While they say they didnt become solists, they kinda did. Solists are like the "main characters" of the orchestra, the performers that are known by name, etc... Brett and Eddy are violinists that are known all over the world and even by people who are NOT musicians. Im french, and i have a lot of friends who watched their videos even before we started talking about it. While i play the piano my friends dont play any instrument, and they dont really listen to classical music either. Two set are making classical music more accessible and really enjoyable. For me they are even better than some solists out there, they are the bridge that crosses over the gap between classical music and "modern" music.
I think that Bach fugue from solo violin sonata BWV 1001 in G minor is haunting me. I kept listening to it again and again today, and now, Eddy plays it! Argh!
You: not remembering what you wanted after opening the refrigerator door Me: forgets what I was comment again Also me: I remember! Also me: I think I forgot Also me: that’s right I was gonna say... also me: never mind
That's probably because you arent practicing enough....practice opening fridge door and eating at least three hours a day. focus, concentration, hard work and a few extra pounds and youll get there in no time
Some people might get frustrated or traumatized when someone talks about ex-girlfriends or ex-girlfriends; Brett and Eddy get frustrated and traumatized when someone talks about their ex-repertoire.
I honestly wouldn't mind watching an entire vid like 20min long of them just goofing off and taking turns playing pieces where one plays the melody and the other plays harmonic/supporting. I really like their chemistry in general, but especially with duets and the like 😊
The fact that the two of them know each other's repertoire from how many years ago so well, though... that's some next level "how well do you know your best friend?" kind of friendship right there.
yaas editor san is the best. also he lives in eddys basement, and he and I are currently planning an escape plan which involves carrots and me getting a pic w/ twoset
Please say something about the Black Lives Matter protests. A video from you will help the reach of the movement. You have such a great platform, it could do some real good in the world. Doesnt have to be long or duper opinionated. Just adding your voice to the chant that black lives matter and people should fight racism 40 hours. Posting as a reply to get it seen🤞 Love you twoset!
@@yumi9626 Not forcing at all, i said please. Just want to put the idea out there and show that some of their viewers think its important and could help. They dont have to, im not their mom.. (or lingling unfortunately)
Brett: being nice and choosing a piece he knows Eddy probably remembers well Eddy in return: gleefully jamming out to the sound of the pizz master's demise
@@blindlittleraddish *pop choir. I sing in a classical choir & well, singing e.g. full oratories without sheet music would require a ton of unnecessary work xD
*No joke, I can lose a piece after not playing it for a week. I leave it for like a week after I've "perfected" it, so I can go and learn a new piece, then I go back to my old one and it sounds like when death approaches your door.*
These are my favorite types of TwoSet videos. Just them playing around with their violins and having fun. The memes and stuff are fine, but this is just the best content in my opinion.
Non-music note: I recently discovered your videos and love them. Was describing you both to my husband as "these kids who are amazing musicians". My husband asked, "like little kids?" "No, they're in their mid-20s or so" And I find out today, Brett and I are the same age. Funny, talented and look half your age? I'm going to go comb through the wreckage of my self-esteem.
Brett and Eddy: Can play pieces by memory from long ago Me: Forgets a piece that I learned a second ago. (Me = Dory from Finding Nemo) Thanks for so many likes! I've never had this many before!
@@papillon5839 They were also born in Taiwan (thus their close family is Asian) and lived in Singapore for a while so while they're definitely Australian, that's not the only culture that's been important in their lives
The last editor san seemed like a person younger than Twoset and this new editor san seems like an older bro constantly annoyed. I like them both though.
Very impressive that they're able to play a piece from over a decade ago from memory alone. I can't even remember what I had for breakfast two days ago.
Does anyone else really want to hear Brett play the entirety of that beautiful Bach piece (5:10) and Eddy play the entirety of that beautiful Paganini piece (8:19) ?!! :O
Because Ling Ling can play the piece the way it was played by the creator, the way it's played nowadays and how it will be played in the future, and the piece will be played perfectly from beginning to end. Just pick the year.
this video is adorable but also captures the exact nostalgic feeling of breaking into the music rooms at lunch time and showing your friends the new pieces you're learning
