Same here and honestly if navi pull out that triple OT first map which they had map point several times, they 2-0 this very good astralis team. The navi haters are in for a rude awakening in due time
Navi gave astralis a harder time on ancient than heroic did. If buzz continues to play as well as he does we really have something new/special with astralis here.
True and I'm loving this astralis, let's hope they can keep it up. I don't really like Astralis -G2 though cuz I both want them to win. Might be a banger though, they have both been playing pretty well so far in this event.
Definitely one of the most skillful clutches in a while. Not just hitting the shots, but also how he played around the boxes, smoke, and molly, remaining mindful of where he needed to stay crouched and when he could stand up. There might be flashier clutches, but the way Buzz played that was to perfection.
Astralis said before the game they had the best T-side in the game, Cadian laughed it off. At the end it was 17-3 T-side scoreline in favour of Astralis across the series. Some insane calls from BlameF.
@@Dexyznah I think he kinda has a point, maybe it was just let's say unlucky, but maybe they just couldn't do it in the moment when it mattered most if U get what I mean. I do have to say that I didn't watch the match though, so I could definitely be wrong.
Astralis played damn well, great calls. But heroic has been so out of form, they're losing the easiest individual battles somehow, missing shots, sprays everything is just going wrong
Also, damn, that hug between BlameF and Devve after every victory is so wholesome. Y'all see them when they made playoffs? Their bro hug is so wjolesome (and I wanna be squished between them 😳 jk)
can we just talk about how buzz is living the time of his life while having dev1ce supporting him like that???? also dev1ce with that vanilla AWP is showing some players that it still requires more more work to be the KING
I think Dev1ce’s awping style has changed a lot compared to the prime Astralis days. Before in the system of a perfect Astralis he didn’t need to make crazy plays and they still won. Now we get to see the peak of dev1ces individual capability, it’s like he’s getting even better.
Device's pop off at 38:43 makes me so happy for some unknown reason, it's just nice to see someone else be so happy but I'm a proper sucker for it. Not even an Astralis fan or anything but I hope they go far in this tournament
Device delivering with the kills Buzz with the impeccable clutches and lurks BlameF with the sharpest and most patient calls BorUp with the entry and infos Staehr with the off angles Man this team is looking good
While I don't really like him either, he's still a "good loser" giving props to Astralis and hugging all (?) of them after the match. Not many people do that in this environment.
@@JonathanWCSGOI agree, Cadian always compliment players on social media even in games he wasn’t playing in. Seems like Cadian watches a lot of games and appreciates talent. He’s just super passionate and that’s what makes people hate him.
After seeing Astralis throughout Cologne aswell as Heroic's shaky series vs ENCE, it wasn't even that suprising as people make it out to be. Every single individual stepped today, Buzz has especially found his footing in the team today and vs NaVi. Device is goated as he always has been. I can imagine how happy the team is feeling after this win, BlameF himself said that even if they lost in quarters they will happily go home as they didn't expect the results.
People are misunderstanding the situation, hltv doesn't allow players that don't qualify for majors/t1 events to show up on their top 20 list, which is why xanteres, device, and blamef aren't on it. Devices actual rating rn is 1.28 (enough to be rank 3 on hltv) and blames is 1.27 (rank 4) however they are put into the tier 3/4 category on hltv and thus aren't qualified to appear on the leaderboards. In essence new astralis has the highest average rating rn of any team period assuming we ignore them not qualifying to appear on hltv top lists. Staher was a top 10 aimer at his peak a few years ago as well and b0rup clearly is better than xyp/glaive were in terms of firepower. The only question here was whether or not blame could do igl and keep up his rating (still to early to tell) or if blames igl style would even be good in the current meta. (Also too early)
As much as I love seeing c0median clown on everyone's hopes and dreams with this insane clutches, it does feel damn good to see Astralis back in form as serious contenders. This Buzz kid with those dual one taps in a clutch just became a minor legend. Awesome game.
And people really said Buzz wasnt the right call. Device's pick, and people think he doesnt know what to look for in a player? So happy to see him playing at such a high level, ggwp Astralis. Blame can call, this team looks great so far. Hope it continues.
when he joined the team i think he was not playing the role he was used to to play and is playing now, so he didn't look really good but now i think no one can doubt he deserves that spot in astralis
BlameF is doing great as a caller, look at their T side. He just make them think when they got the advantage and almost never fail. Masterclass performance by him
maybe hire a psychologist if they don't have one? if they do then they need to replace them or overhaul the whole team because i don't know how they'll fix it because it just keeps happening
It's definitely just psychological. Cadian has a better mentality to handle such pressure, especially beeing seen as the "Villain" team. I think Cadian thrives off of this energy, but the other guys seems more laid back and maybe can't handle the stigma.
@@NaitsHDFTW It's not just mental. They have been consistently getting the easiest opponents in groups because they keep consistently beating those weaker teams and thus consistently get a lot of points towards their ranking, which in turn determines the seedings and who gets the easiest opponents.
It has been such a long time we didn't see Astralis performing against top teams , I was never an Astralis fan but seeing device back in such scary form is exciting to watch ngl.
Thank god astralis not just beat heroic but quite humiliated them especially on ancient. Now cadian can play in mickey mouse tournament and hurl more insults at up and coming aspiring young players from underdeveloped regions 😂😂😂
People talk about m0nesy as the young prodigy, but Buzz has been having insane games this tournament. Pretty much single handedly won a lot of rounds against one of the best teams in the world.
He was the key to winning against NaVi as well. He destroyed them on Overpass T side, just insane. Love that he performed so great on the big stage as well.
Denmark classics: Played: 43 matches (historically) Heroic wins: 17 Astralis wins: 26 The best fucking classic of CS, I love when it's Heroic vs Astralis!!
