Playing The Vice City Bengali Version... 

I'm from Bangladesh and this game was responsible for my entry into gaming lol. I got the game from some random CD back in 2009. Good times

2 fun facts: kent paul is named "Shukna Khan", which translates to "Skinny Khan". The turkish mod ben played recently and this bengali mod use the same name for tommy-Omër/Omor

Literally played this version of the game most of my childhood back in 🇧🇩. Back then, I really wanted to play the vanilla version but it was very hard to find. Nevertheless, had tons to fun and memories of listening to the hilarious music and dialogs.

I can say from experience that this mod uses "Ultimate Vice City" as it's base. It's a modpack that, for example, adds the bridge near the golf course, or the twin towers.

As a Bangladeshi, I still can't believe you decided to play this "masterpiece" 😂. Most PC's sold in Bangladesh from 2006-2014 had this version of GTA VC preinstalled in it. I can't be the only Bangladeshi here who got introduced to gaming because of GTA Bangla Vice City and only played this for half a decade because this was the best we had due to poor technology and facilities in our country. Was a nostalgic trip to see you play this, thanks for giving it a try 🇧🇩

Ok so here is story of my childhood with those unofficial "localization" copies There was a version that was crazy popular you'll see it everywhere in internet cafe and burned on CDs the mod maker made it impossible for the clothes pick up to spawn in the party mission so all we did as kids was drive around and fight the police on the starting island i got this mod installed on my family PC and when i was bored i got into the game file and i found single txt file containing the seaways cheat when i tried it in the game i was over the moon because that's the first time i ever got to get to the other side of the map but when i got there every texture unique to the other island was replaced with pictures of naked women the billboards the buildings and even the road was just sexual images blasted all the over one billboard had a phone number and turns out the local seller of this mod was using it to smuggle and sell pornography without being checked because it's just a game for kids and was totally normal to buy and share between friends

I used to make mods for the Vice City back in the day and was screwing with nearly all mods back then. So this gameplay is like my childhood :D These particular mods are the very early ones, like the 2003 era to maybe very early 2004. As I see no later mods there. With the spaghetti fire, it's actually a Matrix mod. Matrix was extremely popular back then. This mode was fun in the slow motion when you take the pill. I also see many cars have funky sized wheels. That means several cars are most likely improperly installed as the wheels use a scaling factor based in the config file. And when it comes to the crashes, it's quite common when the game is heavily modded. When the crash happens always in a certain area or at a certain point (eg. opening a garage, certain mission, etc), it's likely a bad or corrupted asset it's tried to load. These are easy to backtrack - that's why it's important to load mods one by one and keep previous game files versions so you can always backtrack these issues. But when you mod the game too heavily, it will just crash at random no matter what. At certain point loading more assets in there were either corrupting other assets or it was a memory issue. I was working on my own mod pack as well but this was the reason I quit that and focused on individual mods instead.

Someone mentioned in chat that why wasn't the in game text changed to Bengali and the reason for it is that there are 50 letters in the Bengali language and vice city cannot handle that many letters.

Omg... I remember this version of GTA vice city but with a different changes. DIdn't have that Bengali language but had normal English voice and everything. Had the same kind of bikes on the sart with M60, Tec-9 and pistol, Freeway had an Akira motorbike skin, PCJ600 was always blue, All the mission were unlocked. Many new assests including the one had the stadium, You could buy sea sparrows and helicopters off on the helipads, The normal safehouse near voice point stadium had a spray garage in it for free and the helipad stores helicopters, Police helipad had some policemen around it to protect it, 2 policemen with sniper rifles and some with uzis and pistols. Same with the VCN Helipad but had PIGs officers with only Tec-9 and UZIs. The ambulance car was changed to an Ambulance helicopter and the normal Maverick helis were changed to the ambulance cars, Imagine in Phnom Penh '86 mission a flying Red ambulance car!!! The hunter was change to a black UFO, Anyone remembers this kind of GTA version was that?? if so, Someone please send me the link to download it again, I used to play that version since I was 10 years old!

Ah, the good old Vice City Ultimate. With bengali localization on top of it. I still remember that guy who borrowed my CD with it and never returned. Of course that CD was a pirated copy of VC with mods, burned by some blokes and resold at the stores and markets. Nearly nobody played vanilla version. There was also Vice City Deluxe with so much modded assets that it was burned on two CDs.

Damn i remember this mod it was called Vice City Ultimate. They just used the mod and added extra stuff to it. My old pentium 4 computer from back then took some time to load those twin towers lol,also if i remember right this mod had a trojan virus in it 😂

Hey Ben, i know this is a bit biased coming from me, but speaking of other Country Mods, how about you try out San Andreas's GTA Extreme Indonesia, in all of its Ucok Subejo from Indonesian DYOM Missions glory? I know most of the mod is mostly a retexture, but it should be one that you can give a try. I hope you'll be satisfied with that one.

Reading the comments I knew I remembered correctly. I could've sworn I had seen the twin towers before in GTA:VC and I guess in my mind the content creators that play GTA:VC are starting to blend together.

Love from India this looks fun I wish there was Hindi version of GTA vice city anyways I'm glad Bangladesh had a good time this game looks fresh.

I've played Arabic versions of the game slightly similar to this, they at least use the same custom car pack. I remember the Supra, the Lambo Gallardo, the Bugatti, and the insane Infernus that kind of looks like its San Andreas counterpart. Editing because I just saw the custom bridge, I also experienced this. I remember another mod that had a bridge go insanely high into the sky and it had a custom flatland with Twin Towers that were scalable. Oh man that car flip, I would mess around trying to get sick flips
