On console, most games with options to interact are on the left button (square or X). Reload is almost always that same button. Its not weird when you are used to controller but i understand why it could cause confusion to MnK players
Since they changed the settings on controller I can't hit shit anymore. I literally can't even hit a grunt 5 meters in front of me and I was a good player before this change. Crytek already did this in the past one time and I needed several days to find out my old settings.
Same here! I have around 1k hours on controller and was pretty confident with my aim but cannot hit shit anymore. The more I try to change the settings the worse they go
we can only hope that they will never put aim assist in the game. in other games people run fake controller programs to gain the aim assist for mouse. if you think reshade was bad, wait for aim assist on mouse and keyboard..
I don't think reshade was bad while pay2win skins and legacy graphic bugs exist. But the worst thing in the Hunt is autobalance, when 3-4 mmr can play vs 6 mmr gay party.
@@Karaksonen None of those have something to get AA on kbam. ESPECIALLY CoD because you can't even have mixed inputs whatsover because of exactly what i said.
that seems way slower than just hitting the keybind, but i mean.. whatever man. half the playerbase hasn't killed another player in game so this seems like the kind of change they would want.
This is cool to see, at least you now understand what its like to play on controller. Its hard lol. But these new aim settings are fantastic. I can aim sooooo much better now. Since the update ive gotten my kd to 1.2 and have more than doubled my lifetime headshots.
I believe this game could be great with Cross play. Remember that option to opt out of Skill based matchmaking that disappeared sometime ago? Turn that into an opt out of Crossplay/input based matchmaking check box. Everyone wins.
I'm a hunt showdown pc controller player. Normally im 4 to 5 star but since this controller update its been hard. I had to change my controller settings all around just for it to feel good. The changes they did on controller is so bad. They didnt need to change the controls at all in my opinion. I got rid of the boost and turned up my sens to make it feel a lot better.
Aim assist can be helpful for me as a console player, but I usually have it off because I don't like my reticle being dragged where I'm not trying to aim.
Was hilarious to watch you try controller, great video! I'm a console 6 myself, with almost 5k hours....in my honest opinion, Hunt doesn't need aim assist on controller in the slightest, and how they've done it now is way overtuned especially with levering/dualies
i remember playing cod zombies on console and as soon as i got a pc im just like...how do u even play shooters on controller, i want that nice flick capability and precision and my sensitivity high af i think i currently play 10k on my sensitivity and its so nice, i feel slow af on controller. i do still have one but thats just to play a certain few games like dark souls games that feel janky on mouse and keyboard lol or if im playing a game that has driving in it
In Halo: Infinite competetive games, there was a problem with people using mouse and keyboard, along with a device that "tricks" the game into thinking you are using a controller. Tbey got the "aim assist" (bullet magnetism in Halo) with a mouse and keyboard. I hope they took precautions adding any sort if aim assist to this game on PC.
that would be terrible. crossplay works in games like dead by daylight where there is no precision, or games like battlefield where there are so many players 1 person isn't going to be able to carry it on his own. in a small game like hunt (12 players per game) where it's all about accuracy., throwing console players in against mouse and keyboard players is going to just be a slaughter. explosive ammo is meta on console, explosive ammo is a meme and useless on PC. the game balance and meta is completely different between the versions.
@@jishani1 the only explosive ammo thats viable on console, is explo crossbow. Explosive ammo is boarder line useless. Now shotguns on the other hand, thats meta on console.
@@JBXXR Nah I won't use Warzone as example, crossplay is horrible for FPS game. You will just end up people on both side complaining about each other input. For example in game like Warzone and Apex. You have people daily complain "How Controller is not fair because they have AA" or "How K&M is better, because (x) you just bad losing to a controller".
The controller settings change on console has ruined this game for me. Thousands of hours building muscle memory to now have it play like dogshite. Its infuriating. I'd love to see the devs just go and change all the pc players settings.....
@RachtaZ I really like, that you were trying to play with a controller and equalized your handycap, with game sense. And don't get me wrong, but it's always amusing to me to see a mouse and keyboard player, playing with a controller, because many M&K Player are like, you need an aim assist to properly hit your shots etc. I think most of the mouse and keyboard players, are forgetting how much harder it actually is, to have only two thumbs to aim with, instead of having a whole hand and/or arm to aim. Though walking/running is kinda the same, except for you have sticks instead of WASD. Nevertheless I really enjoyed, seeing you succeed and being openminded for playing with a controller :-) PS: In the console version of Hunt Showdown, you're even able to enable/disable the aim assist. And with the new changes tonthe aim assist, it's like magnet if both opponents are moving, which making lead shots nearly impossible.
@@helicopterpilot4810 I'm a console player though and all the devices that make you to able to make mouse and keyboard inputs are cheating, when it comes to playing against other console players. It's the same with the Kronos program, which allows you to to lower recoil and stuff like that
Haven't touched a console in years, PC Hunt and Console Hunt should just be two separate entities imo. They are clearly played like different games anyways.

Nothing against people who play with controller but controller players; as good as they want to be; they will always be in a very huge disadvantage towards mouse and keyboard users. I definetely hope, they'll give us an option to not get team upped with controller users. Even if it's at the cost of higher queue times. Still nice they advanced it.
If the ranking/skill system is done well, it really shouldn't matter to you what input device someone else is using. You could be playing with teammates today that have terrible aim with a mouse but make up with it with a good game sense (or it could be vice versa, they are good at aiming but are bad with game sense). I find the same thing in Rocket League. Some players are mechanically fantastic but will be in the same rank as people that don't have very good mechanical skill but have good positioning etc. Guess what? They are all at the same rank because they win/lose similar amounts of games against similar levelled players.
@@Luna-Starfrostso therefore, the controller players in your example will have a low MMR and will be matched with other low skill players (including those bad with keyboard +mouse and with bad gamesense). You don't need to do anything special because they use a controller, the skill rating system can assign a player an accurate rating regardless of the particular thing that makes them good or bad!
@@Mr_Fancypants the best part of console hunt is playing on pc and hearing about how explosive crossbows and fanning uppercuts with explosive ammo are grossly overpowered when they're nothing but meme weapons and pretty bad on PC.
Welp, seeing Rachta wipe 6 stars with heavy ADS and very ligh shoulder aim and somewhat good hip aim sensitivity on controller has convinced me I'm utter dog shit at this game and should uninstall as soon as possible. See you all on the other side...
rachta you old dog, we dont have aim assist on consoles either. Well, yeah, but it only works for AI and stuff like barrels etc. Which can be even disadvanage when you try hit some dude fighting with lets say grunt. So no AA for players.
@@Bemoeiniet Neenoh is definitely good, but nowhere near ratcha or hornet. Idk if neenoh even makes the charts in the tournies. I think rachta won 2? Hornet did well in it as well. Neenoh isn't the level hornet is.
Controller is way better without aim-assist on hunt. Its so intense in this game its going to mess you up way more than help. If we could control the intensity maybe it would be viable but its still not an option yet