The GOAT of the game The man the myth the tom cruise himself Consistent throughout the year DEVICE Heroic started fearing the AWP sound Love it, let's go astralis
Man i was almost in tears. Despite all the glory during the golden era, THIS win was really, really something special. I dont know how to describe it, but after years of underperforming, this was superb. Yes probably G2, Vitality and Ence are on another level right now but by God it was so satisfying to see these hard earned victory with amazing plays.
Glad to see BlameF not being a full-time baiter at this tournament. Buzz is just quite reliable. Gotta take dev1ce's word about him. Staehr and Borup, not the most desired roles especially on CT but they're doing great. And dev1ce, gotta love those early picks. The early frags really have huge impacts for the team. The test still continues. GL.
i can see why buzz was vouched for by such a legendary player as device. he has some of the best values of prime dupreeh and prime xyp; insanely good anticipation or reaction when opening up a site like dupreeh. great spacial awareness and cool in 1vX scenarios. maybe a bit of ropz/blameF too. the timings he finds on lurks are impeccable. megastar potential.
It kind of is funny, also device is just a fucking god. Coming back after a year break and playing like this honestly, I get why people think s1mple is the goat, but why do we hear ppl talking about device rarely in that conversation? What a fucking God
Heroic, cursed to never win LAN IEM. (You can even check their entire result history; they've only ever won IEM qualifiers and those were before the danish lineup) I'm always happy whenever I see them lose for some reason in any big LAN tournament. Just something about them always upsetting the favourite team and then choking afterwards.
Remember when everybody laughed when dev1ce came back, being a t2/t3 team. Well, guess not anymore. To the people who doubted how good dev1ce was, you get to experience it once again. But, his whole team stepped up.
I remember a past game in this tournament where the caster said if astralis wants to win this, buzz has to show up. and you what he did? almost drops another 30 kill game
This fragging machine dev1ce is in divine form. Meanwhile c0median almost got eliminated by Mongols (the most inexperienced team of tournaments), I didn’t expect them to win against Astralis specially the Astralis that just beat Na’Vi. he should focus more on game rather than yelling…
loving this astralis and this was absolutely insane and proves that they’re probably a top 4-5 team rn but there’s too much hate towards cadiaN rn y’all need to actually calm down
S1mple jogador da decada foi ridiculo , dev1ce é o verdadeiro goat desse game , maluco voltou performando nas alturas. Como ele nunca foi eleito melhor jogador do mundo é totalmente uma sacanagem
I’m really not surprised by this result at all, though I thought it would be a 2-1 for Astralis. Heroic’s huge issue is that their star/firepower is very limited compared to a team like Astralis, provided that this level of play from Buzz(who seemed just terrible until recently) and the supporting cast is even semi-achievable going forward. Cadian is a good enough AWPer and a very good Arena player, and he might be the best caller right now, but dev1ce is way better and has been mutilating everyone since he came back to Astralis, and doesn’t have the pressure of IGLing the team(I’m sure he assists a lot, though) in addition to shooting everyone out of the server. BlameF, despite the baiter reputation, seems to be ridiculously individually skilled for a caller, and he at least calls a good game. Not as good of a caller as Cadian, but not a million miles off either. The supporting cast on Astralis seemed horrible under Glaive, but this reshuffled roster seems to at least know about a mouse and keyboard, and Buzz has been awesome this event. In contrast, the cast of a players on Heroic isn’t that sick. Stavn especially just sucks under pressure, I watch Heroic play frequently and it seems like more often than not he’s just feeding or doing nothing at LANs, which your best rifler can’t be doing. Jabbi seemed like he was super stable in big LAN matches until now, but this event he fell down a notch. Sjuush is probably who I’d rate most highly on Heroic for his role, but he’s not the kind of player to bang the opponent out of the server constantly. The lack of a real resource hog volume fragger on Heroic, and the lack of a star sniper, results in the team crumbling in games like this. Cadian has to start calling his own number more to make plays go off, for example. There’s not an ‘engine’ player on their team that you can dump resources into to start motoring back into the match. Doesn’t have to be Shiro level, just has to be a level above the firepower they have now. Realistically, Astralis went into this match with the 2 best players on the server, got given Ancient, and at that point the betting odds should have favoured them, because that’s the exact situation that’d make Heroic struggle.
the highlights doesn't show, on the match cadian saved 98342743 times waiting over 1 minute each round repeatedly, so this comment goes to his incredible baiting performance.
WHOO-HOO! HEROIC IS OUT! I dont even care what happens for the rest of this tournament because HEROIC IS OUT! 🎉🎉 For the (rare) kind Heroic fans: Heroic is good, and it's good that even at one of their worst forms for the past year or so, they still put up a good fight against an Astralis where Devve is, as he says, at his peak mechanically, where Buzz is showing why this team trusts him more than Altekz, and where BlameF is showing why he can be a good IGL for his squad. This playoffs has been hype so far and I can't wait for Day 2! Any team could win and I'd be happy. Still rooting for G2 though! Let's go boys!
As a Heroic fan Unfortunately , the teams that crush Heroic like this are infected with heroic's curse. For example, the Outsiders team defeated Heroic in the final and never performed well in form again. G2 IEM Katowice beat them in the Final of the 2022 tournament and could not return to their former performances for a long time this year. OG (Blast Premier World Final). And unfortunately, not only in the finals and semi-finals, Heroic loves to choke.
@@PepJurgenola ayo 😳 Vitality seems to be the exception though, Vita beat Heroic in Rio and then won the major after right? Haha, but cool curse idea though, will keep an eye out for it in the future if it holds up 😅 And sorry for your team's loss! They still played insanely well! Was kinda hoping G2 wouldnt have to face them because they're just that scary haha
