I remember the days when all of these tanks (except for the Rhm Panzerwagen) were really strong. T-62A was a beast. FV215b was no slouch. Obj. 268 was one of the best tier 10 TD's, maybe even the best. T92 used to one-shot IS-7's every now and then.
You know the fact that you put, “(except for the Rhm Panzerwagen)” speaks volumes to me. Because that tank has been introduced over 5 years ago and WG, without apology, have left it in this sorry state every year since then, (uncompetitive) I just feel so sorry for newcomers, who love everything German tank related (as it is one of their most popular nations). They go through a very dark tunnel, but never find the light at the other end of it. Not to mention every German Light Tank from T6 and up.
the T-62A is still a very good tank, but most of the community got used to the hulldown good gundep meta so they just can't play with no gundep tanks decently
The reason you probably thought the T92 should have been faster is because most players regard the M53/55 as the true American T10 vehicle… and that Arty can move!
M53/55 was the most terrifying arty The fact that it could just switch targets and not have to move the tracks meant that it could aim at moving targets quite reliably
@@Jim_n_the_wilds fun fact… the M53/55 also joined the likes of the FV304, M44, Lorraine 155 51 and the SU-8 in being mountain goating Arty. I found that the M44 was the best of the lot after the 304 ate a batch of mobility nerfs… but the M53/55 also made for a surprisingly effective battering ram… I had plenty of ram kills by using the front corner of my tracks to mitigate the self damage scoring kills on many mediums and heavies… sometimes multiples in a single match. That said, I personally love the T92… but a big part of that probably has to do the fact that my first T10 grind was the Object 261… and let me tell you, after grinding the Soviet 203s, every other vehicle’s gun traverse feels downright generous.
My first tier 10 back in the day... Look at how they massacred my boy. Haven't played WoT in like 5+ years and going back to having worst stuff is all too painful.
I loved it and did great in it. It is definitely made entirely of fires and ammo racks, but it is simple to change your playstyle to mitigate those problems, at least it was for me and i am not the best by any means, lol.
Remember the old days when you could fire AP shells and one hit anything. My second, 3rd mark of excellence tank was the T92. My loadout was 10 AP and 6 gold HE. The gold HE was for anyone that wanted to charge head on at me. Otherwise the AP was the ammo that carried the game. If you really want to experience the T92 like the old days, the console version is exactly the same as it was 5 years ago.
Its sad to see how T92 ended. Now we have EBRs in the game and 75% of tanks are autoloaders spaming gold. I remember when they allowed to buy gold with silver. At that time i was thinking its great idea...silly me. It was the day WoT died inside.
Wrong. The day that wot started dying is when they started to introduce (and never nerf) tanks that were 'balanced' around gold rounds. being able to buy gold for silver.. fine, but you'd ultimate never really used it because it ws only needed for 2 tanks or so, now you need it for 80% tank because all that get played are those gold-balanced shitstorms of tanks.
@@skorpion7132 It was their way of causing a money-sink and it worked. People spend tons of silver on the rounds to the point where they are standard rounds and WG gets to keep people playing/grinding to make even more silver.... or people will just exchange gold for them or buy premium tanks to earn more. It has nothing to do with players having fun or what is good for the game, it is about what makes the most money and players playing.
Hello I am a newer player and I only paid money for the CS 52 LIS. I am only shooting gold ammo and i still made 3 mil+ in the past 2 days. So I dont really get why people complain about Gold Ammo. Even if I die early and only have about 1.5k dmg, i still make like 50k profit lmao
@@melugem because the money isnt the point, its the fact that people can afford to only shoot it and they are just straight up better but you can only afford it with premium tanks or account
My attitude towards the vehicles on this list: FV215b: Yeah, this vehicle has simply been left behind in the meta. Even though its gun and HP is really good, it doesn't even have enough ammunition to work with. Only have one because I got it before the Super Conqueror was released T-62A: Honestly, I prefer this over most of my other mediums, mainly because its camo, gun, and turret armor are still VERY consistent. It's speed has always been meh, but that can easily be fixed with a turbo Rhm Pzw: It's just bad...not much to say here Obj 268: I love its ammo and decent mobility, but it's armor is very half-ass and its shell velocity is garbage T92 HMC: Ever since they minimized the HE and AP damage, this thing has lost most of its flavor... Anyway, those were my thoughts. HelonTankBlaster-NA LeRenardSubtil-EU
@@Tomoki_Robo If you have it on for a long period of time it'll damage your engine, though I've found my luck in the 62A to require a fire extinguisher over a premium consumable. Turbo/Rammer/Optics is my standard setup and it makes up for the originally pretty lackluster mobility.
