i literally tried minecraft on wii u 2023 and there was people playing the battle mode and using voice chat i was so dumbfounded that a human would do that in this day and age but honestly kinda made me happy
I miss For Glory. While it wasn't too much, it was a consistent ruleset that was close enough to competitive to make an easy transition to it, while being accessible enough for normal players to at least give it a try. Plus, no needing to look online to see what the standard ruleset is. I think, overall, For Glory's format was better than Ultimate's Quickplay.
Imo, I think "For Glory" is better than "Elite Smash." Mainly because I don't have to worry too much about gsp. The only thing I wish "for glory" had were 3 stocked matches.
I just find the stupid part being that even with “Preferred Ruleset” on with stock battles I still get matched with stamina battles or even timed battles. You’d think it would lock me into the mode I want, but nope. It’s like Mario Kart online but you’ll randomly play battle mode instead of the races or vice-versa
just give me for glory but with a legal stagelist to pick from, i want to be able to swap characters against the same player and also play on more than a single stage
Yup! We gotta remember the switch’s cartridge of 16 gb instead of Wii U’s discs holding 25 gb. It was even a miracle they had that much content packed into that game!

Great vid bud! Man, I kinda miss the slower gameplay in Smash Brawl and Wii U. Honestly it's a breath of fresh air sometimes from playing Smash Ultimate and Melee. Keep up the awesome work!
I played Smash 3DS online a few weeks before Ultimate came out, and it was god awful. Every online community without moderation eventually turns to shit.
Im not even kidding, I play smash 4 online alot, mainly because I don’t feel like paying for switch online and because I use my wii U alot (Its modded)
I definitely think Ssbu looks way too desaturated compared to smash 4, definitely. But man I cant believe 5 years ago I thought ultimate felt weird to play. Smash 4 feels closer to brawl than it ever has
haha takes me back, i remember going on RU-vid in 2015 watching For Glory salt compilations, people would type their salt messages as their name. Or Introspecktives videos on Miiverse in Smash, Good times. (Hell I cant wait to go through this nostalgia cycle all over again with Ultimate in 10 years) Honestly, Smash 4 would of been more fondly looked at if Bayonetta and Cloud weren't extremely broken, it really was a fun game.

I actually actively play this game still despite it's terrible reputation & the game being an overall worse game than Ultimate. In fact I at least semi-commonly play each of every Smash game besides Brawl. I still need to finish my Brawl Subspace Emissary save file though, lol
