'll keep with the game that won't use the others culturws while say "fuck y'all ❤". I feel free now.
It was really well written at times but jesus fuck was it long and painful to go through. The worst part about it is that if you didnt burn through it all when you started Sumeru you would be forced to endlessly backtrack and lockup guides on what you missed and why you even missed it. Its just shit and it ruins exploration. They had a good story but fucked up the delivery of it and made the quest rage inducing
Yeah, the difference between gamers is really showing. I personally enjoyed every bit of it. It was whole two weeks of joy. In my opinion, this is the best questline outside of the main story. Looks like gamers these days are all "quick, we have to 100% the map in the 1st day", is what they do. If that's the case, they WILL hate long quests, there is no way around it. I sometimes wonder, how they even manage to watch videos longer than 1 minute.
@@atomotron they don't mean that stop defending lol If you like something doesn't mean everyone else will do so too The way it was presented was shit for many That's the thing even though genshin may have better story than that of wuwa but it's narration sucks And people like you come up to defend their poop and that's why company gets the courage to present more and more poop lol It isn't due to short attention span if there are so many people against it and heck the aranara quest protest were even before wuwa launched
@@atomotronno, "gamers" all have life and other things going on. The thing is, IT IS MANDATORY especially for f2p to finish that quest because it got rewards like primogems for saving up the gacha or else you gonna be wasting a lot of primos. and with the typical gacha games, limited banners come and go, so for f2p players they have to finish all the content in the game whether they like it or not. i hate every bit of Sumeru because of it's exploration, and not because i wanted to 100% the region quick, but because of how complicated the explorations are and to this day i ain't even gonna bother to 100% the region.
@@a4arick106 that's just a regular gambling addict speaks in you. Be strong, do quests when you want to learn something about the story, the world, or the characters, or when you just want to have some fun. Never for measly primogems. You are ruining your gaming experience with your own hands man.
It did not change much for me because my overworld team almost always has Wanderer and Yelan in it. Also usually Xinyan and sometimes Furina. The problem is that it gets boring using only those characters but using any other characters is unplayable. Wanderer is probably the best overall pull I ever made in Genshin and I have so many characters. He makes overworld so comfortable. He can even sort of run up walls.
One of the worst things is how quests tie into each other and important things are locked behind them. Like APEP- a weekly boss you need material from to level characters... You have to go through Nahida's Second Story quest for. To get to that quest you had to have completed other quests. And if you were ignoring those quests...you got a lot of button-mashing to do...
@@B_R_U_H14 Too little too late, do you know how much pain it is to not get the chara material cuz the boss is locked behind 12 hour quest and you don't have the time to do it, only after 3 fckin years did we get some QoL for it and this apply to almost every little thing in genshin, the QoL is just too little too late if ever. Even now we still don't have artifact set like wtf I love the game despite all of its flaw but I'm also more aware of its shortcoming after playing it for almost 4 fckin years and each year hoping that it would change for the better
Hogwarts legacy, cyberpunk, arkham asylum, forza horizon 5, bioshock infinite, halo master chief collection, stray, hollow knight. All these games are much better than genshin.
I'm day 1 genshin player, after all those hard year's collecting the characters and Finnish the quest and map of teyvat except fontain, after wuwa come out im in love in wuwa, i try so hard to play both game but wuwa stole most of my time then decided to uninstall genshin is the best decision ever because what's the point playing two game while. The newest game had more upgrades from The previous game. And the characters make me hooked because wuwa characters 100000000x better in terms of skills and animations compare to genhsin 5 star's.
i dun play genshin much for the artefacts or commission or primo, i just have around 12 characters who will carry my account so i have easy to time to mainly play genshin for the plot (the lore) interms of fun and gameplay wuthering waves takes the crown and its lore is above average and interms of lore genshin nails it but if they focus much on lore it makes more of a lore game than a combat game which is the basic ingridient for video games even in racing games there's combat for position 1. (btw nowadays i play genshin to make observation on their optimization, well im planning to make a game ive been writing its lore for 7 months now, anyway i mostly watch genshin's lore on yt without having the urge to play it thats how much i can prove to u genshin is a lore game) In genshin if i fight during the story quest or archon quest i wanna do things asap to see what happens next and again imma be honest i got bored with the exploration when i first visited inazuma thats when it felt overwhelming and sumeru made it worse to summarize things wuwa is very interactive on the gameplay (combat and adrenaline , agility and flexibility in exporation) while genshin is very interactive on the lore but not combat. prove me wrong if u can enjoy genshin only with the mc for me nope. but if i play wuwa with the mc i will be perfectly fine because kuro hasnt sold mobility advantages and flashy moves and dodges aka shield in genshin lingo
I was going to bash you for using Shenhe on an Eula team, but then I remembered she also lowers physical res of enemies, not just cryo. Still, just use Bennett. Unless he's C6, then get f*cked. Also, wrong. Wuwa did kill Genshin, just not in the way everyone's thinking.
