In February 2022, We left the UK for a few days to sunny Spain to play 4 rounds of golf on the Old and New course at Zagaleta. We bring you along to day 2, Teeing it up on the New Course, We very quickly learnt we needed more golf balls than what we brought with us! Also putting on the quickest greens we have ever played on made it tough....Enjoy!

ABOUT JOE
I first made my channel a few years ago and had no idea where it was going to take me, all i knew is is that i wanted to help others on their golfing journey. I always found it hard when browsing the internet to find clear coaching information and the more i read the more conflicting advice i found. So this really gave me the drive to create my channel and make this content.
In my day job i am a full time golf coach working out of a driving range in the North West of Yorkshire as well as Colne Golf Club. I find coaching an incredibly rewarding job and i coach everyone from professionals to a complete beginner. I am always trying to further myself as a coaching professional through training and investing in the latest technology. I am also a fully qualified PGA Professional with Accredited PGA status.
I am here to help you improve your golf, whether it be via golf lessons or watching my online content. Please feel free to ask any questions on my videos to help you reach your goal of improving your game!

it is a lovely course got a house out there, some of the holes are breath taking and very hard. the club house is amazing aswell. fully included when you have a house there.

It’s certainly a fantastic course! Believe there is a charge to be a member of the clubhouse without the course, but it would be worth the money! Are you on the zagaleta Site?

@@JoeLoveryGolf yes we live on the zagaleta estate, to become a member you need to be accepted by another member and it’s 33k a year crazy

@@JoeLoveryGolf Yh 100% should play I’m playing of 7.7 currently was of 5.4 last month went away for couple weeks came back n was terrible. I don’t live out there the whole time just have a house but I’m there a fair amount.

@@JoeLoveryGolf Almost ridiculous! New Course...Some of the holes...You feel like you're playing in The Jurassic Park! And the tranquility of the Old Course is just out of this world. Really looking forward to next time (May)!

@@stevenholmdahl1162 very nice! Playing the old felt extra special with it being members and guests only! The old really blew me away, from the first tee all the way to the 18th green! Do you go fairly regularly?

@@JoeLoveryGolf Agree! I played the Old Course last year. In April, in the afternoon, blue sky and only me and the CEO of Zagaleta. Had the course for ourselves (my girlfriend spent 2 hours in the sun, sipping cava on the balcony, but joined us in the buggy for the last 9 holes). It was a true privilege! The whole area is spectacular...I really like the south of Spain (as long as you keep away from the mainstream/tourist parts) and I always make sure it´s possible to play in Zagaleta. Also, once you get past the well guarded gates...It´s just super friendly service...Not posh or "stiff upper lip-feeling" that you can get in many other places. The only thing I regret? My really bad golf on the Old Course...Had a stretch of 7 pars and one birdie, but besides that...All over the place (but, I rather spend a few hours out of bounds in Zagaleta, then anywhere else). (Sorry for my lacklustre english...Despite the name, I´m from Sweden...Cold like hell, and 2 months until the golf courses re-open) 🤢

@@stevenholmdahl1162 Haha I would also happily spend many hours there trying to find my ball, absolutely no rush at all! It’s a fantastic place, must have been very cool playing with the CEO of Zagaleta! I think it could be my new favourite place, certainly my favourite golf course to date! I completely agree with you about the touristy bits, we should have a game out there ⛳️👌
