LOVE the song "Farewell Party" by Joe, he does a GREAT job on this song and any other song he sings!!!! He should be #1 in country music!!! LOVE the steel guitar on this song!!!💖
This was really early on in Joe’s career and Wade was still riding out his final radio hit “The Day That She Left Tulsa” as a a solo artist. Plus all you’ll ever see Wade is a plain wood 52ish re-issue telecaster. Wade did however go on to play later in his career for Randy Owen of Alabama and a few Alabama shows after Jeff got sick. I don’t recall this guitar players name but he does look like Wade. That’s Terry Crisp on steel and Brian Spradlin singing harmony playing rhythm. He is a powerhouse!
I think Joe has stayed true to his roots . He’s right up there with Good Day for Living . Fantastic Song compared to the other so called Country these days .
i wish he would have continued doing this kind of traditional country, he would have stayed around forever. But he caved in to the new junk and lost his career. Too bad he had a lot of traditional sound in his voice.
