The 1-3-1 Zone is one of the more uncommon zones teams run, and it can create huge problems for an offense. Both Virginia & Creighton struggled in the NCAA Tournament against their lower-seeded opponent when they ran this zone.
In this video, we breakdown 4 different areas to attack when facing a 1-3-1 Zone. There are a few scripted plays that can be run to get open shots, but the focus of this video is to teach how to use principles to create open shots.
The 4 areas are; 1. Corner Touches, 2. Driving Gaps, 3. Room Touches, 4. High-Post Touches
