Bro they had this in the previous years game too! NFL Fever 2003 made in 2002!!! Let that sink in!!! It took Madden until how long to get it in?? maybe Madden 10 or 11 onwards..
Madden 2005 had so much stuff...EA just got rid of it all. They literally scrapped everything they did during the PS2/Gamecube era (the peak of football simulation) and redid everything starting with Madden 2006. The models for the game even on the PS5 are still based off of that game 15 years ago. It is pathetic.
This was way back when life was so simpler, good, pure, innocent from those years of the 1980's, 1990's to early 2000's era..... Where video games used to be fun they were all about the presentation, gameplay, controls, depth, voice acting, graphics & now fast forward many years later in 2023 to 24, people just don't care & all we do is play. - R.i.p G4tv 4 Gamers (2002-2014) - (let the games begin!!!) We all miss that channel so very much.
ya it all went downhill after they combined with techtv I miss watching shows like the arena and screensavers that later turned into attack of the show oh and X-play
I get what you're trying to say but you clearly have let your love of that era distort your view. You're missing out on titles and genres that you don't even know exist. Titles that blow what you love out of the water.

The right trigger mechanic in this game was amazing. Some people forget it exists unless you accidentally do it or you learn from the tutorials like i did. Being able to actually control your pass and lead your reciever was so cool because it was rewarding if you dimed your reciever in stride but a punishment if you don't time your throw right. Really unique mechanic that made this game standout imo
Lmao I still own this game. The blocking was fluent and smooth. Double teams and working up field was good. If the madden franchise had competition no telling how realistic and smooth games would be today
This game looks really good. I think this is the first time I’m seeing gameplay of this game. I’ve seen NFL 2k gameplay and a lot of people seem to love that game but to me this game looks even better.
That's cause this was on Xbox - the 2K's were all on PS2/Dreamcast - When this game came out, it was the best looking football game to date. But it didn't offer the depth that Madden and 2K did.

I always remember seeing these as a kid on the original Xbox consoles,, they would have the demo set up in Target and kids would be playing this like, this isn't Madden, but it looks good and I like the controls etc. The original Xbox was nice but I was PlayStation 2 all-day

Its just trash.. 2k will have a way better game then madden will ever have lol... Trust and believe me homie.. Y is it madden still has stick players on the sidelines 😂😂😂.. this game on All-Fever is insane I get kicks returned on me every single time or AI running plays bust wide open but it’s still better than anything we’ve had in 7 years. love the fever series

even though 2k's animations are better in some ways i think this is the most accurate representation of the speed/reaction time of real-world players, whereas in 2k5 they seem to snap to the ball instantly on defense
I'm thinking about buying this game if I ever manage to reset up my original Xbox. Playing Madden NFL '18 against the CPU and especially against random opponents online can be absolutely ridiculous at times.
Is it just me or can the rbs ACTUALLY freaking pass block?! So many times in nfl2k5 I audible the rb to pass block and he will just fking stand there staring at me while the dts just beat their man. Absolutely infuriating!
I'll never forget when Jay Fiedler ran a fckn 75 yarder on me. Juked n trucked a defender and had at least 20 yards of space. What I get for always playing on hardest difficulty lol.