Yep, and now it and all arties and any tank that relied on HE are now utterly neutered, limpdicked shadows of their former selves that arent even worth playing anymore.
Pre 2016, WoT in general had an unsaid rule to balance vehicles: - Good gun depression - tank should have weak spots - God like turret tanks would get bad gun depression
The Obj. 268 is still one of my most favourite and most played tanks on tier 10. But it got quite some rivalry since I managed to get my hands on a Obj. 268/5 on the last last auction. Having a 360° turret is quite the fine upgrade.
QB, one thing I've noticed in these "Worst Tanks" videos is that you play them as a long-time veteran. To understand their low win-rates, play them as the average player does: 75% crew, stock modules except for what carries over from the previous tank, standard consumables, no field mods, basic to no equipment.
Yeah. Back in the day people who were good with that tank didn't try to hide it but rather they tried to maximize its view range and use it for active scouting driving around in the open and spotting tanks before they spotted it. Back in the day it used to be really good active scouting tank but required a lot of skill to be played well. And if you ended up in a situation where you had to engage the enemy, it did really well with its shots while zigzagging on the battle field at full speed. That's why the gun is so accurate.
Welcome to my everyday games of WoT. Whatever I manage to do, the team is loosing 5/0 after two minutes. No spotting at all while doing decent scouting. Wheeled tanks sniping me at 300m while moving full speed, turning turret and hull while my 105 mm got magically absorbed by his wheel. Shells going all around but where I aim patIently.
use bond configuration on fv215b and all the internal component problems essentially fissle away. It might be the tank that needs the configuration equipment the most in the entire game. I play the fv215b instead of the s conq because the gameplay is infinitely more interesting imo. The skill required to use the very weird armor on this tank alongside the absurdly amazing gun with the best heavy tank dpm in the game is what does it for me.
@@test_nametest_surname1794 it's not a good tank realistically, but it's the kind of tank that can only be used by a player that is good with it and has the right equipment on it
I guess If someone got it back in the day from tech tree sure then you should do this, but If need to buy it for bonds and then use even more bonds to make it playable, then that is just stupid because there are just better tanks that dont require bonds to be playable
My fv215b gun was shaped like a banana - I'd just miss the whole tank, or hit & bounce, so was left with a bad heavy, that couldn't even do damage. Yes to getting ammo racked, set on fire, crew injuries to... My worst situation was meeting a t8 French scout head on in the open at close range, i was on full health, he nearly beat me as his 1st or 2nd shot ammo racked me.
The T92 isn't a bad arty, all the arties are within 1 percentage of point of each other as far as win rate, which you didn't mention or show. 48.68 for T92, 49.57 for the CGC. As you noticed, the T92 is a slug, like the GW100. You can speed that up a bit with field mods though. You still have to watch the map and relocate long before you would with a Obj. 261.
I feel like a big part of this video highlights how importance of having in depth knowledge of the tank you are playing and how to play based on your team. In all 4 matches QB made little adjustments to how the rest of his team was playing and also tried to play his tanks like other tanks. These tanks have poor wr for a reason. So trying to play them in a standard way like a tank of the same class with a high WR isn't going to work.
I’ve been playing this game pretty much from release. Never have the money or time to concentrate on making the most of new OP releases .. so by the time I grind to a good tank, it’s been nerfed.
I've gotten back into World of Tanks in the last few days (it's somehow been 5 years!) and it's so wonderful to see that you're still making vidoes. I used to spend all hours of the night watching you and Mighty Jingles while playing match after match in my IS-3. I'm having a ton of fun just messing around in all of my tanks and it's great to have you as an audio companion still.
62A and 268 are among the oldest tanks in WoT. To age them they chose not to update their capabilities and the reason I don't play them anymore. Too bad because at one time they ruled the maps.
