These are some of the most clutch moments in recent NBA history but after each play they get more clutch. Clips are used in a partnership with BBTV NBA Playmakers. Business Inquiries: mcosh3@gmail.com
most overrated shot of all time. Portland was already up 3-1 that series and they would have won in overtime. Definitely a nice shot but it gets more credit than it deserves.
@@jjigi I think the backstory makes it even better though with the chippy moments between Dame and Russ. It was very personal and Dame wanted a ‘fuck you’ moment.
6:26 the fact that you hear nothing but the buzzer and the ball hitting the rim shows how quiet everyone was while watching that moment. It must've been an insane experience to be there live.
I was at the Kawhi Leonard buzzer beater game. It was exactly as you said. Silence when he released the shot. From my angle (behind and above Leonard), I thought it was a miss but on the 2nd bounce I knew the ball was going in. I had already started celebrating before the ball went in. The place exploded right after. Best sporting moment I have ever experienced in person.
Oh man for real, derozans shot on new years eve broke me, it was 10 mins before midnight in my country when it happened and we were just getting buzzed, that shit gave me a heart attack, even tho it wasnt playoffs, still a great feeling for a bulls fan
The fact that Ray Allen not only made the shot, but backed up perfectly to the three point line without looking and didn't step out of bounds.... insane
That move is absolute poetry, a monument to sport and hard training. Shows himself to get the pass, walks watching only ball and basket, strarts movment unbalanced and during the shooting jump regains perfect balance exactly for the release moment, which is of course done as perfect as a book drawing... So perfect.
That deep 3 from Dame to seal the series against the Rockets in Portland will always give me chills. The way he quick fired that shot and just turned around chest out, shoulders high while his team rushed him and the crowd went fucking bonkers. What a great moment
i remember watching that shot with one of my best friends who now has past away. Dame was his favorite player of all time and he went nuts when dame hit that !. i wish he couldve seen his shot on pg1 from 37ft to close out the thunder . i absolutely love seeing dame do this now just cause of my friends love for him.
That series was incredible. Most people thought the Spurs had it and they were getting ready to set up interviews and some fans even left ahead of time thinking it was over.
@@sweezy_inman I truly believe that. If he lost this series, he'd have been 1-3 in finals and who knows what that would've done to his confidence or the narrative. So many things could've been different.
That Ray Allen shot in the 2013 finals (especially it happening near the end of his career) is one of the greatest finals clutch moments ever. Down 3-2. He misses, they lose the finals. He made it, they tie up 3-3, Miami wins the championship in Game 7. The whole season came down to that one shot. His whole life came to that one shot. You can't write this.
KDs Not-3-pointer vs Bucks (and that whole game 7 in general) is one of the wildest things in NBA history, you really had to watch that live to grasp how insane those last minutes were
KD was one shot size away from winning that series! And then everyone was like no worries, the Nets with their big 3 will have plenty more chances to win probably multiple championships! Of course then World B Flat decides a vaccine is his hill to die on, thereby infuriating Harden to such a degree that he forced his way out of his second team in as many years.
@@nickanzalone7265 I don't understand why people expected it to be a dynasty, I mean come on, a guy who is an anti vaxxer, like bruh how the hell would that make a dynasty lmao.
Some of these moments are so iconic. The dame series winner over houston, kawhi winner over the 76ers, as a fan it doesn't matter what team you root for it's just great moments that you can look back and say you witnessed greatness.
"Block by James!!!!!!" One of the greatest moments I witnessed in an NBA Game 7, not even a Cavs fan but can still remember jumping off the couch like damn!
6:10 People who didn’t watch that series look at the clock and see a minute left on the clock but they don’t realize how clutch that shot from Irving was. The last 7 minute of that game was an eternity for both teams. And to have James make the block and then to have Kyrie make that shot later on was crazy. I was literally out of my mind scared that Curry was going to break out and knock down some threes cause it’s happened countless times before and since then - but it never happened and Cleveland finally got that one championship.
He totally baited Curry into doing the wrong thing, too. The Warriors had plenty of time to go for a 2 and play defense. But instead, Curry's body language showed he had every intention of making a 3 to tie it. So he pretty much dribbled out half of the remaining time before taking a bad shot. The Warriors possession lasted 20 seconds and of that, Curry spent 17 seconds dribbling (14 before passing to Green, 3 after getting it back from Green). He could've easily gone past Love to get to the basket, see who came over to help, and made the correct pass. Or the Warriors could've run their offense. But no, he was determined to be the hero. Big mistake. Love defended against the 3 perfectly, and Curry didn't take what the defense was giving him but stubbornly forced a bad shot. He played low percentage basketball instead of doing the right thing. And I think that's largely because he thought he had to answer Kyrie Irving's shot.
