Hope your wrist heals on its own! I had surgery to repair a TFCC tear in my right wrist from playing frisbee last year. I was in a cast up to my mid bicep for 8 week afterwards. It will be 12 months since surgery in July and my wrist still isn't 100% though it gets better each week.
Can't believe I'm just seeing this, I've follow Good Good since day dot. Your energy, excitement, love of the game game keeps me coming back. Rest and heal mate.
Look into physical therapy- they can help you to build stability in your wrist, and mobility if needed. Not only can they help increase speed if recovery but also they can help prevent re-injury! Praying for a speedy recovery man
Hey, Matt, i hope you feel better soon. I love your collection! You should check out Veve Digital Collectibles, they have tonnes of Starwars, Marvel, and much more to collect - as a lego fan, it wont replace a lot of my collection, but some of the stuff I have is a great addition. Some of them are even animated and can be seen in AR as well! Overall, its pretty neat and I thought you would like to check it out. I have iron man figures, lightsabers, stormtroopers, r2d2, Darth Vader and a bunch of other great characters from the Marvel and Starwars Universe.
Matt, sorry that happened but you will beat this with a 100% recovery. You remember when Tiger won the Open with a torn something in his knee? Just like you he wanted to keep practicing. Guess what? His putting became so much better. He was only incredible before all the putting practicing he did while recovering. I'm thinking your putting will get even better. We're here for you brother.
The TFCC Matt! Commonly injured in Golfers that I see in my practice! The gap between your ulna and your hand, its the reason you can wave your hand side to side! Effusion means swelling inside the joint capsule. The wrist as a whole has a ligamentus capsule, meaning theres swelling in there! With the lead arm in the backswing, we deviate, or bring our thumb closer to the radius, therefore stretching (and in your case, tearing) the ligaments and the TFCC on the ulnar side of the wrist! All the best in your recovery! Time to strengthen the muscles of the forearm to reduce the risk of further injury!
I just re tweaked a fracture in my left wrist as well. Broke it in 2019 from a football injury and re-fractured it from snowboarding a few years later. Now it gets very sore when golfing. Makes it impossible to swing correctly or confidently
Basically it sounds like you have a moderate wrist sprain. Just like the ankle, you can sprain your wrist. Time, rest, ice, elevation, and the wrist brace should do you well. Get better soon.
Epic, You guys really stepped up for the young fella and his family, I think Micheal had the time of his life too, playing with his son and being part of his dream. Well done to all