Back in the old days FV 215B: I have a rear mounted turret, High DPM, high view range and I'm good at sidescraping T-62A: I have the best turret, best DPM and best ground resistance Object 268: I have 450 HEAT, I have good dpm and I have the best camo T92: I'm the most dangerous artillery in the game and can one shot anyone even the Maus Nowadays: Super Conqueror: I have the best turret armor, Best DPM and best armor Object 140: Thanks for the buff Wargaming now I have the best gun depression, best DPM, very fast and good view range Object 268 v4: Ahahaha you guys are weak I have the best armor, Speed and good gun You all should fear me ahahahahaha FV215B, T-62A and Object 268: What's the point playing us anyway ? T92: I got nerfed .... FV215B, T-62A and Object 268: No one cares about you T92 T92: *cries*
Still a bit annoyed about not getting the 140 since I got the T-62A back in the day. Researching the line to tier X twice left a bit of a taste behind...
I love this series. It has been eye opening. Apparently all my “main” tanks sit right in the lower half of these lists. Does that mean it’s “my” fault the tanks are there or the tanks fault my win ratios float around the average on the list. It’s also interesting that the few tanks I use that are actually over 50% win rate etc (like the American T29 heavy) I do much better in. Anyway, if nothing else I know know about the tomato website which is a find.
Personal win rate and tanks win rate doesnt really tell a lot about how good or bad you are,I have 3 accounts, all free to play,I have the IS-3-II on all of them,on one of them I have 52% victories on the other 50 and the third one 43,I have around 200 battles with it on all accounts,it doesnt really say anything about how I play, its really about luck and mm
@@DV-1701 I have 65K battles and a 48% win rate and have got so much grief, been pushed into fire and tkd because `I am so bad` I played thousands of games not knowing anything about the game. played about 5k battles in tier 3tanks and had 50000 xp on one because I did not know about crew training. I play lights most of the time and I get told how bad iam. From August 2021 I am in the top 5k for spot dmg. I think the Centurion AX needs some sort of buff, like increasing the turret armour slightly and letting it have proper HESH rounds with 210 pen. Currently when I play it it feels very underpowered compared to nearly all other T10 mediums
As much as I would like to see some love to the Cent AX it's not coming. I think it's on purpose like that. All other X meds got something special but AX is just this nothing all round medium tank.
@@luke_angelo don’t get me wrong I do love my AX, but man it’s getting crap compared to other mediums. It’s also such a big vehicle. If it was smaller it would probably be okay
I think the CentAX should get the premium BESH from the Cent 7/1, and the spaced armour on the turret cheeks that the Caernarfon AX gets. That would buff it in a way that is in-line with what is in the game already.
Ouch - I felt your pain QB. Those games looked horrible. Sad that there is such disparity in performance to the point that some vehicles are literally unplayable - unless you get lucky with MM.
I bought the FV215b some time ago. Looks cool sitting in my garage. Does OK when I get that 1 time out of 50 games where the is a bunch of T8s in the MM. Orherwise, it’s past it’s prime.
I had a very long, slow grind getting to my T92 HMC. I wasn't aware of the arty nerf by the time I got it. Boy was I sad when I found out! I generally only use the high stun shells on my arties, because even direct hits with the AP seem to bounce. The splash stun of this tank is glorious.
Sadly Quickybaby took the bond tank instead of the regular heavy. That is the t57 heavy 5 years ago a great tank and now a tragic bad tank. IT got a lot of dust in my garage. Maybe you can play a game in it Quickybaby.. And thanks for the fair and transparant video, good job!
not sure about the FV215B since it is quite weak overall compared to other heavies but agree with the T-62A, has the highest dpm of all russian meds at 3000 dpm
I love my FV215B. The only thing that happened to it is that power creep made it irrelevant. This tank was my first tier 10 and i had lots of great games in it.
5:09 "so I'm down 10 000hitpoints" if only... That would maybe actually make the tank decent if you could lose 10 000hp and still have 65-70% hp left...
Imagine spending 600 hours grinding for that cool looking tier 10 tank you like. Only to end up with disappointment. Either immediately, or after an arbitrary balance patch from developers. What's worse, you can't play that tank even for fun, because ingame economy does not let you. I quit WoT long ago for these and other reasons.
The FV215b wasn't that bad when I brought it back in the days. It was even used in Clan Wars as replacement for the T110E5 at some maps. But it feels so out of touch nowadays. I dunno what changed. Leaving me feeling lost when driving it and I don't know what I'm doing wrong with it.