Those last three all stressed me out when I watched it live. The Ray Allen shot though was so epic. Like I remember the commentators saying that they literally were ready to set up the championship podium and had the ropes on the side line. And then to see that go in. Like damn. The block from Lebron sucked the life out of me (I'm a Warriors fan). I had been going to games as a kid, and Dub Nation was like damn... and then everything that happened after that. But I will say the most heartbreaking one was Kawhi's shot because all of those photos were insane and hearing the bounce on the rim was like watching the climax of a movie.
Watched the first one with my older brother. We went insane, but all the hype died down when we realized it wasn't a 3. The rest, as they say, is history
It was so good if you were watching the series too cause thunder was acting like clowns trash talking and mocking Dame the whole series meanwhile getting beat up. That's normal basketball but it made it so much better
@@kingrosea9231 cmon bro kids used to do that Houston scenario on their nerf hoop at home growing up. And the okc is one of the coldest shots of all time
@@kingrosea9231 it’s still a buzzer beater in a playoff game that ends the series, that doesn’t happen very often. Not to mention the blazers were down by 13 points or so with half the 4th quarter left.
absolutely loved the reaction on kawhai's clutch shot, him and the bench sitting down as if that would help the ball go in which is universal i guess lol, to the crowds reaction. it was awesome
The Kawhi shot is number 1 for me. That it beats the buzzer, bounces like six times, ends the series, and send the raptors on to eventually win their one and only championship--it's just the most dramatic shot I've seen in my time watching the nba.
Also…you add in all the history. Kawhi’s trade to Toronto & how everyone doubted him, the fact that Philly beat Toronto in this exact same fashion 18 years prior, in the same round, only Vince Carter misses the shot…it’s crazy.
For me the greatest is the Kahwi Leonard one because I barely watch basketball and that was the first game I watched live from the start, was such a surreal moment.
6:46 - 6:49 What I love about rewatching The Block is that Matthew Dellavedova is in the background (look for the guy in the long sleeve white shirt on the bench). He's on his feet, giving LeBron every single bit of praise. He didn't play a second in that Game 7, but he still helped out through supporting the team and players who gave him a chance in the NBA.
Not only the quick shot ability, also his foot movement when he is taking the ball... Ray Allen's shot which was the last part of video can be the most iconic moment in nba history
I mean when you are a fan of the team or player of course it's gonna be better for you. But it was a good bounce not a pure shot so that degrades it a little in my book
how can anything be more clutch than the Kawhi shot in Toronto? I remember watching that game on TV and how speechless everyone was that it went in. Definitely the most clutch shot of all time.
@@robertokelly1334 both equally clutch I think. Kawhi's might be greater just for that second of silence when the ENTIRE stadium held their breath. Such an incredible moment.
Lifelong raptors fan, so I'm a bit biased. Kawhi's shot is just next level. I grew up thinking Jordan vs Jazz was the greatest clutch shot ever, but the Kawhi shot was just so fucking massive.
@@jcmcgee1573 nah. The game being tied gave them a bit of breathing room and a bit of freedom to do whatever they want with the play. If they didn't make the shot, there's still overtime. Meanwhile allen's shot literally saved them from losing. Down 3 20s remaining. One more loss and no championship for them. Idk but i think allen's shot was more clutch
I’m a huge Philadelphia fan for any sports, and I was watching the game when Kahwaii hit the corner three pointer in Embid’s face and I was so pissed at the fact the ball bounced that many times and still went in lmao, but it was one hell of an insane shot
I know Ray's 3 vs the Spurs & Bron's block vs the Warriors are ranked higher due to it being in the Finals but Kawhi's gamewinner vs Philly in the Eastern Conf Finals is the greatest playoff moment I've ever seen when you factor in stakes, visuals, & commentary.
@@firstplaya686 right that’s what’s so crazy haha his game winning 3 against the magic is one of my favorite Cavs moments of all time and I don’t think that’s even here (probs cause they still lost the series but still)
@@justinjones2601 That Cavs team was so trash outside of Lebron. Like within 2 years all but like 2 players were out of the league. They had Jamario Moon playing minutes bruh.
Kawhi had the hardest game winner that I actually saw personally. That squatting pose is almost as iconic as Jordan’s dunk contest portrait if you ask me
You should do, “clutch moments but the player celebrations get increasingly more casual”.. and basically end on like 3 straight D rose clips it’d be great
I was at a sports restaurant in south Florida when Ray Allen hit the game tying 3 pointer. Everyone was on the tables jumping, so was the manager of the restaurant. Such a great moment. Heat went on to win the championship in game 7
Love it. How far back did this go? Because this is only like the last 10 years or so. There is still a ton more. One of my favorites is Horry beating the kings
i like how on the new youtube thing were it shows what area was replays most, that the blazers with lillard were 2 of the 3 most replayed... and the other one was Leonards shot over the sixers i remember see all 3 of these.... being a blazer fan i really loved the two lillard winners..
It's painful how many of these moments involve the Spurs. I guess you have to be in the playoffs a lot for playoff heartbreaks, but damn, it's still heartbreaking.
