While I do realize that the hand-to-hand combat system in this game is mechanically similar to the Batman Arkham games, I still love it and I feel it's differences aren't acknowledged enough. For one thing, I like that you have access to shivs, ammunition, as well as the ability to pick up and use weapons in enemy strongholds. One detail that makes a whole lot of difference to me is that not only does the fist-fighting look more brutal, visceral, and improvised, but every blow delivered by Max feels heavy and impactful. The way he fights makes him seem like he learned to fight from experience as opposed to formal training. His methods are effective, but seemingly unrefined, and I think it fits the game's setting perfectly! ^_^

It’s funny how this game has similar combat to the Batman Arkham games and Sleeping Dogs, but I enjoy it more in this game. I think it’s because how heavy your punches feel. Like your fist have the power of freight trains in them.

Well I gotta say, this game looks fun as hell. Now, I don't really know the movies as I strangely have never had an option to see them (aside from Fury Road but that's the fourth movie in), but I understand the basics of the world. How much of the movies do I really need to understand to enjoy this game?

None what so ever the game is its own continuity everything you need to know is presented to you in game, but you really should watch fury road cause its freaking incredible.

yeah course i enjoy the ron pearlman films I've not seen any of the others but i would like to, except maybe the most recent which looks terrible even in trailers and pretty much everyone is confirming that.

Deusdaecon Reviews Yeah that’s what I’ve heard, too. I feel bad for Guillermo del Toro and Ron Perlman for not being able to make Hellboy 3, and for Neil Marshall since he got screwed over with the new film. You think after films like Alien 3 & Suicide Squad that Hollywood would learn to just let the directors do what they want with the film. Hellboy: Sword of Storms & Hellboy: Blood & Iron are definitely worth checking out. They have the art style of Mike Mignola and the cast from the live action films all voicing their respective characters. P.S. Also, this is off topic, but I recommend checking out Aquaman if you haven’t. Thought a lot of your Lovecraft reviews in certain scenes of the movie.

Yeah I own aqua man, its one of the rare decent DC films, and of course any kind of giant deep sea creatures gives me lovecraft vibes, also both animated hellboy films are on amazon prime so ill probably be watching them fairly soon, also I'm not someone who distances themselves from the comments if someone has a question or wants to say something I'm always more then willing to interact, so don't mention it heh

They are more then just old videos, they are a record of where I've been and how I've progressed, id rather look to the future then rewrite the past.

@@deusdeaconReviews Thank you for all your hard work of going through the miles of really bad bullshit movies so I didn't have to. You have saved me countless hours of time by doing your reviews. I have used that time to watch your reviews. Watching your reviews are more often than not better than the film itself. You just have a seriously special magic about doing a review that makes me wish I could do it but couldn't. I bet film producers are watching your reviews because they are that good and if people aren't listening to such a valuable critic as you they should be. I loved the Poe stuff too. Loved the audio book stuff too. Thanks again.