My love for Genshin died with the puzzles and exploration in Inazuma. Tried to come back during Sumeru and the storytelling killed it again LOL. now with WuWa out, I'm checking out pgr too, neverness to everness getting announced... Why would I ever care about genshin again when hoyo clearly doesn't
After playing wuwa, yeah idk genshin is still good, like, unless you want to suffer if you want to explore just use lynette literally free, and i’ve been playing for 4 years so you can think of any character for exploration i probably have em’. And i dont think genshin feels clunky to explore, well at least not anymore like yeah, back in mondstadt and liyue it was miserable, but after inazuma they always release an exploration gimmick, on sumeru you can grapple, in fontaine you can literally dive and swim and as long as you catch them fish you have infinite stamina, chenyu vale you turn into a literal flying fish which is significantly faster even more than wuwa in my opinion, like you literally just FLY, and in fontaine again the new area you can dive and you can LITERALLY tp to a giant whale that shoots you in ANY direction 360° at super speed, movement is a non factor no more, i mean even in the new event that just released? They have these pads that almost make you fly, you jump higher than freaking xiao, only thing is graphics, but playing wuwa is miserable because i have to play at very low, in genshin i can play at mid to high graphics with more framerate. The thing i agree with you tho its aranara quest that shit was miserable jesus christ, but after that they didn’t released anything similar, and also the fact that we have to beg so much for small things, zy0x has been begging for 4 years for loadout, new endgame, all that shit, NEEDS fixing, but then again just by pulling a random character like i just pulled nilou out of the blue and just raising them and exploring the stuff i haven’t on genshin gives me more fun than wuwa simply because genshin open world experience is better, wuwa has the movement, but wuwa puzzles feel like genshin 1.0, it needs to bring weird stuff like genshin, i mean in natlan you will be able to turn into an animal that jumps mid air, an animal that quite literally swims in lava, and another animal that can dive on floor and through walls 💀
AR57 Former Traveler here. Genshin is a full on amazing experience! For the first month. Monstadt story is bad, Liyue Story is super bad. Inazuma Story was actual dogwater, like why would you forgive a the shogun for what shes done just because she pulled some sacred sword out of her booba?? She literally ruined lots of lives!! Sumeru 7/10. Fontaine 8/10. Since i love Furina Fontaine gets a 9/10. Dansleif quest? Actually good. Is the game worth playing because of its story and lore? Soso. Exploration is straight ass, i always run my Kazuha, Hutao, 4* water femboy/forgot his name, and Diona. And i cannot bring myself to get rid of Kazuha in my team because exploration sux and isnt fun without him. Bosses? Theres no bosses in the game. Fun after the first month of playing it? More boring than other Gacha games, daily is not as rewarding as other gacha games. Character design is good but theyre other games are better. Overall rating on Genshin on my opinion is 6/10.
See i love honkai star rail. And will probably love zenless zone zero. But hoyo will NEVER get me to even LIKE genshin! When it comes to open world gacha games so far it's wuwa >>>>> gi
i logged into genshin today after not playing for 1.5 years, full on expecting to get a ton of free wishes, and i had like 10 left until hard pity. I got 300 primogems 💀 that's it bro. this is crazy... i log into wuwa and get 30 free wishes?? bro mihoyo doesn't deserve a single penny
It’s called, you have to work for your pulls. Could you imagine that. Having to actually play the game to get your rewards rather than sitting on your fat ass and doing nothing?💀
@@Bronan2920 Yes, I suppose I remember something of that nature. It's a rather measly "rewards", I'd say. I wonder whether the Waves has something similar or will implement returner gift or some sort. I imagine they'd be pretty generous.
Crazy how this game barely improved everything we would ask for should have already been implemented before the 2nd anniversary if the davs gave a shit Yk i hoped WuWa would bring competition for their game back when it was announced but now i just want GI to die for wasting my time
While I hate genshin after playing wuwa, I enjoyed the aranara quest. It was much better than Inazuma exploration quests or Archon quests there. Especially the final boss fight of that quest was has nice vibes despite being easy af. But overall I agree with the rest of takes.
