I live in Everglades and no we DONT walk out in the swampy areas at night unless were hunting gators during season. Yes we have gone out at night to shine them.up with flashlights to see the eyes. I'm genuinely curious how he avoids crocs/gators in the middle of the night. Do they have normal spots they hang out so you can guess their general area or do they roam and it's just being alert?
Most freshwater crocodile and alligator species arnt as territorial especially during the day and during the night. During their feeding hours such as dusk and Dawn they are more active and more aggressive. That being said outside of some tail touching he keeps a relatively safe distance from the creatures because they will bite the fuck out of em
Not a florida native, but I've been around wild animals my whole life and I know a bit about these guys. Alligators (these aren't crocs in the video) who live in the wild and haven't interacted with humans much generally will never attack one. They only do so because a human has fed them in the past, otherwise, humans are too large and mysterious to be labeled a good source. These swamp pups are just curious, and likely not hunting in the first place (my own assumption). Another thing is, he can just stay on land and move slowly whenever moving through the water.
@@ddr360 The American Crocodile can actually be found in south Florida. I've never seen any myself, but I spent a lot of time playing in swampland as a kid. Alligators mostly are shy of people unless someone has been feeding them.
