Enjoy your work Joey, I love hand tools but I don't want to give up my table saw and planers just yet. Hope you and your family remain safe and this will past soon. Keep up the great videos and remain in good spirits.
Excellent progress. It's very relaxing watching you work and following along with your easy going commentary. Thanks for inviting us all into your family's playroom and for the video. Cheers, David
It's great to have a video from you regularly as I enjoy seeing your skills and ideas at work. I hope you and your family and friends are not too badly affected by this virus.
Watching your work progress. Is incredibly satisfying. I feel like you are a mentor half way around the world. I hope to have a small fraction of your skills someday. Thank you for sharing your process. Godspeed!
Excellent stuff mate. Back to the basics, and you're doing well. The missus says she admires your PM, who set the example for other countries on how to respond to the challenge we have.
Very nice mate, seriously impressive skills! I'm starting to delve into woodworking and using more hand tools. Just wondering what marking gauge that is (I was looking at a bunch the other night and there were so many brands/styles to choose from) and also what chisels do you use/recommend?
The one I use most is a Veritas marking gauge, with a round/ disc blade on the top. Which is great for regular joinery marking. The other common type is wooden in various styles but most will have a removable blade (held in place by a wooden wedge) these produce a deeper stripe cut and are good for starting molding planes like snipe bill planes .
Shouldnt the groove side be on the drawer? and the tongue on the side of the drawer opening? this tongue on the side of the drawer is going to force your reveal on the drawer face to be as wide as the tongue is.... no? or am i missing something?
