It just makes it so much more intense when there is actual threat of dying, like ludwig, maria or Vergil wouldn't hit as hard if fights also didn't crush your balls. Like there is enjoying the music and than there is dominating the game and feeling the music

@@itsame7491 My opinion is that every game is only as hard or easy as you make it to be. I love the souls game. I have been playing them since 2010. It is really easy to break them and I find that pretty neat. But at the same time, the most challenge I got out of them was from my low level runs. Same with HSR. I see a lot of people saying there isn't strategizing in it. I don't think that's true. The thing is, the level of strategy required isn't that hard to figure out. But figuring it out is still fun. I had the most fun, and challenge, when I tried to break simulation runs for level 62 with my level 45 characters. And I actually did it with the right comp and buffs.

@@adnansaleem6167 well thing with souls is, the game is still challenging enough without restrictions, challenge runs are like bonus for trying to push the game. Atleast on first playthrough. In HSR though, there is like no problem if you don't bother with any of the game mechanics, the game just let's you completely ignore them without much consequences.

But then again, honkai players seem to genuinely believe that honkai music is some profound level of musical composition so whatever. Not my concern. If you like it, awesome. More power to you, but as someone who's studied music for 18 years, it's really nothing all that special from a composition standpoint.

The effects are so numerous sometimes I lose sight of enemies for a good couple of seconds 😂😂😂

So think about our skill level: we don't even need to see enemies nor know what the hell they are doing but basically just play the deadly dance of skills, ultimates, timers, counters and QTEs.

I've found that it's a different kind of stress. Facing an enemy that's too strong in Genshin is a frantic, intense sort of stress, while dealing with the same thing in Star Rail feels more like inevitable death slowly creeping closer.

As a HSR player too, well I am now in Trailblazer 67... I can say that it's not stressful and I can use the autopilot thing and win HAHAHAHAHAHA [Bladie just do carry], it is stressful in early game especially if you don't have Natasha yet

Facts. You hit the nail on the head. One is about using real time reactions to over come your foe & the other is about strategizing & pre-prepping to over come your foe. One is not better or worst than the other, just different ways to express (& enjoy) games.

GI? Execution? Most of GI gameplay (with good characters) is just cycling through skills and ults, occasionally attacking or dodging and just melting everything in front of you. GI tries to go for souls style combat with dodging and openings for attacks, but what's the point if you can just pop a shield and ignore 90% of bosses mechanics? Sure, you can main Amber (or Beidou like myself) and play GI as more of a Zelda game (treating every combat encounter as a puzzle), but that would be severely handicapping yourself and essentially doing a challenge run if game was in any way hard. So no, skill expression and diversity of gameplay is actually an issue in Genshin, not something it does well, and it's been in this way for a while. Dendro slightly helped initially, but then turned out to be completely busted and at this point I don't think Hoyo are willing to change anything.

@@ocean7790 no, you're missing the point. When you have to go out of your way to adds something depth to a combat system, then that system has some issues. Imagine if there we no autopilot team comps in the game and every boss forced you to play in it's own unique rhythm and weave your skills in a specific way - maybe with more emphasis on positioning and knowing patterns or hitting weak spots (which is kinda already in the game, but is pretty much rudimentary) or using certain elements at just the right time, etc. Is it so hard and impossible to implement? Not really. Would it improve the gameplay? Significantly, maybe it will also give you a real reason to try out different characters. For the record, I don't think either of turn based and real time combat is bad inherently, my complaints are with GI's combat specifically and how it undermines itself by allowing you to ignore most of you if your numbers are high enough. Which isn't hard to archive even for casual players. Chained Ogre is a mini boss. I case you'll some time in the future decide to give Sekiro another shot, you're supposed to go to Hirata Estate to fight boss of thar location, get an upgrade and come back to orge. Or you can fight him like a Dark Souls boss, prioritising dodging and getting behind his back. His attacks look overwhelming, but have bad tracking so the only thing you have to worry about are sometimes junky grabs, but you can also stealth deathblow him before the fight even starts, so it shouldn't be much of an issue. Man, I wish I could (or if there were a need) write a paragraph like that about Genshin bosses and their fights. Raiden and Scara are the closest to somewhat challenging and complex, I wish there were many more.

It’s the opposite for me, I’m good at dodging in genshin (I literally beat Childe first time) but in star rail, I literally have to watch the character die because there is literally nothing I can do to stop it. Literally pokemon flashbacks. Don’t get me wrong, I love BOTH games (and star rail is definitely my favourite at the moment) BUT WHY THE TURN BASED FIGHTING AHHHHHHHHH

Genshin was the first game ever to match my expectations of a game. I tried Hsr, and i was reminded why I love genshin so much 😆 it's a shame rpg just isn't for me. Hsr is so cool otherwise. Personally being able to do the moves yourself and the freedom that genshin provides is exactly why i fell in love with it in the first place... My dude maybe in the future but now hsr is buggy, my phone had genshin and hsr, now only genshin, reason being the floor isn't there. Yes. After the first update the floor was gone. Everywhere. I'd have to try to go around according to map, I deleted cache and tried a few more things then gave up and got it on laptop, but haven't played since blade banner on there too now, mobile is easier access in relaxation times for me so I just play genshin, and yes it works fine on phone the only issues would be with abyss 12 it'd be a bit hard but thats it

@@ARKSEK HSR dailies are much faster imo. Admittedly Genshin dailies have gotten a lot better now that we can just do one part of an archon/character quest or participate in an event and get credit for daily commissions, but if you want to burn all your resin you still have to spend like 10-15 minutes doing domains. Now HSR has made it even faster where you can literally just pick a Calyx or CoC, press auto, and by the time it's done in like 2 minutes you'll have all 500 daily points.
