hello there, what a great video, I'm sure it was very satisfying to you as well... a suggestion you may want to consider is shelving for non toy items like plants and decor and/or mounting the tv... this will give back space on your cube organizer and you don't have worry about anything accidentally being pulled down... thank you for the motivation, my grandson's room was just updated so now the declutter must begin to determine what will make the cut to get back in the room 😉... thanks again for the inspiration, have a lovely week, see you in the next video!

Toy library for the win! We still use it at age 13, kid does a version of it all on his own now. Honestly it works well for adults too!

I understand the lack of space! I (unfortunately) live in an apartment. It's 1300sq ft with a full basement though. It's not ideal but it's enough. My son doesn't have a playroom so my living room is his playroom!

@@Becky_Moss (sorry this is long but the ending pays off for you, hahaha!) There's 4 of us that live in my home full time, 6 with visitation schedules. Me and my daughter 11yrs (she has visited her dad every other weekend(ish) since she was 17m old). Met my boyfriend (9yrs together) he has 14yo/12yo daughters. They visit every other weekend. We have a 3yo son together. His girls are in the master with bunk beds. I made the other half into a preteen space. Put tapestries on the walls and put a futon in there. My daughter is in the 3rd bedroom. My son is in our room, the 2nd bdrm. I prefer the sleep rooms to be less cluttered VS the living room. Ideally he would have his own space but that's not going to happen right now. Honestly, your channel was the first cleaning channel I started watching! Last spring a mom in my fb group mentioned your channel and I jumped on it! I used to be a maid, my mom had her own cleaning business when I was younger and it never dawned on me that people made this content! Your channel motivated me to declutter the girls toys and turn it into a preteen space!! Thanks for putting yourself out there on RU-vid, you're doing a great job with your work, your family and yourself!

It's funny to see how many people try to tell you how much toys to buy or how much to get rid of :P Just buy and declutter things as you wish, it's your home and your space and we'll enjoy watching you clean/declutter whatever you feel like 👍 I personally always love when you're decluttering things that are hard to get rid of just like the clothes that can't be donated, fashion magazines/catalogs or even cosmetics.

I bought some bins to organize some of my kids toys. It’s helped so much with organization and it makes it easier for them to pick up their room. I thought it was funny when you found real food in the playroom. I find real apples in my kids room quite often.

I need to do this again too cause even if I organize over and over they mix them back up over and over. I've already decluttered a lot. Part of the problem is I need to teach them how to keep it organized so that's a job for me lol. But I could probably take some more out and put them away in totes in the closet and keep some out. We have 3 girls that's share one small room so....🤷‍♀️

Great video!!🤍. Kids are so adorable. I can’t believe how big Wyatt is getting. He is adorable. I struggle with the toys too. Sometimes I feel like I want them to keep the toys … and they aren’t playing with them anymore.🤷🏻‍♀️ I started last year boxing up half and putting it in storage. For a couple of months.Then when I get the box out they can choose what comes out. What ever is left I get rid of. But I really like the way you stored it in the closet. I love decluttering videos 🤩🤍.

The amount of each bucket of toys that you are saving is humongous. The key is that kids don't need excessive amounts of each toy! Bank accounts for the kids to learn how to save and for family members who would give toys that clutter the house. Just a thought!

I have four kids and have really minimized their toys. They dont need much to be happy. I focused more on experiences and consumables this year for Christmas and cut down the amount of toys that were from Santa. No board games or nerf or lego etc I gave money from us and even my 6 year old loved it.

No matter how many times I try to do that. It always gets back to being cluttered the next day. We keep some bigger toys in a big wooden toy chest thats big enough to make a homemade baby crib out of so idk what to do with that thing. It takes up a good bit of space and heaavvyyy to move.

Hey Becky! #momof6 here 😁 I don't have a playroom for my kiddos but sometimes I wish I did. Currently we have a room for my oldest son who's 12..a room for my oldest daughter who is 10 and a room for my other 4 girls who are ages 4 , 2, 2 and 1... yes I have twins ! There is not a day that goes by that I don't feel overwhelmed/anxious/depressed/angry about all the mess. Just wanted you to know that your videos always help 💖

I really do love your videos, i've watched you for a long time. But this one...storing a ton of toys in tubs in the closet? There is so much more you could have gotten rid of. Putting out only a few (3-5) books at a time is also good, kid's like repetition and reading the same book for a week isn't a problem for them!