I used to love genshin, the environments were beautiful, i loved exploring new places but after a year of never being able to get good artifacts, my favorite ch not being able to deal good dmg without 5 star weapons, incredibly unlucky with pulls, never getting the characters i wanted as a f2p im done with it. Playing wuwa is like a breath of fresh air. Ive been able to get a 5star weapon for my fav ch right from the start, meanwhile in genshin i still dont have one. Fuck genshin honestly. Never going back to it, its like willingly subjecting yourself to suffering
Yeah, I spent hundred of dollars for Zhongli and I could get both Jiyan and his 5* weapon with less than $50 as a dolphin, boo hoo. 😭 But it was what it was. I haven't touched GI either since the Waves' release, honestly.
You got the short end of the stick, can't blame you for quitting. Luck is the one factor that literally makes or breaks your gacha experience. Anyone would continue playing after pulling C2 Hutao in 100 pulls and Homa in 50. Nobody would continue playing after going to max pity twice, C0R0 character with trash artifacts.
Bruh I got jinshi and her weapon (never possible with Genshin, it’s always either or) relatively easy. Was expecting to grind for pulls but didn’t have to. Breath of fresh air
@@bitboss1385 if the devs cared we would get that in 5.0 But of course thats not gonna happen even though its super easy they just have to make the saurians usable in every region and the problem would be solved
As someone who have played Genshin for over 1150 days(around 6000+ hrs played) and 100% all regions(also yes I did complete the whole Aranara quest because I have all chests in Sumeru) except Chenyu Vale and Remuria, I can clearly say that Wuwa is waaayy better. I never quit Genshin for all these days straight hoping that one day this game would change. At one point I just gave up. More like the devs forced me to quit as in showing no hope of change for players like us in 3.5 years(I don't like to call myself some Veteran player or something, yeah I can easily 36* abyss with my f2p account no struggle at all, but I'm not that deep into theory crafting and character analysis since the game is already too easy). Well finally something changed but it came in the form of Wuwa 🤣. Genshin became even worse when I returned after playing Wuwa. Now I'll try to dedicate my time to Wuwa and, maybe buy some monthly pass on the way to support the devs that actually care about their game. Not gonna spend a dime on hoyo games at all.
As someone who has played Genshin since NA launch and has 100% almost all regions, I can clearly say that I enjoy both games for different reasons and have no plan of quitting either game yet. It's almost as if opinions don't equal facts and having fun is all that matters. I get that people are frustrated with HoYo, but it is a free game. Spend nothing, play as much or as little as you want, and play other games too!
I feel you bro lol, the difference in gameplay, QoL, Combat, 3D Chara Model is MASSIVE, WuWa is just leagues above those aspects, but honestly in terms of story telling, world building, terrain and architectural designs, Genshin is still miles ahead, I really hope they work on that aspect too
@@demonlordcodm8980 true that lol! But in the case of WuWa it would've been wonderful to see some of those mechs/trucks/patrol cars roving around Jinzhou, instead of soldiers travelling by foot they could've utilized those machines to add more realism to it, just my thoughts in one aspect of world building in WuWa
Both are good games. WuWu is generous, the exploration is faster, and the combat is very fun. But in my opinion, Genshin is still a far better game. The world itself is more beautiful and has more variety. The music seems much more sophisticated and memorable. Character designs are close but I prefer Genshin, and the English VA is miles ahead of WuWu, making Genshin characters all the more enjoyable. Genshin early story was bland, but Fontaine story was absolutely brilliant and I’m very much looking forward to Natlan. I also play games on IPad and WuWu crashes every 10 minutes and the graphics really suffer compared to PC. Genshin in my opinion is a far better game, I think the newness of WuWu helps peoples opinion of it. Games don’t hold peoples attention forever but somehow Genshin continues to hold mine.
I mean GI is up for 4 years, and wuwa is barely a quarter of a year old so yeah, Im pretty sure GI will have more variety. Not to mention GI world setting is more vibrant coz more peaceful yeah? if its kinda gloomy it might scare the kids off so understandable.
Yup, Genshins music craps all over WW, and I absolutely adored the Sumeru archon quests, that experience still stays with me every time I visit Sumeru.
jesus man i dont want to imagine how much time you grind for this game to get that 100% map completion with this slow fckng characters if u dont have yelan kazuha and other characters that makes a bit better the exploration oh my god.
It's fine, we have walmart Yelan now (Lynette). Which also saves you the BIG hassle of having to switch traveler elements constantly just to be able to finish specific puzzles.
