@@sonicartzldesignerclan5763 Fears can still be irrational. Plus the fear that comes from being in the ocean like my fear comes from not knowing where I am or what lurks below in the briny deep that I have no escape from.
"Don't look down." "Wdym? We're on top of the water- oh" "How did we even end up here again?" "I was promised a vacation!" - The aurora crew (you can decide bc I have no ideas)
And now I want Subnautica 3 to take us to the trenches and abyssal mudflats of 4546B. So many deep sea creatures are already so alien, I’d love to see what toothy horrors Unknown Worlds could cook up.
My worst fear is being stranded in the middle of the ocean, the clouds turn black and rain hard, the ocean turns black, masive waves come and you dont know whats under the ocean
This video really is an interesting look into the mind of someone with Thalassophobia All of these look so unbelievably goofy and silly if you're not inherently scared of the ocean
0:45 Raft: Blimp/Blump DLC (the teeth just resemble that one leviathan from the subnautica mod, you have played the mod combined with return of the ancients mod as far as i remember so i think you know what im talking about :].) 2:48 Voices of the void (indie game): Water Terrors DLC 6:53 Iron Lung: Deep dark DLC
@@krzystajer5485 Thank you! I started the project today! I’ve already got a name and main menu knocked out, should have a devlog uploaded to my channel fairly soon :)
In the first one something that big would probably not care abojt a tiny raft, it would probably be out looking for whales, so its technically safe to be around things that big as long as you dont annoy them
@@m1tl4y0tl And so did that whale. It was going up for a breath of air only to find some dude's raft above him... then the massive creature gulps them both down.
The first one seems pretty cool. Maybe if it is a little bit longer without the monster? Just you, the ocean, the raft and endless floating. Maybe a whale from time to time and huge waves. The second one was okay'isch. The third one I dislike. Way to much to do and way to stressful.
The top to bottom of my fears 1. Thalassophobia (fear of the ocean) 2. Nyctophobia (Fear of Darkness) 3. Automatonophobia (fear of mannequins and real life looking figures/dolls) 4. Megalophobia (fear of big things) 5. Megalohydrothalassophobia (fear of large things underwater. Such as, whales, shipwrecks, reefs) 6. Xenophobia (fear of the unknown) 7. Scopophobia (fear of being looked at or watched) How I got all those fears are from Subnautica, a show that made a mannequin move and grab somebody that I watched as a kid. It wasn’t a funny movie. It was Hannah Montana, always been afraid of the dark, scary ass traumatizing videos of people being killed/followed. Basically most of them are from Subnautica.
Fun fact: Most people think of giant sea monsters when it comes to thalassophobia but thats not the case, thats a different phobia, I think its called megalothalassophobia, thalassophobia is the fear of deep water, e.g. stuck win the middle of the ocean, you duck your head under water you see a giant void which anything could be hiding in deciding wether or not to claim you as dinner
Talking about dreams.. i used to have one as kid where i’d just be floating all alone in an empty ocean with nothing around me, plus I couldn’t see where i was. That was a legit nightmare for me.
just got blocked and ghosted by 3 of my closest friends who i've known since i was a toddler, just wanted to let you know that i immediately came to your channel because your vids help me stop thinking about stuff, thanks for being you
30 years old and still can't swim and add the fact I'm a Californian and have never seen the sea in my life... ya unless I can see the bottom . Big nope.
My worst dream was me in a car just slowly going down a black void the fact i can see outside but it was pitch black ocean i couldn't breathe, then i woke up.
There’s something about seeing giant monsters in the sea that just makes me want to move to Mars So Subnautica was a mix of fear and story kind of. Subnautica below zero was story and no fear. What does that mean for Subnautica 2
Bro i had thalassaphobia the first time I saw the shadow leviathan in subnautica below zero but by the third time I was like bro give my a break you can’t do nothing
I have a mild to mid thalassophobia mainly because I can't swim and if I were to somehow fall in the ocean I would most likely drown and subnautica's one my favorite games but that amplifies my fear to depending on where I am in the game to high because I am constantly on alert because I have no idea what is in the waters with me and how close they are to me like I get extremely scared.
If your computer can run it, YOU SHOULD play, really really play Sortie En Mer (it's a Drowning Simulator game) It's very realistic and very terrifying.