As a guy who served 7 years in the army I have witnessed the destruction of T62 from 1 single shot of the 155mm arty. The tank became like bath tub. T92 is slow even with turbo, but 261 is the sniping arty
I just saw this video so sorry for the late comment. With that said, I truly feel your frustration with artillery in WOT in that, as a former artilleryman in the USMC, WOT has zero concept as to just what an 8 inch, 204lb artillery shell can do when it hits a tank, not to mention the 240mm shell shot from the tier 10. In WWII, there are photos of tanks flipped due to being hit by 8 inch navel gunfire. The 8 inch shell does not need to penetrate the tank to do massive damage. It's frustrating when WOT claims it's authenticity to real tanks yet can't get something as simple as an 8 inch shell damage scenario. Thanks for listening to my tirade.
Object 268 is absolutely painful to play now. As someone who has had it since the 450 heat pin. I guess I got used to just shooting everybody knowing I could pin them. Because the tank has no armor or anything else going for it.
The Object commander is actually a commander from the Waffentrager event not Mirny, we got the gas mask blyats from Mirny and none of them had voice acting.
4:44 > Plays tank designed for sidescraping > Pokes front of hull out > Gets penned in hull "Tank bad" Bruh I have watched you for so many years now, you haven't changed.
I was having a good run of games in my FV215B untill about 6 months ago, i cant get a win in it for love nor money. My win rate in it recantly has gone from 55% to 40%.
17:42 that's what i don't get in world of tanks sometimes. A tank that is 272 meters away from a LT with 465 view range + commander vision sistem + field mods... And it just goes unspotted?? How much cammo is that? 25% from the bush, plus 13% of the tank itself, plus 3% of the camo, plus 11% of camo skill... 52% camo. 465*0.48= it gets spotted at 223.2 meters. And that isn't taking into account the CVS! Did i forget anything? I doubt he's using a camo net or exhaust in a medium tank at tier 10. I just see this situation way too often in my games and now i have the chance to stop and look at the numbers.
You did indeed forget something. TVP T50/51 gets 2% extra camo at full field mods and at T5, has access to a field mod that gives 3% camo. Furthermore, camo skill scales with basic crew skill so if you use slotted standard vents, food and BIA, you get another ~2,3% of camo value. Switching slotted standard vents to bond vents gains you 0,3% more camo, using the vent directive gains another 0,3% camo. A fully tricked out TVP T50/51 without bond or reward equipment, exhaust or directives has a stationary camo value of 34,5%. With a 25% bush, that is 59,5%, not 52%. However, this specific tank has a decent argument for taking exhaust mod. It's an autoloader with 410m base VR and gets 3% extra from field mods. If you play with slotted standard vents, food and all vision-boosting skills (BIA, SA, recon) and with the vision slot empty, your VR is already 488m, 494m with bond vents. With slotted exhaust, your stationary camo increases to a neat 42,5% with moving camo of 35,9% TVP is an autoloader, so can't use a rammer. You will want vents anyway. VStab takes the slot that can't boost any equipment. 2nd slot doesn't have a pressing need for anything and can go for pretty much anything. The 3 choices I'd see are vents, CVS, VStab for digging out scouts, turbo, vents, VStab for embracing your inner blue hedgehog or vents, exhaust, VStab for extremely comfy invisible flexing that's only rivalled by Bat-Chat and light tanks.
I normally use your show as a World of Tanks Bible. I failed this time. I saved my Bonds to get the KV-4 KTTS, and then 2 days before I had enough they took it off the bond shelf... so I continued saving my bonds, got 13.5k bonds, and decided I wanted to use them to get my first tier 10 vehicle. I'm normally pretty patient but I saw the armor rating and alpha damage of the FV215B and it seemed like the best option compared to the others... that's right, the one time I did not consult Quickybaby expert advice, I experienced instant regret. I wont make this mistake again.
don't regret anything in video gaming world. it's not worth the bad mood you gonna get, now or later everything will be changed even you. i am release player in wot and played the game for 3 years straight spent like hundreds or even a thousand to convert exp to buy crew etc. back in the days even garage slots were for money. no free in game goods no missions or events to save money. so i unlocked all the max tier tanks patch after patch they kept added new tanks. i quit wot when the Chinese tech tree were added. because i felt i beat the game and now they copy their old content (china are russian modified copies) in 2018 i came back and found out all my top tiers get power creeped to death. i laughed and said fair enough. no regret. long short if there is anything about a game I would ever regret about, it will be my time only. try to enjoy your tank. and make sure you play to have fun and not you Live to have a fun.
