Good Good is super wack now and they are continuing to make colossal errors from a business standpoint. *IMHO* , Grant made the right move. There's wayyyy too many mouths to feed at Good Good. on the dog note, if you want a medium sized dog that is SUPER easy to train, but you also need to be active with it. Get either a blue/red heeler or a border collie. Any herding dog are super smart and easy to train. Very affectionate and just a great experience.

Best thing about Scharff is that he is basically the only RU-vid golfer who truly understands what skill level he's at. The others are simply dreaming. He's more likely to hit his goals than any of the others. And, Maddie -- you have miniature pinscher, black with tan markings, written all over you for the dog question.

I do enjoy the Matt and Maddie show, we can all see Matt is trying his best and playing good golf even after a bad 1st tee shot and struggling with the puttering, and then theres Maddie, "just aim better" and "is a 200 yard bunker shot hard". Love you guys

There’s a couple of ways to go about improving. When I’m working with junior golfers we use mulligans when needed to get them comfortable with shooting under par and seeing their potential. When working with players really trying to push themselves we go out and play with only 1 ball in their bag. You pay for the full 18 but have to play the entire round with only one ball. If you lose that ball you have to pack up and leave. It can be the opening tee shot or the final approach on 18 and anything in between. That’s a way to create a bit of pressure.

Love Maddie’s sarcastic and somewhat caustic sense of humor (my favorite style). It is also interesting watching Matt’s reconditioning of his back in order to play golf. I have struggled with a bad back for 50 years and it’s no fun living in pain. For me, I gave up playing well many moons ago and just grin and bear it. Golf is a great game if you can recognize your unfixable shortcomings and have fun with your buds in spite of it all. I’ve learned to laugh at myself. It came far more naturally for my golf buddies but I now laugh the hardest. I suck but have a ball.

As for the dog, see if you can dog sit a few times, gives you a great idea of whats a good fit for you. We have a boxer/pit mix rescue pup who's just a ball of love.

Matt not sure if you know this but PGA Tour average from 100 yards is 18.5 feet so dont be so harsh on yourself anything inside 20 feet is really good

I suffer from lower back pain due to a fall in my youth. Three things: Try to sleep in a fetal position(knees to chest), work out your abs and obliques- not your back muscles and most important NO DRY HEAT!!! Ice your back awhile then wrap a wet towel around a heating pad and switch to that. Keep switching back and forth about every 30mins.

Hey Matt, I've seen massive boosts to my game by hitting two balls at every shot. Do a par 5 would be... Two driver hits and choose the best shot or choose the shot you want to practice more. Shoot two from there and do the same. It's been rather awesome for me.

Dogs are cool but they are a ton of responsibility. Get a savannah cat. I have 3. They have personality kind of like dogs but if something comes up you can leave them for a day and it won't be a problem.

You should do a video and only take 72 shots with you to the course. Every shot just count starting from 1-72. No matter what hole you’re on when you reach 72 strokes, you’re done.
