Chad gta IV online - Is fun - Isn’t grindy and no shark cards - Has a decent community. - No futuristic vehicles. - Ai is difficult but fair. Vs Virgin Gta V online - Is plagued by sweaty edgelord 12 year olds and manchildren who take K/D too seriously giving it a highly toxic community. - Shark card greed has made it grindy and tedious. - Has flying bikes, cars and orbital canons - Has aimbot and bullet-sponge AI

To be honest, seeing this makes me want to cry. In 2019 I bought the game and went online. It was like a complete Ghost Zone.. I'm afraid to redownload the game to play it once more only to feel that loneliness again. This game is a Gem 💎 and I hope they bring something like this back :(

the immense fun I had as an 11 yr old, staying up super late on weekends playing and talking on the mic with people older than me. I’m still very good friends with some of these people and I’m 24 and they’re in their 30s and married now😭😭😭

I used to play GTA 4 online with a steering wheel and I swear I was one of the best drivers around because of that lool it's honestly so much fun with a steering wheel and pedals if you got it GTA 4 and a steering you need to try it

I had an unorthodox method too to kill people in GTA IV online. I used to ramn my helicopter into people without damaging it and I could place it in the narrowest of spaces and kill people and I was so op doing it. I legit think I was one of the best pilots on PS3 and now I'm old and 30 hahaha

I remember in 2012 in a lobby that lasted all night with the same people, we had a huge shootout between 4 people and we teamed up to take down a 6 star that was a chase to the airport. Then a modder added lamps. Was so much fun.

This is where it all fuckin started, my very first exposure to online gaming back in 2009. God I miss these days, and the little notification beep when someone dies is almost soothing to hear again. Were there even missions in GTA 4 online? From what I remember it was strictly hop in the game and start merking fools and causing chaos.

my friends miss this so much that we try to recreate it with non cannon fighter planes in gta v, just straight machine guns so it take a while to blow each other up, and when your plane is smoking, you can glide it somewhere and eject to get another plane lol

GTA IV online looks simple and fun. You don't have to worry about assholes on flying bikes. You can have traditional car chases, you drive while your buddy aims out the window at the guy chasing you. If you wanted to shoot a chopper down, you actually have to aim and time your rpg shot. I like that cars can't flip over, you actually have to ditch it and stand your ground.

I remember some of the last times I played online and moders where giving all players rpg’s and we would all have rpg fights lol, I don’t even play gta 5 anymore because you can’t even get outside before someone killing you or all the flying cars/motorcycles and all that shit just make it not fun to play🤷🏻‍♀️

This along with both Left 4 Dead games, Halo Reach and Black Ops 1 were the only games I played from 2012 to 2013 when I first got xbox live. So basically one of my first introductions to online gaming. GTA 4 online will always have a special place in my heart, hell I still get on it every once in awhile just for memories and surprisingly I still find people on there (xbox, only free roam, other game modes are dead unfortunately)

It was a hassle trying to escape with a helicopter at the ariport, I once saw someone trying to lift a helicopter and somebody just hitting a ramp with a vehicle and knocking it down, good old days
