@@zoltan_takacs Literally the first time I saw someone call a sim my name and then that's the next thing I hear, not even mentioning her dying in a fire... 😂
Omg I felt the same way. I used to get SO scared when I heard that noise. Especially burglar sound. I used to pause and leave the room to calm down lol
I always make over small houses and put beds in the living area lol XD there was one lot in Sulani (Sims 4) that had one tiny bedroom, this family lived there with triplets, so I gave the triplets the room and put a double bed in the "living room" lol. It actually worked pretty well.
Awww! Reminds me of the days when I didn't have enough money to make a whole new room, so I'd just stick the kids' bed out on the balcony. I mean, Sims 1 didn't HAVE weather, so...
The Cawdfather is it the same as in the sims 3?, cause I never have a problem with it in the sims 3, but I haven’t played 4 for long enough to know, I’ve only played it for 2 hours and sims 3 for hundreds
@@toadboy4 Nah, it's definitely slower. That's one of the things that makes me not play The Sims 4 so much. I don't play The Sims 1, but TS2 fast mode is the fastest, right behind it is TS3 fast mode, then there's a loooong way to TS4 fast mode :p
letsrems hahaha same, this game came out when I was 7. No wonder why we are all depressed and have anxiety, we watched tragic things happen all day long.
Honestly kids being able to die, turn into ghosts, and become zombies is a lot more exciting than it should be. Makes it feel like they’re part of them game (sims 4 could never)...I hate that the sims team have taken that away ~_~
Oh the memories :) I remember being 9 and my mom said that you can't get all 8 sims unless you make your family with 8 sims right off the bat. Being the stubborn child that I was I was determined to prove her wrong. I made a family with a mom a dad and 2 children and tried to have them have 4 more. It worked and it's still probably my proudest moment in simming to this day :)
The skunk appears Jesse: "What other damage can be done to this family" The fire starts. One of them gets kicked out from work The mother is making a desperate plea with the Grim while the rest of the room is caught in fire. Jesse: "That skunk is the least of my problems rn" I AM FUCKING DEAD
actual footage of 6 year old me playing the sims 1 in 2000, while my big sister is living large in big mansions because she won't tell me about rosebud!;!;!;! and selling your sims to lift their mood
I remember them crashes from Sims 1. This is why I still to this day save literally ALL THE TIME!!!!!! I've got a life time of issues from them crashes. I don't trust anyone anymore.
Oh god, yes. I had multiple entire babies get lost from crashes. One time in Sims 2 I didn't save and when it crashed TWINS didn't exist anymore. Not to mention having to redo really hard days over and over...
Hey there, I discovered your channel in the beginning of Jan and have been watching since. I was a huge fan of the sims, but the sims 4 doesn't do it for me. You though... you have the most amazing personality ever. You're so genuine and comfortable being yourself. You're an inspiration. I love love love your humour, your channel, and your hair!! You've helped me without even intending to. Thank you for being you.
LikerOfThings i honestly just prefer playing the sims 3 over the sims 4. it’s not horrible but it feels so empty? don’t get me wrong tho the CAS, graphics, and build mode are absolutely spectacular
@@thewinner7382 Depends on the person I guess. I owned the base game just for a few days before purchasing packs and during those days, ngl it was super boring. Once I got some packs tho, although at first I couldn't enjoy it much because I just didn't know what to do, once I figured things out, it's a pretty entertaining and immersive game (can't help but play for like 5-6 hours straight lol). Obviously a person who played TS3 with all of its pack wouldn't enjoy TS4 that still feels a bit lacking and shallow as much, also the game does have a fair share of flaws but nevertheless there's still a reason why even TS4 is a huge success, no matter how much all fans complain. (Also things like CAS, Build mode are much better and really a lot of fun)
Yep. I still play Sims 2 and Sims 3 every weekend. Through I'm more of a Sims 2 fan myself since I don't like the lightning and how the sims 3 look. I uninstalled Sims 4, I enjoyed searching for CC and using the CAS but gameplay wise? Boring.
Living for this energy and nostalgia! 1,000 times yes to you doing this with every version of the game. Best fun I've had all week watching this. Keep it going.