I love how people are coming back to genshin and just literally nitpicking because the biggest issue they can find is "Oh no, stamina", "Oh no it's harder to climb" and stuff on that level. And then just goes around and complains about surface level crap because the novelty of Wuwa hasn't work off yet lol. We will see where wuwa will be in a year. My guess: in the gutter next to tower of fantasy, once the feeling of new-ness wears off and people realize they are playing a shitty copycat with surface level "upgrades" that has no creativity to invent anything new after that point. Which is why it showers people with rolls to desperately try to retain a player base.
Bro no stamina while running out of combat is not a nitpick, but you are righr some of these can be seen as surface level but when there are so many of these small problems together they become a huge problem lol.no skip button,no grapple,no momentum while gliding, exploration qol features being hidden behind gacha, limited weapon banner isnt guarantee until 2 50/50 later, genshin is extremely stingy with primos, bosses take forever to respawn(patch addresses this issue but it shouldnt have taken 4 years)materials being locked behind what day it is,characters are extremely stiff during dialogue and in the character gallery, unique designs for characters are ruined by genshins models(itto looks so small compared to his art lol)every gacha has content problems but genshin has the same problem but multiplied by 100 every patch is just the same content but just reskinned over and over again, genshin had the same 5 star weapon mistranslation problem with the skyward sword but gave nearly zero compensation in return, paimon speaks for the traveler instead of being there own character(abby barely been in the game and is already better lol)and honestly theres alot more but you get the gist of it lol and in wuwa kuro has addressed 90% of the problems people have with the game and has either fixed it or are going to fix it in a future update.
@@Simmlexwhat’s surprising is that your take is actually very reasonable. People already seem to be getting bored of WuWa, and the two new characters. Aka the only two characters who aren’t blatant copies of Hoya characters, are hated by everyone and their dog. It seems WuWa only has two options. Either keep mooching off of Hoyo, or actually try to innovate but realise that they’re characters and ideas suck balls.
alot of people that play genshin act like they can't live another second without invalidating someone who has feedback for genshin it happens to me a lot I have a tone of issue with the game and the company.
i admit that after playing wuwa genshin become more shit, but i keep coming back atleast go to vourukasha to clam my mind after roaming around solaris, but for real genshin soundtrack some region is too good.
In mobile though? My device runs genshin at high setting 60 fps no problem. Wuwa runs shit on my phone. Its what led me to switch from wuwa to genshin. I am big on story though so genshin might be a better fit
I’m gonna say it. Gacha community in general is filled with overreactive and childish people I don’t know why the hell do people say “WuWa ruined Genshin for me” I never heard something like that from any other communities like bro wtf both of these are amazing games and Free to play And the only difference in both games are movement and some other minor things like skip button I never saw anyone saying that “watch dogs 2 ruined GTA5 for me because the parkour is good in watch dogs 2” and nobody fucking forces anyone to play any game all day it’s a you problem if you’re playing the same game for every day straight up for 3-4 years even WuWa will get boring after 2-3 years many of these people are hugely under recency bias this also happened during the 1st year of Genshin people praised Genshin for being too generous in the 1st year including people like tectone And people often are forgetting the fact that it’s very normal for games to get better as years pass due to the enhancements in graphics engines ,wall running is a bare minimum thing you should expect from Unreal engine 4 it’s not something new meanwhile in unity it’s very hard to implement it 1:1 from unreal engine but unity has the advantage of being more universal and optimized to more devices which is why my 1000$ phone struggles to run WuWa but runs Genshin @120fps at high WuWa failed as a mobile game and most of the gacha games are practically just mobile games cause in China and Japan most of the people play these games on mobile
Playing WuWa has made me eternally grateful that Hoyo actually cared about their game enough to make it run on most devices. And didn’t rush it because they were scared of competition. This video in general just reeks of. “Oh hey. If I make a video saying Genshin is bad. Multiple gullible losers will go to the comments saying the same shit, like my video, and I’ll get a bunch of views.” This video is filled with misinformation, glazing, and subjective points. L take. Make a better video where you’re not trying to pander to a bunch no brainers.
@@F-I-N-A-L-I-T-Y that ALL you have to say? Only the optimization? Why should I play a game who has good optimization but is a terrible gacha. Also, it's quite hypocrite for you to say he's glazing while you are also glazing
I play wuwa before genshin but bro you just don't injoy genshin because you have no skill and have a c6 or sig weapon its like a cheat bro thats the reason but for me/us have a skill wuwa is just a normal game for us but for you its not because you always thought you can pay to win all game