Surprised the 268 was there, I quite enjoy playing with it. It might be because tansk like the 268/4 exist in the game which is better in most situations.
I shoot ap with the french arta. It works really well when you have a good angle. I will state that if the hit 7 tanks or deal 7 criticals in one game daily missions and campain missions did not exist i would never even play arta.
I think the irony is, Artillery get nerfed, these tanks get bounced from competitiveness, and suddenly no one enjoys the game because everything is so toxic. Being focused around having to have the best/most current meta tank or you're useless. Why can't they just improve those old tanks and make them at least viable in the meta, while not completely matching a tech tree tank numbers for numbers? I don't see how that could be a bad thing. Giving people more options seems logically smart to me.
One of the erradic but sometimes fun way to play the RHM scout is to use it to ram other scouts or some MTs that weigh less than it. IIRC, it's the heaviest tier 10 scout tank (but beware I believe there is a heavier scout at tier 9). The problem is that the RHM is a long & narrow tank, so it doesn't have very good handling control at high speeds.
I checked that out and to my surprise, there's a whole host of lights that are heavier than RHM Pzw, it only clocks in as the 11th heaviest if we disregard the unreleased T-44 ltwt and the comically rare Aufk.Pz. V. In T9 and 10, T-54 ltwt, WZ-132-1 and Ru 251 are heavier.
@@Teknokraatti Yes, I did warn that there are heavier T9 scout tanks heh. Okay, I typed "is" but "are" would have been better worded. But if you get into an all tier 10 battle, then you know you're likely the heaviest scout in the battle.
@@aynersolderingworks7009 IIRC, I think it's tied to tier 10 WZ, but panzerwagon is faster. Note: I haven't played WoT for a few years, but I used to own & play every scout except for the French EBR & Russian scout.
How can you use winrate to determine how good or bad a tank is? Whether you win or not is not tied to the quality of the tank alone, but a ton of other factors. It's a team based multiplayer game.
I got the FV before the existence of the S Conq and I still play it today, I like both for the gun. Put a improved configuration module on the tank and no more fire problem. I got 53% WR so I guess it's ok to get 10% more than the average :p
the 268's actually my favorite t10 td. fast, trollish armor, can flank with meds with a mobility loadout or play the mid-long range support with a dpm/gun handling loadout. 395 heat pen too.
It's also not that hard to balance anymore. They'd just make it a Leo with more armour but a worse gun and mobility 420 damage and 270 pen bit worse gun handling and a like 11-12 second reload
@@tomkara1090 They could give a T-100LT 500mm of armor all around and claim its still “Balanced” and “Historically accurate”. This game lost all semblance of physics, and reality. Many of the changes they do, it is for more money. They could care less about the player base. The playerbase is dying. Last 5 years during the summer peak, they shot past 200k in EU, Over 600K in RU, 30k daily in NA, but each year was a decline from the past by a couple percent even for the down seasons (spring/winter/fall). WG is now aiming for short term profits. Would not surprise me in 5-10 years from now they either get gobbled up by a bigger and more successful company or go bankrupt after wasting all their cash reserves.
What quickybaby forgets and so many others dont understand is that a team win ratio isnt one tanks effort,if a tank has low team win rate the problem can also be how teams are chosen by WG.
Having done this series, how would you fix these tanks? I feel like the panzerwagon could be good if it had a higher rate of fire since it is a bigger vehicle for a light tank. Maybe it could be more of an assassin.
This list is literally my garage (except the german light), I played many years back and had to take a break, so my entire garage is just totally obsolete.
Overall tank win ratio is weird stat. It reflects how much games been played compared to others and win ration in that specific team that was created randomly. You get lucky and get in a good team you can sit in tier 1 tank in the bush in tier 10 match (if it would be possible) and still have 100% w/r.
QB getting tortured in the Rhm reminded me of if WG is going to make a Super ELC AMX, I doubt that many people will be interested, but a tier 6 ELC with the old stats might be an interesting scout
So seems like that FV's the biggest advantage which was incredible sidescraping thanks to rear mounted turret doesn't exist anymore. Now it's only about pure armor and hull down. That's kinds sad. All tanks with no armor has to be played like support mediums (FV, AMX50B etc, or else they will perform very bad. This 2022 meta is really weird...
The T-62 could get worse. You could be in console in era 2, where leopards will shred you to bits, the FVs bounce everything you shoot, and the premium version of the tank nukes your ammo rack with an ATGM
