That awkward moment when you realize those simple tricks Flakes has been teaching us for over a year now to get us out of plat work even against RLCS pros.
It works against everyone it's just basic physics 6/10 times I read the cut at plat diamond rank. The higher the rank though the smoother the cut flakes is on another level he practices them. Me cutting on a ssl is getting read lol
You could literally upload your ranked games, just like you did here, and make that your weekly content. I know we would ALL love to watch you play more.
@@FlakesRL please do this I watch you leth and arsenal the most and win or lose you guys all have a different perspective education wise to the game. With you and leth having the best commentary on the game itself and why you make each move
Definitely. He's been there and even with how good he is, people even better still keep pouring in to the scene and knocked him out of it.. hopefully he makes his way back.
This content feels like a natural extension of your "Road to SSL w/o Mechanics" series. You explained the foundation of making good decisions going up through the ranks. Now we get to see what those concepts look like against the highest level players. Learning so much from you man, much love
I can’t name a single pro so intelligent and wise with every decision he makes on the pitch, and even simple fundamental moves to outplay mechanical titans like alpha and kaydop. Please keep making this content, you’re the goat flakes
Keep ‘em coming man..It’s really satisfying to watch that level of control over each match. It’s sort of refreshing to see the patience and efficiency at work, even during high level play.
What is funny is for years I always thought you were super toxic. Until I started watching your no mechanics series and I started to understand you much better. Now seeing you play against other pros you are complimenting them constantly for the things they do well. You and Jack are the other pros I am aware of who speak like this and it is wonderful.
@@alias136 He would swear and use harsh words against his opponents and teammates. His attitude always sounded really superior. And at that time he was brand new into RLCS and people always spoke about his slow and different play style. When his team didn't have a lot of success, it seemed like he was probably treating his teammates the same way I saw him in his videos. All of that made him seem toxic and unlikable to me. But now I see that just isn't true, and you can't expect to know what people are really like from a great distance like this. I know people change, but honestly the only person who probably changed was me and my opinion of someone who is now my favorite.
You can also reach this level of understanding what is happening and appreciate it by watching a ton of high level content yet not being high level yourself. Also him explaining of what is happening helps a lot. tl;dr: I'm a beginner yet I fully appreciate this high level of play :)
flakes I've only started watching you for 3 weeks, I went from c1 to c3 and I think I can get to gc. you totally changed how I react to players movements and situations. play smart not hard. just wanted to thank you
I’ve been watching your channel for about the past week now and it’s just really fun watching your play style. I’m trying to implement your style to how I play and it’s already helped my game sense improve so much. Thanks for another awesome video man. I hope you can keep posting more videos in the future.
Honestly out of all your vids I love this one the most. Its great to see how you break the game down against lower ranks, but there's always the awareness that your miles better then everyone in the lobby. Seeing your own live analysis against equal competition really blows the game wide open and shows how your thought process and playstyle all fall into place when it's gametime. Please make more of these 🙏
Men Flakes, i just love you and your persona. You making me laugh very often. And as a person who hasn't much joy in life, this is precious to me. Thank you
Just an absolute beast with those powerslide cuts. Been working on them myself since watching your road to SSL videos. I know I’ll never be that good but I’ll try every day.
Such a fun play style to watch. It’s a nice change up from all the breakneck speeds people usually play at. So much more methodical and actually useful to watch for my own games 👍👍
It's so cool to see the stuff you've been preaching being used against pro players. Definitely love the high level ranked gameplay, I hope you continue to upload these from time to time.
Please. For the love of all things good. Post more of these. This is all I’ve wanted. I’m never on twitch and I love your play style. Please post more like this
Man, seeing how powerslide cuts work even against the actual best players in the world... That's really a valuable thing to see, in case anyone was sceptical towards them in the "without mechanics" series
Hello Flakes, I think this is a good format. Seeing you apply the principles you teach in 2v2 and 3v3 video series makes a lot of sense. Even with pro players, you are able to show the simple outmaneuvers, and it works regardless. You are definitely on to something here! Most people focus too much on mechanics. Please continue making this content - it's great for the community!
@@GoDLiKe211 Fuck, I'm tired as shit right now. I thought you were making fun of what I said but you were dropping a quote to highlight what I just said and adding to it, lol. Is Role Models a movie? Sounds like it has some great quotes, gotta check it out
Dude, those cuts need to be named 'the flakes' cuts'. You scored 3 goals off these cuts and I have rarely seen anyone succeed with them as much as you do. They are literally fking insane.
you know you are as high level as flakes when you notice the persona adapting to something more wholesome :) great to learn from you flakes, it make so much sense, thanks! some breaks in character but it was good!
I know it's been rough in the past, but damn we need you in RLCS, Flakes. Feels like your unique playstyle fills a nieche with lots of potential, if more talented people would get into this playstyle I'm sure it could reshape the meta
That was a lot of fun to watch and the same mechanics you tell us all to use in your road to ssl for 1s and 2s was fun to watch used against SSLs. Like you said, it doesn't matter if you can triple flip reset/psycho/musty double touch off the backboard. if you cant get the ball, you can't do shit.
I used to be a big Flakes hater back in the days but decided to watch a vod anyway and man you're way more pleasant and interesting to watch than before . Even had to sub
Man, The whole "Is it clean, Is it save" has changed my game so much.it Like I went from a scuffed pepe hand C2 To Gc2 with just that mindset alone. I barely do any air dribbles or double taps unless I 10000% know my tm8 won't commit right after.
Great content! Been following the "without mechanics" series for a while now and have learned so much - incredible to see you in full form still using those cuts. It's easy, but damn does it look dirty! Please upload more of these videos from Twitch to YT! You're one of my favorite pros and I think I've run out of your show matches etc. on this platform, going to go through withdrawal soon - love your content!
Awesome video! It's really cool to see you using some simple mechanics against pros and it still works! It's been fun watching you stream. It seems like your getting into rl a bit more! Hope your okay thanks for making every one feel better☺
This guy would be powerslide cutting pros and some people still say he wouldn't be able to play on the rlcs... he is fucking streaming, talking, explaining shit, and beating Kuxir like nothing. Gg mate. Would love to see more of this
I hate and love the fact that Flakes makes it look so easy to go against RLCS players... He's only doing simple air dribbles, ground dribbles and singular flip resets and yet they still get juked over the simplest plays. Flakes is one hell of a player!
I think it was 2v2 w/o mechanics series you were talking about how your RU-vid channel would die after the series. F that my guy. Keep throwing this at us, this is the juicy shit we have all been waiting for 👌🏽
Just wanted to say I agree with anyone telling you you should do this as your weekly content! You have a unique playstyle and view on the game which is refreshing to see at the pro level.
It's so cool to see you using higher level mechanics. While I love your series teaching us plebs how to play smarter, it's pleasant to see some more exciting moves to remind us that you're cracked. GG
Thanks for posting on RU-vid! I personally do not find Twitch great as I usually am from a different time zone. I find RU-vid much more convenient. Please keep uploading here! I would also love to see a Nomad vid!
I had no idea flakes mechanics are THIS good... It's because in 1s you don't need them as much so he just powerslide cuts and fakes. If you've never been lucky to catch flakes on twitch then it's probably first time you see him play other modes than 1s on his skill level
I would love to see you post more youtube videos in this vane. You do such a good job of explaining what you are doing even against high level opposition.
I’m C1 and I get carried away and dont play how I should sometimes but I’ve noticed I’ve been getting loads of goals from cutting it into the wall and getting a power shot from the rebound