Just found your channel in my recommendations, I’m from Washington (a town just below Newcastle in the north east), I was so shocked when I realised you’re from Middlesbrough but I love it, let’s go gamers 🤩
Sims came out when I was 10, this brings back so many memories, I can’t believe it’s been 20 years! There really needs to be an easy option to replay the original games
I was 7 when it came out, been playing every version ever since. Such a big part of my life. Love it so much. I just went through a ridiculous amount of stress and time to download the complete collection of the sims 2 but it was so worth it. I would love to do the same with the sims 1.
only thing I can think of to play atleast The Sims 2 and 3 and 4 is using Origin, you need the disk from the sims 2 and 3 to add to Origin and you can play any time. Or buy The SIms 3 from Steam that is all I know.
7:01 The high speed pains me. The Sims 1 is all about min-maxing, even pausing at times in order to be the most effective at keeping up needs and attaining whatever long term goals you've set. I would love to see you play again without speed 3
When I played this game I used to make a main family to play and then populate the neighborhood with like one or two full 8-person families living in basically a military camp on some cheap lot so it was easy to plop them down and forget about them
I had completely forgotten all about when you want a job, there is only 3 possibilities each day, and when they change next day. Fun to see the old Sims 1 again, but I must say I'm very happy for Sims 4.
I’ve never played sims 1 or even seen any videos of it till just now and I finally fully understand the outrage with sims4. This gameplay looks way more up my ally. Skunks, termites, kids get sent away if you don’t parent them, zombies without having to download a mod!! Amazing!!!!!!!!
The thing with the Sims 1 and also 2 but mostly 1 is that they're super finicky about social, so you basically have to be friends before "fun" interactions like "joke" and tickle and whatever works, and if they're a grumpy sim they may never like jokes or tickling. You have to start low with a lot of just talking or sitting and talking over chess or TV and then move into the other interactions. That's why later games are so easy because it's so lenient.
this was absolute chaos and also it reminded me of Venin Abyss, a sims 2 machinima which led me to find that it is now a book? A sims 2 vampire love story turning into a novel??? sims 4 vampire love stories could never
damn! I remember when you had to just had to sit while they were all just at work and school and you just had to hope a burglar didn't come and steal your things before you got home
So glad I found your channel, I love you! You're quirky enough that I want to watch but you aren't annoying like so many others. Plus the sims has a place in my heart.
I've been playing the Sims 1 as well recently, and those weird nighttime music stings get me every time. I'm always scrolling around the screen like WHAT CAUSED IT 😂
Kat how & where did you get The Sims 1 on your pc?! I miss it so much 😭 I have a Hp omen gaming laptop so not sure if it would be possible for me to get it . Thanks! :)
I almost just wet my pants when you said: "he has my birthday" and realized THAT'S ALSO MY BIRTHDAY. I share a birthday with my favorite RU-vidr, life is grand.
I always wondered why in my game the sidewalk was never, ever visible T_T. It may be a silly thing, but it makes the neighbourhood view so much better...
You just threw me way tf back when you mentioned fanmade stories from the first Sims About to jump down the rabbit hole to see if any of those still exist anywhere because they were absolutely WILD
I got this game for my 13th birthday not long after it came out. Made myself and my 2 friends who'd come for a sleepover. Within literally 5 minutes, one of them had died in a fire from trying to use a toaster oven with no cooking skill, 10/10 chaos simulator.
I played with 8 sims before, my method is to get the lab and have them make potions, that blue potion is a life saver! Also with the red drink, you can get a friend that's not gonna call saying they don't like you anymore (it makes a random sim fall in love with your sim, great way to get promotions!)
I still remember my original sim family. It was a guy, he was always sad and poor. I had to sell his bed to pay for food, he had to sleep on the couch and I would buy a basket ball hoop for him to get some fun up after he got home from work. However I’d have to sell the hoop so he could eat. Ahh the days before rosebud
My childhood consisted of Sims 2, then within the last couple years I got sims 3 and sims 4. So when I played sims 1 for the first time it was SO frustrating lmao
Sat down with some ice cream to watch, gameplay begins, and sims start scurrying around like mice on uppers and I am CRYING laughing the rest of the video. Couldn’t eat my ice cream as it would have been a choking hazard but I’m not even mad because this was WELL FUNNY 😂😂😂😂
