I have lost so many more times with the iron clad than the other three, I think he’s the weakest character, but perhaps I’ve just been playing him wrong. Just started catching on to the exhaust build strength, excited to try it out more and this run kind of solidifies my thoughts about it. Also if you get demon form I feel like you just win lol
I'll be honest, I also have trouble with the ironclad but I think it's also maybe how I approach him as well. Even in this video I think I say I never do exhaust builds and look how it turned out! I want to broaden my play style with each character as I tend to fall into the same grooves over and over. Glad this vid helped that for both of us 😎
@@langleyausting309 loooooool. Actually in my riddled with poison video I did skip catalyst! I also hit Max poison XD but tripling even 3 poison is huge let alone 10!
@@SamuelLeavitt-w3v every character is strong for sure. It's definitely a play style thing. I'm glad there are so many ways to play everyone so there is room for exploration and initial appeals for different styles 🥰
Thanks anyway on case I hadn't, for a card like fiend fire it's almost stronger to not pay to remove status cards it seems. Obviously depending on your deck and draw of course
4:17:57 you would get 2 energy for exhausting that defense card, sentinel. You also didn't add your strength to fiend fire. It would have been 5 damage per card exhausted plus 5 base, so that's 35 damage
2:51:08 You shouldn't have been able to kill the slavers that turn as you were weakened twice. One of the drawbacks compared to the video game; you gotta really make sure to keep track of those tokens. I've definitely made the same mistakes in the board game version as well.
Yeah, I think in all of the videos I've released I've made a mistake or two. Obviously I'd like not to, and people pointing out mistakes like yourself helps a lot as it reminds me where I'm lacking. 💪
you're calculating the fiend fire damage wrong, it's not 1-2 PLUS that much for each exhausted card, it's just 1-2 for each card EXHAUSTED (if you play it when as your only card in the hand it does nothing, hence why it doesn't work with double tap)
In my most recent recording I'm pretty sure I didn't count the fiend fire card in the damage, like I put it to the side and then counted all the exhausted cards. I thought I did so here as well but I guess not. Thanks for pointing it out! 😊 (it is technically possible for it to work with double tap 🤓, spoiler for my next video 🫢)
Amazing gameplay! It's been a while since I've watched the last video (still needs to see the coop and the other last video). Continue the amazing work! Really nice to work or play something solo while watching/hearing to your video! Cheers!
That's so nice to say, I really appreciate that. Going forward as of the next video the video quality will vastly improve as well ☺️ (I also second screen or earbud so much stuff while working/playing games etc)
I'm going to use this comment for rolling thoughts on the video as i watch, replying to myself as i go. In the "failed run" i think you may have fallen victim to a couple of prospective picks, namely body slam right in the beginning as well as another card that you took over a perfected strike. Act 1 in the bg is a lot of damage races (especially the elite fights), so taking good damage cards early can be really beneficial. Perfected strike may seem lame for a more finalized deck, but it can be insanely strong in the early game, often one shotting enemies so you can skip all that blocking nonsense :p Edit: also definitely would have taken that server soul from neow but i think that might be more of a playstyle difference mostly
I've learned that with the Silent as well. Early damage in act one seems to be the way to go, then can expand as you go. I'm honestly trying to get out of the habit (especially from the video game) of making similar builds over and over. Trying an exhaust style was Def part of my thinking for that. Just tried too early
@@hoogomoogo thankyou so much, we are currently enjoying ourselves in Melbourne for a couple of days. Gonna check out a game store or two and other general browsing and relaxing 🥰
I'm about 3.5 hours in currently and I think I can guess the interaction you were wondering about based on the pieces that are coming together (and the thumb nail lmao). Is your question if you can combine double tap, dark embrace, a bunch of strength, and fiend fire so that you can double tap>fiend fire, draw as many cards as you exhausted, and then fiend fire the second time from double tap for hilarious amounts of damage? If so, yes that's 100% how that works! Now if only you took that berserk, your fiend fire would have done aoe damage as well :p
@@hoogomoogo wow! That is a really cool interaction. My question was super super boring I'll just ask it here. Fiend fire doesn't state if it's attack hits multiple times based on the cards that are exhausted. So I don't know if strength is added once once the calculation is done; or for each card exhausted as if it was a seperate attack. You should started writing the script for my turns though that sounds much better 🤣
Hey I was here for the beginning of this game : ) I was Kipper in the twitch chat and was excited to catch some live before I had to go to bed! Will be excited to see how the rest of the run went
Nice! I think it turned out really fun personally and thank you for popping in and contributing 🥰 I think I set a new personal record in this vid 🙀 one that I'll probably never top
@@MstrKipper lol, no I will never live this down 😭😭😭🤣🤣🤣 That is weird though, I believe you but I feel like loaded die is burned into my brain by this point. Oh well :)
@@Kangorth3:49:00 i think the best way to explain why you don’t take the damage from when you kill the spiker as the last enemy is in a multiplayer mtg game, player 1 casts a spell targeting player 2 and then player 3 casts a spell that ends up killing player 1, player 1s spell gets removed and does nothing to player 2, the same logic is here since combat immediately ends the ability of the spike effectively gets removed before it can take place
@@Kangorthalso i can confidently say the meme was worth it, also yes fiend fire does work that way because strength increases the attack indicated by the sword, 180 damage is very awesome
