Playmobil Ghostbusters Firehouse Playset Video Review 

It is so much fun to see the old 80s/90s stuff getting a new lease on life in this playset ^^ so much nostalgia here...

the exterior looks so movie accurate, the guys at playmobile did a great job capturing that iconic design of the Fire House and turning it into a playset

I have this image in my head of kids playing with this set and screaming "Captain, these men are in violation of the environmental protection act!" "Your mother!!!"

I look at this 6 years later wow! I just started looking into getting back to collecting love this videos

Even though I'm not a Playmobil fan, I love Ghostbusters and ever since Lego cancelled their Ghostbusters sets, I've been looking for other Ghostbusters toys in this style, so this will do.

My goodness, these sets are just all kinds of incredible! They are on point, with these!

To give an idea of how good the price is considering: When it was new, the Muppet Show Backstage, a much smaller but similarly expansively playable playset aimed at collector market was $89.99. This is pretty much one and a half times as big (with less paint deco but higher partscount.) This is pretty dang good.

I love it! That is a great looking Ghostbusters firehouse, it's good enuff to display it with other kinds of Ghostbusters figures and i guess many others are thinking the same and will get it for that very reason :) Wow, it even has it's own little Tobin's spirit guide! That is a cool little detail. So you were already thinking like i was, good thing that you go through how the old Ghostbusters figures would fit in with the playmobil firehouse, they are a little bit to big for it but it sort of works. Still is an awesome and cool set, it must be one of the best playmobil has ever done for sure. Awesome firehouse set and another great review Dan!

I love that they chose Janine's look from part 2 instead of her plane jane librarian look. Much more flattering.

Wow, such a nice work, all this details. I love all the small details. I would have freaked out as a child. I never had Playmobil. But the Ghostbusters stuff I might have written on my wish list :P

I would love though some new small sets including library ghost from the library scene in small diorama,and don't forget freaking gozer as well folks.I believe that the terror dogs should be in a little bigger set including a small diorama of the backround in the top of the building,with gozer & stuff.Now lets see if everything goes well to see from ghost busters 2 sets & such,a vigo figure with that big portrait in a playmobil style would be awesome i believe!

This remains as impressive today as when it was first released.

We're really glad you can finally appreciate some Playmobil toys. They have always been very popular here in Italy, in Europe, and we are somehow used to their quality. They've got so many accessories! I'm sorry for the missing front light on your Ecto 1, but I suggest you to contact the flawless Playmobil customer service, and they'll send you the missing part.

man, i alsway wanted the firehouse whem i was a kid. Never got it. But i had tons of Playmobil as a kid.So for me, it comes full circle. This version really looks great, i played around with it last week in a shopping center (they have them on some kids playtables in the toys section). That alone is so much fun because this Playmobil stuff has the right balance of generic/expressive so you can create all scene you want without clashing with the style of the toys. Great stuff.

So much detail but they didnt include the red buzzer buttom to activate the alarm!

Oh, I can remember when I saw the old Kenner Ghostbusters HQ in the supermarket. It was big, it looked awesome and it was damn expensive. Now, I see this version and I have this big wide grin on my face. It is so big next to you and it looks so amazing... oh yes, this is a must buy for me. Playmobil, thank you so much for this awesome playground. My inner child screams in glee XD

Looks great but I have a couple nitpicks about it. The door isn't accurate. It never had a garage-style door. It was two large doors that swung open. Also, with it being mostly focused on the first movie, that Jeanine is from Ghostbusters II. Though I get her style was more unique in that one. Other than that, I wish it had a removable roof. Just something to make it feel more solid/complete.

getting this!! i dont collect play mobil at all lol. lego collector which i have the firehouse in lego which is awesome. but this is also a must ,ive brought 3 of the 6 available sets so far still sealed waiting to have all 6 first.

Great value for that price compared to Lego. Playset of the year contender for sure.

Hi PixelDan... I want to ask you, when recieved your firehouse for gb playmobil set, was the package box pretty large, right like about atbleast 25"?

Also hopefully playmobil brings out a motu line & thundercats, so we could get catslair & castle grayskull

You mentioned the Kenner playset but failed to mention the Lego Ghostbusters firehouse. I have the Lego firehouse which is already impressive. I wonder how that one looks in comparison to this one from Playmobil. I prefer the Lego firehouse more though. It just looks better overall and I like how the Lego one closes and opens up to reveal the interior.

That price point is really good esp when you consider all that you are getting.

I checked the mini-mate size and it claims they are 2 inches... An inch smaller than these figures that come with it. However, I think that the size of Stay Puft would look great with the Lego GB's.

The old Kenner one at least had a roof. Let's hope it never rains in Playmobil New York City. I never really liked it as a kid when playsets are only facades for the most part. But maybe that's just me.

How sturdy is this once it’s put together? I’ve seen this on Amazon for sometime now for about $59.59 once I put it in my cart and left it there for about two days it jumped up to $72.99🤦🏻‍♂️

Needs the 4 uniformed gb..it has gb2 jannine ..it needs dana slimer and the sklary brothers and ecto 1 for completion

The best thing about getting these from Playmobil is that the scale isn't too far off from Minimates if you want some more articulated occupants for the Firehouse and Ecto-1.

is playmobil big in the us ? loved it as a kid, was just as fun as lego. my mother still finds little pistols and swords that we lost in the flower beds when she is gardening

Not crazy about the look of the figures but it would still be worth picking up to display the firehouse without the figures.

A few inaccuracies garage door isn't accurate. Also with ecto 1 car there's three headlights on each side there should be two on each side bit of a let down.

not into playmobil style figures, but if FunKo or Super7 did a "retro" 3.75 inhc line LOOK OUT! They'd be perfect to go with these.

just bit on 3 of these (firehouse, stay puft, ect0-1) because price is down on Amazon and Walmar...walmart about 5 buks cheaper, if you can believe that. So far, (nitpicking), I don't like the Library ghosts face being so dark because whe's suppose to be bright/light. I know, they are toys and not exactly representative of the actual characters. lol

I use to love my old firehouse, what I love about it has a kid, was that u could use other toy lines, such has the turtles & batman etc.

My only gripe with this is that there's no roof.

Too bad it's all open from the other 2 sides. They could have made it closed up and installed hinges to open up for play.
